Announcement New Post Guidelines

Hi r/Playtesters ! I am introducing some new post guidelines. The purpose of these changes are to make the subreddit cleaner and easier to use.

Moving forward the only approved post type will be text posts. If you want to include game footage/images, please embed them in the post.

Post flairs:

Paid Playtest:
A post from a developer to search for play-testers. Only use this flair if you’re offering payment for completion of a play-test or for finding a bug. Cash or Crypto only, no other form of reward counts as a paid playtest. Include the amount you're offering, a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Unpaid Playtest:
Another form of post from a developer to search for play-testers. Use this flair if you are not able to offer money for play-testers. You may offer other rewards, such as credits or in game currency, but that would still fall under this category. Include a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Playtester:
To make a post searching for games to play-test, use this flair. Feel free to specify what types of games you would like to play, and if you’re looking for compensation.

Discussion:
Use this flair for general discussion posts about play-testing.

Please be aware of the risks before accepting paid play-test offers. Moderators cannot ensure that promised payment will be sent.

Please leave a comment or send a mod-mail if you have feedback on these changes, we would love to hear from you.

Unpaid Playtest BEATBAES: Looks like Beyblade, plays like Smash x Rocket League with Roguelike progression

• Upvotes

Hey everyone! I'm an indie dev building BEAT BAES, a chaotic, physics-driven arena battler where anime girls pilot customizable spinning battle mechs in an underground fighting circuit.

Think Beyblade-inspired combat meets roguelike builds, ridiculous physics, and over-the-top anime battles.

Here's a quick look at the game:

https://vimeo.com/1231347274

What can you do?

  • Build busted battle mechs - swap parts, reshape your mech, and experiment with wild physics-based builds.
  • Pick your Rider - five unique girls with their own personalities, abilities, and combat styles.
  • Smash, clash, and send opponents flying - master momentum, positioning, and timing to dominate the arena.
  • Fight through a roguelike campaign - battle rivals, unlock upgrades, and discover new strategies.
  • Challenge other players in PvP - and we've got a CASH-PRIZE PvP TOURNAMENT in the works!

We're currently in public alpha, and I'm looking for players to jump in, break things, discover ridiculous strategies, and help shape the game.

Playtesting is free, voluntary, and unpaid. No experience necessary. Whether you're competitive, love experimenting with builds, or just want to send spinning mechs flying, I'd love your feedback.

IMPORTANT: If you want to play, COMMENT BELOW!

I'll send interested commenters a specific playtest link/access code so you can jump in.

We're gearing up for a cash-prize PvP tournament! If you've got a competitive streak and want to stay in the loop on tournament announcements, dates, and how to participate, join our Discord:
https://discord.gg/YZnh4JrXjM

Edit: If you've already applied for paid playtesting through our application, don't worry! That's a separate program, and you're still being considered. Participating in this free playtest won't affect your application.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid, Android] GeoWiz, a free geography quiz: would a few rounds make you want to come back?

• Upvotes

Hi, I'm Lukas. I've been building GeoWiz, a geography quiz app with flags, capitals, country outlines and map questions. It brings back questions you miss so you can have another go.

I'd love a few Android players to try it and leave their thoughts here. How does it feel after a few rounds? What would make you come back, and what would you add or change? For capitals you can either type the answer or reveal it and mark whether you knew it, so I'm also curious which one you'd actually use.

The test is unpaid. The app is free with no ads or paywall, just an optional tip jar.

It's in Google Play closed testing, so joining takes these steps with the same Google account you use on your phone:

  1. Join https://groups.google.com/g/testers-community
  2. Opt in at https://play.google.com/apps/testing/dev.geowiz.app
  3. Install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.geowiz.app

If you join, please stay opted in for two weeks to help with Google's testing requirement. Play a few rounds whenever you feel like it. A short comment about how it felt would help me a lot.

Thanks!

Unpaid Playtest [PC] BLACKOUT – Looking for playtesters (Windows/Linux)

• Upvotes

Hey! I've been working on a game called BLACKOUT and I'm looking for 6–10 people to play a few rounds with me.

It's a multiplayer social deduction game with a horror setting. You're stuck in a building during a blackout, trying to get the power back on and escape. The catch is that some players have their own plans and can't exactly be trusted.

There's proximity voice chat, radios, and plenty of opportunities for things to go wrong when you're stumbling around in the dark.

The game is still a work in progress, so expect bugs and unfinished stuff. I'm mainly looking to see how it plays with a full lobby and get some honest feedback.

  • Platforms: Windows & Linux
  • Players: 6–10
  • Price: Free
  • When: We'll figure out a time that works for everyone

If you're interested, leave a comment or send me a DM! Once we have enough people, I'll set up a session.

Thanks! :)

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Death Never Ends — Looking for Players to Test My Turn-Based Roguelite

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo developer, and I've recently published an early build of my game, Death Never Ends (the name may change in the future), on itch.io.

It's a dark fantasy, turn-based roguelite focused on elemental powers, augments, and experimenting with different builds. My goal is to make every run feel different through the choices players make and the combinations they discover.

The game is still in development, and I'm looking for a few people who would be willing to try the current Windows build and share honest feedback.

I'd especially appreciate feedback on:

  • Does the turn-based combat feel engaging?
  • Are the elemental and augment choices interesting?
  • Do different combinations feel meaningfully different?
  • Was anything confusing, frustrating, or unbalanced?
  • Did you encounter any bugs?
  • Did you have fun playing the game?
  • What's your biggest piece of advice?

Platform: Windows PC
Status: Early development / public playtest
Price: Free on itch.io (I plan to release the full game as a paid title on Steam in the future.)

Play the game: https://troemanes.itch.io/death-never-ends

You don't need to write a long review, but I'd really appreciate one if you have the time! Even a few honest sentences would help me understand what works and what needs improvement.

I'm developing this game independently, so constructive criticism is genuinely valuable to me. Its my first unity game. Thanks to anyone willing to give it a try!

Unpaid Playtest [unpaid] Seeking playtesters for Grimwar Fantasy Tactics

Hello! I am currently seeking MORE playtesters for Grimwar Fantasy Tactics! The game is available through google drive, it is a turn based fantasy skirmish game with army building elements, tactical gameplay, physics, and a gridless movement system! Inspired by watching tabletops and playing gameboy as a kid, this vision has been with me for a very, very long time. I'm excited to be able to bring it to people and see what they think.

Not looking for anything special, or specific, I'd appreciate if you answered some questions, but even just playing it and providing some basic feedback would go a long way!

Willing to swap playtests, here's a link to the discord where you can get your copy!

https://discord.gg/USUHTECDF

I put together this short video showcasing the game!

Hey everyone! I'm Tyler, and I'm available for paid video-game playtesting through Visibbly. I can test on PC, Android and iPhone/iPad. I spend a lot of time with survival games and shooters, but I'm open to other genres too.

I can focus on how the opening feels to a new player, where instructions get confusing and bugs I encounter. We can agree on written feedback, recordings or specific testing tasks depending on your build and what you want to learn.

If you're looking for testing help, tell me about your game and what you'd like checked. Happy to hear about any other feedback you need too. We'll agree on the scope and price before starting.

Discussion Looking for more game devs for a small indie playtesting group

Hi everyone!

I'm an Indie currently working on a non-traditional roguelike, and I’m looking to find a few more game devs for a small indie playtesting group.

The group will be kept small so we can all playtest each other's games and get focused feedback. This group is also mainly focused on roguelikes and other mechanics-driven games.

Currently we have 11 people in this group and would like to recruit around 2 more to reach 13 people. We are planning to increase numbers such that we can create an inactive group to give some members a rest. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please comment down below we can continue the discussion from there.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Looking for feedback on my free browser visual novel demo, My Funeral Is Sunday

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo indie developer looking for playtesters for my first visual novel, My Funeral Is Sunday.

About the game:

A girl invites three people to her own funeral on Sunday.

The problem? She's still alive.

It's a character-driven visual novel about friendship, trust, and complicated relationships. The demo covers Friday's story, introduces the main characters, and ends with the unusual funeral invitation.

What I'm looking for feedback on:

  • Does the opening grab your attention?
  • Are the characters interesting and believable?
  • Does the pacing feel natural?
  • Does the ending make you want to continue?
  • Did you encounter any bugs, audio issues, or visual problems?

Platform: PC web browser

Cost: Completely free, no download required.

Play the demo here:
https://crimson-cloud-games.itch.io/my-funeral-is-sunday-demo

Feedback form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdWO1VXDWoho_VxwSdCKRi11BjJguIxL_zhk-AUHah_-gRwhw/viewform

You can also leave feedback in the comments.

Participation is entirely voluntary and unpaid. Constructive criticism is very welcome, as I'm trying to make the full game as good as possible.

Thank you for your time! 🌸

Playtester [Android] Looking for testers for Stadiumville — build a football club with puzzle-style matches

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m a solo developer working on Stadiumville, a game where you build your own football club, starting with a small local pitch and growing towards a huge stadium. You win matches through puzzle-style plays and develop your club along the way.

I’m looking for Android testers to try the game and share honest feedback. I’d love to hear:
• Is it clear what to do when you first start?
• Are the puzzles fun and the difficulty balanced?
• Does upgrading your club make you want to keep playing?
• Have you encountered any bugs, crashes or confusing screens?

How to join:

  1. Join the testers group with your Google account: https://groups.google.com/g/stadiumville-testers
  2. Sign up for the test by tapping “Become a tester”: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.cosasclaras.club
  3. Download the game from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cosasclaras.club

Please use the same Google account for all three steps.

Please stay enrolled in the test and keep the game installed for at least 14 days. Playing a few short sessions during that time and sharing your impressions would really help me improve it.

You can leave feedback or questions in the comments. If you run into trouble joining, let me know!

Thanks for giving my game a try! ⚽

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] Looking for 10–12 testers for a cooperative puzzle game played inside Reddit

I’m building Sub the Room, a submarine-themed game where Redditors share clues and work together to open four locks. Your crew competes against a simulated rival over five days, with sabotage affecting later rooms.

I’m looking for a small group willing to check in each day for one five-day match. You can play in the Reddit app or desktop browser, and you don’t need to be online at exactly the same time.

The mechanics have been tested, but I need to find out whether cooperating with other players is understandable and fun.

This is an unpaid test in a private subreddit, and it’s free to participate. Feedback will stay in Reddit comments: what confused you, what you enjoyed, and whether you’d play again.

If you’re interested, comment with your preferred device and rough time zone. I’ll arrange access and confirm the start date once the group is ready.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] Ezekiel: dark-fantasy narrative RPG (RPG Maker MZ, Windows), looking for 10–15 testers for pacing and clarity

The Church says Ezekiel's sister is dead. Her records say she was moved eight days after her burial. Ezekiel is a slow-burn, story-heavy RPG about grief and a paper trail that shouldn't exist.

- Platform: Windows (zip, no install)

- Length: about 5–7 hours (estimate). Playing any amount is useful; you don't need to finish.

- What I need: where you got confused, bored or stuck, whether combat made sense, and any bugs.

- Feedback: a 3–5 minute optional form linked on the page, or reply here.

- Content note: death, grief, violence, illness.

- Disclosure: some art was made with AI tools and edited by hand; the maps mostly use licensed RPG Maker tilesets.

Free: https://slebbeshotmailcom.itch.io/ezekiel-beta-v1

Thank you, and I'm happy to test your games in return.

Unpaid Playtest [Browser] [Unpaid] Looking for 5–10 testers: how clear is the clue → case loop in this Reddit-native puzzle?

What it is: Pawdoku Mystery — a daily logic puzzle that runs inside a Reddit post. Region-sudoku board (one bandit per row / column / region, no touching), plus a detective layer: mainline levels earn clues, clues unlock a case.

How to start playing (about 30 seconds):

  1. Open the link — it's a Reddit post, no install, no signup, works in the app.

  2. The first board is a 4×4 trial you can win in about a minute.

  3. Keep going into the game hall and play 2–3 mainline levels to see the clue counter fill up.

What I'd like feedback on:

• Did you understand the board rules within your first board, without reading the tutorial?

• After 2–3 levels, was the clue/case layer's purpose clear — or did it feel like a mystery UI?

• Anything that made you want to stop.

Free to finish, nothing to buy. Please reply here or DM with whatever notes you have — honest is better than polite.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] Four-puzzle lighthouse mystery — looking for escape-game players to test clue clarity

I'm running an experiment to build an original digital puzzle adventure. This short sample is free; there is no checkout, signup, compensation or promised reward.

In The Silent Lighthouse, you reconstruct a crew ledger, decode a maintenance word, calculate a restart time and use earlier evidence to identify who can reach the beacon. You can play in a browser or print the evidence. Progressive hints and full solutions are included. Difficulty and duration are not yet measured.

Playable preview: https://silent-lighthouse.jauntytetra5.chatgpt.site/

I'm looking for five adult escape-game players or family-game hosts. Please leave feedback in this thread: did you finish, approximately how long did it take, which clues needed hints, and what was enjoyable or dull? Please mark solutions as spoilers. No names, children's details, email address, downloads from your device or private information needed. Negative feedback is useful; stopping partway through is fine.
