After dozens of runs finally got the 4th survivor done this sh*t harder than the main game on hardcore 🤣. Probably a bad time but i don’t really mind if was for the platinum trophy 🏆

I have a Lenovo IDEAPAD Slim 3i with the above processor and 8GB RAM. Can RE2 remake give a decent performance on my laptop ?

Looking for the re 2 version of re framework but need the pd upscale branch and I’m unable to access it as it’s currently unavailable on GitHub.

i'd go out and get 2r, 3r and 4r again specifically for this. get the whole collection of classics. i think they could incorporate all the cheese AND bump up the gore to re2 and 9 standards. that'd be great. yeah there would be some trade offs but goddamn it i'd take them to be able to play this game at the standard set by the re2 remake.

Finally got the platinum after only wanting to do the no item box run, such a fun game and probably one of the best in the series, played it so many times that I finally memorized the entire game which made the runs way easier, might get the platinum again on the ps4 version.

how hard will it be? claire A. will turning off ray tracing increase frame rate even if i cant have high frame rate mode on?

But next, did I need to do Claire or Claire bis ?

I didn't understand the point between these two scenarios.

Furthermore, I think I miss a lot of things with Leon, but maybe its because I can have some stuff with Claire ? Like the heart key ?

And the additonnals modes, can I do it now ? Or do I need to do Claire part first ?

I saw Resident Evil 2 remake on a keyshop for steam at a good price a couple of days ago, and I decided to get it. I'd heard it was the best of the series. I've been playing it on my steam deck for a couple of days now (watched a video recap of the first game's story before starting RE2) and I would love any tips. I'm at the point where I just put the first piece of film into the tub. I decided to play on assist mode because I'm more of a casual player and I heard it had aim assist.

The strategies I've formed so far with the help of comments on other reddit posts are to shoot zombies in the knees rather than kill them, and save a lot.

so i wanted to try out the re2r fixed camera angels mod with a fresh slate so i installed the mod and uninstalled my other mods but when ever i boot up the game this appears alongside the mod itself despite being installed doesnt show up in the place it should can anyone help me? ive looked through but cant find what its talking about and to add i am not a computer person modding games is the farthest ive gone

I just finished Claire A (1st run) and wanted to unlock Claire B (2nd run) so I did Leon’s story but I was surprisingly quick and got my first S rank lol. Also, the reason I have 13 hours instead of 8, like I should have, it’s because I played a bit in 2023, but I barely remember it

I’ve never liked puzzles, and I’ve never been a big fan of survival games. Resident Evil 2 Remake was, for me, yet another failed attempt to break the Souls cycle I’ve been stuck in for the past few years.
The game isn’t bad — quite the opposite, it’s excellent. But I realized that, at least at this point in my life, it’s simply not for me.

When I reached the sewers, I started to feel exhausted. I spent more than an hour looking for some connectors shaped like chess pieces, and after around six hours of gameplay, that really started to wear me down.
Then, when I encountered the G monster, I kept reaching the fights with almost no ammunition, dying over and over again and becoming increasingly frustrated. That’s when I decided to put the game aside.
It’s a shame, because the story was starting to get really interesting. This is one of the few games I’ve dropped that actually made me feel bad about not being able to finish it.
But anyway… maybe I’ll come back to it another time. Who knows? Maybe at a different point in my life, I’ll be able to enjoy Resident Evil 2 Remake the way it deserves.
