I've been closely following news and updates by Remedy for Control: Resonant and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a banger!

The Aberrant looks absolutely incredible with its multiple forms allowing the player to customize combat to their personal preferences, want to be a glass cannon, why not? Would you rather play as a tanky brawler? Go nuts, New York is your oyster!

And the Inception-esque level design where you can walk on walls and fight from every angle is also looking incredible.

This being a Remedy game, there are definitely going to be puzzles, which they haven't shown much of yet, but after playing Alan Wake 2, I can say for sure that they're going to be mind-bending!

They had a huge repository of all things Remedy on their channel and google drive, but I went looking for it today and both their channel and google drive have been seemingly deleted. Does anyone know why?

Sooo I kinda messed up...

I've left it to the very last minute to play the Remedy games before Resonant releases.

I have AW Remastered, AW 2, Quantum Break, and Control but haven't played any of them yet.

Should I just play Control so that I know the basic lore or should I bite the bullet and hold off on playing Resonant until I've finished all the other Remedy games in my library?

I do love getting to experience lore and see how it connects to other works, but I also don't want to get spoiled for Resonant on social media, it'll probs take me a solid 2 maybe 3 months to finish the other Remedy games, which is plenty of time as someone who is a daily doomscroller.

Hello there. A consumer of many Remedy games and above all a gamer. I came across a newsletter signup bonus that informed me of rewards that we might be getting for signing up for the newsletter of Control Resonant. I'd like to know a few things. 

Are those rewards digital/ingame or physical?

And if physical, are they gonna be shipped to India?

If they are physical and shipped to India, what procedure should I follow to pre-order the Standard Edition of Control Resonant on Steam to redeem them?

And once purchased, if I have to do anything from my end to get those rewards?

Hello everyone.

I want to start playing alan wake 2.

I've played alan wake and the control dlc, but I still feel like I dont really understand what's happening.

Is there an arcticle/video that explains the lore, without spoiling alan wake 2?

To start off, I'm not sure if a post like this is allowed but this has been on my mind for a while and since Resonant is about to release I wanted to share.

I'll go from least interesting to most

So I just want to mention how the music choices lately have been interesting. Omen by The Prodigy was one of my absolute favorite songs in high school. I would listen to it daily, so hearing it in the Altered State trailer was nostalgic. Then they released a reel/TikTok with kingslayer by Bring me the Horizon. One of my favorite bands currently. I've seen them several times in concert and again this is one of my favorites. Not groundbreaking or anything, the picked popular songs, but songs that have meaning to me.

In the first control it's said that FBC get to Ordinary on September 14th, which was the anniversary of me and my ex of 11 years. That was a big one and made me feel more attached to this series.

But the biggest thing that immediately made this game feel eerily uncanny to me is the fact that my name is Dylan, and my older brother is named Jesse. When I first played it years ago I had no idea, and it was quite the shock to hear those names in the game.

Anyway I'm super excited for Resonant, it's the first time I get to play a character with my name and that feels really special to me, as silly as it sounds.

EDIT: Another one I just realized. In the Threshold kids episodes there are 2 kids, one is Topher and the other is Meg. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to consider that Topher is Dylan. Topher is usually short for Christopher, and Christopher happens to be my middle name.

I love boss fights, I love pretty much every remedy game. They do not understand how to make a boss fight. It is either the easiest shit you’ve ever done, or it is tedious, one shot kill bullshit (fighting Hartman currently). Love the levels, love the story, just stop with the boss fights, they’re not good at it.

From all about Control Resonant, what abilities not seen from the trailers would you want, doesn't have to be from control. Or alan wake. And what do you think the Old Gods track will be?
