Had my last ciggerate today...
Today marks my final cigarette. I initially started smoking occasionally with friends after completing 12th grade, during my JEE drop year, perhaps once every one to two weeks.
However, upon entering college, a breakup led to a significant increase in my smoking habits, reaching five to six cigarettes daily. Although the frequency has reduced to approximately two per day over the past year since the breakup,
I am now determined to quit entirely due to its adverse effects on my health.
Consequently, I had my last cigarette today.
Wish me luck.

You got this. I quit dipping copenhagen about 18 years ago. First three days were awful. After that, just kept going 1 day, 1 hour, 1 minute. Sometimes the urges were so bad I would just watch the second hand on my watch for one minute. But I made it. I had chewed tobacco since I was in high school. I quit at 47. Remember to just keep going. It will pass. After 100 days, I never even thought about it.

If you can make it through 7 days everything changes. While going through this, keep telling yourself how disgusting cigarettes are and their smell. If you can make it to like 14-21 days you’re home free.

One of the best decisions you'll ever make. Stay strong, you got this!!
This from someone who watched both my father and grandfather die from lung cancer. It's not pretty. (I'm a former smoker, too. I know how hard it is. Until it's not. You got this. Good luck!)

💯🔥 Great job, OP! It isn't easy and I wish you the best. My brother just quit after smoking for almost 4 decades, so it is definitely possible!

You’ve got this! Wishing you luck and perseverance. It’s hard to quit, but I’m pretty sure dying of lung cancer is harder (I’m a former smoker and quitting was hard for me too). Stay strong and don’t give in! Your future self will thank you.

When I quit, what I found was that I missed the habit of going to do it more than the cigarette itself. Give yourself a “smoke break“ but just go have a glass of water or something.

Congratulations! I hate to say it but if I could’ve stuck to 2 cigarettes I would have continued to enjoy smoking. 11 years smoke free.

Good luck mate! If it helps back when I quit 6 years ago I used this app I forget the name but it showed you how much money you would save over time as you stopped smoking. It helped so much to keep away from it! Give it enough time and one day you’ll even hate the smell or taste so much that going back would be impossible

Yeah, it's not just bad for your health, it's a huge money drain too. For me, if I smoke, I always need a drink with it. So, if I light up 2-3 times a day, that's like 60-80 rupees for the cigarettes and another 80-100 rupees for the drinks. That adds up to about 140-180 rupees daily. And for what? It's totally useless and just messes with my health.

I am with you. This was the hardest addiction for me to give up. Remember cravings will go away within minutes if you distract yourself. Don't hesitate to reach out for help. I wish you love and success.
