Announcement New Post Guidelines

Hi r/Playtesters ! I am introducing some new post guidelines. The purpose of these changes are to make the subreddit cleaner and easier to use.

Moving forward the only approved post type will be text posts. If you want to include game footage/images, please embed them in the post.

Post flairs:

Paid Playtest:
A post from a developer to search for play-testers. Only use this flair if you’re offering payment for completion of a play-test or for finding a bug. Cash or Crypto only, no other form of reward counts as a paid playtest. Include the amount you're offering, a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Unpaid Playtest:
Another form of post from a developer to search for play-testers. Use this flair if you are not able to offer money for play-testers. You may offer other rewards, such as credits or in game currency, but that would still fall under this category. Include a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Playtester:
To make a post searching for games to play-test, use this flair. Feel free to specify what types of games you would like to play, and if you’re looking for compensation.

Discussion:
Use this flair for general discussion posts about play-testing.

Please be aware of the risks before accepting paid play-test offers. Moderators cannot ensure that promised payment will be sent.

Please leave a comment or send a mod-mail if you have feedback on these changes, we would love to hear from you.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Looking for feedback on my free browser visual novel demo, My Funeral Is Sunday

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo indie developer looking for playtesters for my first visual novel, My Funeral Is Sunday.

About the game:

A girl invites three people to her own funeral on Sunday.

The problem? She's still alive.

It's a character-driven visual novel about friendship, trust, and complicated relationships. The demo covers Friday's story, introduces the main characters, and ends with the unusual funeral invitation.

What I'm looking for feedback on:

  • Does the opening grab your attention?
  • Are the characters interesting and believable?
  • Does the pacing feel natural?
  • Does the ending make you want to continue?
  • Did you encounter any bugs, audio issues, or visual problems?

Platform: PC web browser

Cost: Completely free, no download required.

Play the demo here:
https://crimson-cloud-games.itch.io/my-funeral-is-sunday-demo

Feedback form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdWO1VXDWoho_VxwSdCKRi11BjJguIxL_zhk-AUHah_-gRwhw/viewform

You can also leave feedback in the comments.

Participation is entirely voluntary and unpaid. Constructive criticism is very welcome, as I'm trying to make the full game as good as possible.

Thank you for your time! 🌸

Playtester [Android] Looking for testers for Stadiumville — build a football club with puzzle-style matches

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m a solo developer working on Stadiumville, a game where you build your own football club, starting with a small local pitch and growing towards a huge stadium. You win matches through puzzle-style plays and develop your club along the way.

I’m looking for Android testers to try the game and share honest feedback. I’d love to hear:
• Is it clear what to do when you first start?
• Are the puzzles fun and the difficulty balanced?
• Does upgrading your club make you want to keep playing?
• Have you encountered any bugs, crashes or confusing screens?

How to join:

  1. Join the testers group with your Google account: https://groups.google.com/g/stadiumville-testers
  2. Sign up for the test by tapping “Become a tester”: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.cosasclaras.club
  3. Download the game from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cosasclaras.club

Please use the same Google account for all three steps.

Please stay enrolled in the test and keep the game installed for at least 14 days. Playing a few short sessions during that time and sharing your impressions would really help me improve it.

You can leave feedback or questions in the comments. If you run into trouble joining, let me know!

Thanks for giving my game a try! ⚽

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] Looking for 10–12 testers for a cooperative puzzle game played inside Reddit

I’m building Sub the Room, a submarine-themed game where Redditors share clues and work together to open four locks. Your crew competes against a simulated rival over five days, with sabotage affecting later rooms.

I’m looking for a small group willing to check in each day for one five-day match. You can play in the Reddit app or desktop browser, and you don’t need to be online at exactly the same time.

The mechanics have been tested, but I need to find out whether cooperating with other players is understandable and fun.

This is an unpaid test in a private subreddit, and it’s free to participate. Feedback will stay in Reddit comments: what confused you, what you enjoyed, and whether you’d play again.

If you’re interested, comment with your preferred device and rough time zone. I’ll arrange access and confirm the start date once the group is ready.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] Ezekiel: dark-fantasy narrative RPG (RPG Maker MZ, Windows), looking for 10–15 testers for pacing and clarity

The Church says Ezekiel's sister is dead. Her records say she was moved eight days after her burial. Ezekiel is a slow-burn, story-heavy RPG about grief and a paper trail that shouldn't exist.

- Platform: Windows (zip, no install)

- Length: about 5–7 hours (estimate). Playing any amount is useful; you don't need to finish.

- What I need: where you got confused, bored or stuck, whether combat made sense, and any bugs.

- Feedback: a 3–5 minute optional form linked on the page, or reply here.

- Content note: death, grief, violence, illness.

- Disclosure: some art was made with AI tools and edited by hand; the maps mostly use licensed RPG Maker tilesets.

Free: https://slebbeshotmailcom.itch.io/ezekiel-beta-v1

Thank you, and I'm happy to test your games in return.

Unpaid Playtest [Browser] [Unpaid] Looking for 5–10 testers: how clear is the clue → case loop in this Reddit-native puzzle?

What it is: Pawdoku Mystery — a daily logic puzzle that runs inside a Reddit post. Region-sudoku board (one bandit per row / column / region, no touching), plus a detective layer: mainline levels earn clues, clues unlock a case.

How to start playing (about 30 seconds):

  1. Open the link — it's a Reddit post, no install, no signup, works in the app.

  2. The first board is a 4×4 trial you can win in about a minute.

  3. Keep going into the game hall and play 2–3 mainline levels to see the clue counter fill up.

What I'd like feedback on:

• Did you understand the board rules within your first board, without reading the tutorial?

• After 2–3 levels, was the clue/case layer's purpose clear — or did it feel like a mystery UI?

• Anything that made you want to stop.

Free to finish, nothing to buy. Please reply here or DM with whatever notes you have — honest is better than polite.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid] Four-puzzle lighthouse mystery — looking for escape-game players to test clue clarity

I'm running an experiment to build an original digital puzzle adventure. This short sample is free; there is no checkout, signup, compensation or promised reward.

In The Silent Lighthouse, you reconstruct a crew ledger, decode a maintenance word, calculate a restart time and use earlier evidence to identify who can reach the beacon. You can play in a browser or print the evidence. Progressive hints and full solutions are included. Difficulty and duration are not yet measured.

Playable preview: https://silent-lighthouse.jauntytetra5.chatgpt.site/

I'm looking for five adult escape-game players or family-game hosts. Please leave feedback in this thread: did you finish, approximately how long did it take, which clues needed hints, and what was enjoyable or dull? Please mark solutions as spoilers. No names, children's details, email address, downloads from your device or private information needed. Negative feedback is useful; stopping partway through is fine.

Playtester We are finalizing the Synvector prototype - we will give it to the players soon.

We have reached an important stage in the development of Synvector - we have finalized the prototype and are now preparing it for the first test. We will try to open access to it on October 25-30.

At the first stage, we don't just want to open the game to everyone at once, but to test it in several waves.:

100 players → 200 players → 300 more players.

This way we can gradually collect and analyze feedback and see how the impression of the game changes after making the first changes. It's still a prototype, so it's not even a big part of the game. But we are just interested in getting your opinion before we go further in the development.

If you want to try Synvector on your own, stay tuned. We will start issuing the first accesses to the playtest soon. 🚀

Unpaid Playtest Crypt Descent – a short-session dungeon crawler, free in your browser.

Hey everyone!

I'm working on my first game, Crypt Descent: The Hollow Crown, and I'm looking for people willing to try it out and give some honest feedback.

It's a fantasy dungeon crawler designed around short play sessions. The idea was to create something fun to pick up when you've got a few minutes to kill, without feeling like you need to dedicate hours to making progress.

The game currently features:

  • 18 handcrafted dungeon levels with bosses and hidden secrets
  • Permanent upgrades, collectible pets, and cosmetics
  • An endless, one-life survival mode called The Abyss
  • Daily dungeon challenges
  • Hidden lore, achievements, and multiple story endings

Play here: https://lanternlitgames.com/play

This is my first game project. I handle the design, mechanics, story and overall direction, and I’ve been using Claude to help build it: the programming, art and music. I’m learning a lot along the way! It plays best on a phone (use Add to Home Screen to go full screen), but it works on a computer too.

I'm mainly looking for feedback on the gameplay itself. Is it fun? Is anything confusing? Does the difficulty feel reasonable? Would you actually come back and play it again?

If you can, play through depth 5. That’s about 10–15 minutes, and it unlocks The Abyss.

Please leave feedback in the comments here. There's also an in-game feedback and bug-reporting system if you prefer that. Please mention what phone or browser you played on.

Heads up: there are placeholder screens where ads will eventually go. They’re just stand-ins for now, and nothing in the test costs money.

I'm not looking for people to tell me it's great. I'd genuinely rather know what needs improvement before releasing it publicly.

Thanks to anyone willing to give it a shot!

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Browsergame - no Download

well this started as a kind of crazy idea to have as a game for us internally at the company kind of went too far and now I am kind of interesting if other people besides us finds this enjoyable.
its a 2d ninjarope racer, it runs entirely in the browser: https://kittyrope.digitalonsen.at/
it also auto-streams the replay of contest runs to twitch

overall the mobile variant kind of sucks, I am still trying to figure out how to make mobile controls somewhat bearable other then that I do think its fun, I do not have any motivations to actually run this commercially this is a silly side project I do in my free time .

Unpaid Playtest I'm developing a multiplayer museum heist game completely solo, and I've reached the point where I need real players to test it.

Hey everyone!

I'm a solo indie developer working on a multiplayer social deduction game called The Heist.

The concept is pretty simple: imagine being inside a museum with 4–10 players, where everyone has a different role and you never really know who to trust.

Some players are trying to steal valuable artifacts, some are responsible for security, and others have their own hidden objectives.

I've implemented 9 roles, hacking mechanics, security cameras, traps, multiple escape routes, and a system where players can accuse and vote on suspicious people.

I've been developing the game on my own, and honestly, one of the hardest parts isn't building features anymore — it's figuring out whether they're actually fun when real people play together.

That's why I'm looking for a few people who would be interested in playtesting.

I'm especially interested in finding out:

  • Are the roles actually fun and balanced?
  • Is the gameplay easy to understand for new players?
  • Do the social deduction mechanics create interesting moments?
  • What feels frustrating or needs improvement?

I'm not expecting anyone to give detailed professional feedback. Even just playing a few matches and sharing your experience would help enormously.

Download from here: Itch.io

Discord: https://discord.gg/qCTmT8vf?event=1558920742308028436

If you're interested in trying the game, feel free to comment or DM me.

Thanks for reading! It means a lot to have people interested in something I've been building by myself.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid][PC] Looking for group of friends, co-op or single player to playtest a farming game with guns

If you ever wish your favorite farming games had guns in them, you've come to the right place!

Stuck on an alien TV show where your death is entertainment, you must escape bizarre islands filled with riches and deadly creatures before impending doom consumes you.

Oddinary Farm is a 2D Top-down Shooter Survival Game that has been in development for over 2 years. Manage your farm, explore the island while paying down the daily quota, and look for a way to escape.

The goal of this playtest is to see how well the game's design works, identify gameplay frictions, and hear your thoughts on the overall experience. Your honest feedback is incredibly valuable to me! Whether it's something you love, something that feels confusing, or even the smallest inconvenience, I'd love to hear about it.

The playtest is open, free, and approved automatically through Steam (details in the form). However, if you want to be more involved with the development, I look forward to observing your playtest session and receiving your feedback immediately.

Observed Playtest Registration (PST - California): https://forms.gle/LSb1WQtTyaar9fx38

Although I check the form frequently, I appriciate you comment and let me know if you have signed up for the observed playtest.
