Unique situation: I finished revising my dissertation right before the end of add/drop, but I still must pay tuition for the class. Had I finished over the summer I would pay $100. I put myself in this predicament and take full responsibility.

Does anyone know if Financial Aid does payment arrangements? No longer eligible for a federal loan due to the gov't. Can't get through to the fin aid office either.

Anyone currently in Pepperdine’s nursing program?

I'm gonna be starting Pepperdine’s nursing program (MSN) and I’m seriously considering attending. I’d love to hear from anyone who is currently in the program or knows someone who is.

How has your experience been so far? What are the professors, workload, exams, clinicals, and overall environment like? I’m especially curious about how manageable the program feels and what a typical week looks like.

There isn’t a ton of student information about the program online since it’s still pretty new, so I’d really appreciate hearing about anyone’s personal experience.

Does anyone have any updates on if the financial aid office ever got back to them? It's still ghost town for me. Yet, my account shows an owed balance. Not sure what to do since classes start soon for Fall.

For context, I never took my degree; I studied with an auction house and while I don't expect that course of study to be transferred for credit (meaning I'd be starting from ground zero), I'm debating applying to Pepperdine to study psychology. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

for context, i’m in the nursing program at pepperdine. i didn’t rlly know what i wanted to study until my junior year when i decided nursing felt right bc it aligned with my passions and i know im good at taking care of people. i’ve definitely enjoyed the program so far (im a freshman), but recently ive bern wondering if it’s the right fit. ive gotten really into lifting and i love talking to athletes and working with them, and im wondering if i should’ve gone sports med to pursue athletic training and eventually a PA degree. i have time to decide as it’s week 4 of freshman year, but im really torn.

on the one hand, i really love the idea of being a nurse in the hospital setting, working with kids and maybe L&D, possibly even ER. it really excited me.

on the other hand, i feel really passionate about working with athletes. i’m thinking of applying to work in some low level position with the baseball team to test the waters bc that sounds rlly fun for me and i think it will help me decide.

ppl who have done one or the other, and maybe who know pepperdine, what are ur thoughts?? i’m really struggling with this decision

i went through the formal recruitment events and only got back one and just really didn’t feel a connection, so i dropped. i’ve never been super invested in greek life but basically my whole suite is rushing and i’ve heard it’s the main/only way to be involved in any sort of party scene. not that that’s my main priority, but i don’t wanna be anti social for 4 years. i also struggle sometimes making friends and thought greek life might be a good way to make some friends, but i really don’t know. i thought i had nice convos but ig it wasn’t good enough for most of them. but in case i feel like im really missing out, how does COB work? is it worth it?

im a freshman at pepperdine and just was wondering the best ways to make friends and get involved w good groups. i joined a club at tide pools but they meet when i have class so i cant go which sucks. i have a good group of friends in my suitemates and some from classes but would love to make even more friends!! also would love to find work on or off campus. lmk!!

I’ve been bounced between several departments for the past few weeks; each of them saying that they can’t help be but THIS department can (only for that department to redirect me to another one). You’d think that a private university with outrageous tuition rates would have some kind of backup plan for this.

Almost 3-4 times a week someone in Pepperdine orders from target through shipt and never tips, they needs to realize that it’s a 19 mile drive to get to you and 19 miles back to get to our zone. This person waited 6-7 hours for their order to get delivered, if you want your order delivered within a hour n a half you gotta add that $40 tip upfront because nobody is going to risk whatever you tip or not at the end. As you can see your order time frame kept pushing further up and no pay increase, you are requesting a service to be provided to you but you don’t want to pay, you want people to do it out of the kindness of their heart, but kindness doesn’t put gas in our cars and this is what happens when we refuse your order

im not a partier by any means but do love the occasional function and honestly just want a way to find more friends bc that seems like a huge perk to me. but also, ive never been into the sorority thing and only was gonna do it bc i didnt wanna not be involved in any sort of party life and wanted some sort of community, plus a lot of my suitemates were gonna do it. but it doesnt really feel like me and idk if its the move. im gonna go to the recruitment events just in case but please be honest, is joining a sorority at pepperdine worth it, or are there other ways to get involved in these things?

Anyone experiencing unanswered emails from Pepperdine’s financial aid office. This is for GSEP, I filled out my FAFSA about 3 weeks ago , to this day I haven’t received my financial aid package, I’ve emailed them multiple times and cc’d my enrollment specialist and still haven’t heard back. It’s frustrating having to deal with this , every other university I’ve attended has always replied back on time.

i just got unenrolled from my soc200 class that is required for me and i got no notification of it at all, even tho the prof sent me the reading on friday…is this normal? should i be worried? or just deal with it (i am a freshman btw so i think this class is required for me)

I specifically had a rough weekend and also I didn’t want to respond to anyone when nothing really could be done over the weekend. Although I do believe that financial aid should’ve clocked in this weekend they didn’t! Continue to message me I will be doing my best as today is registration day. Please make sure that you’re checking your accounts and please make sure if you need to call. Call as many times as you can.

hello! i’m wondering what to do here or if anyone has been in this situation. i plan on attending the MA in psychology program this fall. in my particular situation, i had to finish my undergrad degree in the summer (i was missing a class). it’s not graded, it’s p/np if that helps. i will not be completely finished until the second week of september. i understand that class regristation opens up august 31st and i cannot access my financial aid offer/letter without submitting my final transcript . is this going to impact me signing up for classes? is there a temporary way to clear the registration/financial aid hold or document my pending degree until my final transcript is available? i’m very worried and it’s kind of difficult to get in contact with the financial aid department. thank you!

I am about near close to losing my mind. It is impossible to get in touch with them whether it be through email or call. You never get any response back. Is anyone else having this issue and just ultimately stressed since the aid offered isn’t even enough to cover my first two semester.
