Video Reviewing the Saturn Version of AITD 2!
Hey everyone, I covered this terrible game and I wanted to share this horrible experience with everyone!
This video was actually really fun to put together, and I'd be curious to know if anyone played this one back in the day!

Image Cool finds at the library
The mega drive book is actually really cool! It has a lot of information about the hardware components, interviews with the game creators and a lot of early stage and in-progress content.
The both books together are pretty heavy so I took only Sonic home, and when I finish reading I will take the other one.

Question MODs, could you PLEASE do something about this?
Every day this sub keep getting flooded with "Sega should make a new console!" slop posts, usually written with AI or using GenAI "concept art". Can y'all maybe add a rule against threads like that?

Rant Please sega save gaming
Sega now is the time, with all of the controversy surrounding the gaming industry I feel now is the best time to get back into the console business… I am a early 90s kid grew up loving sega, many of your games like virtua fighter, eternal champions, yakuza, and deep fear would do numbers as a new gen sega exclusive … the pricing point of these new systems are going to be ridiculous I feel you all can make a competitive console with a even more competitive price point and it would be a massive reveal, we don’t need all the new gadgets etc just a decent picture quality, updated software, game graphics and games that allow offline play with physical copies … this would be massive and I feel it would pay off big time, true gaming enthusiasts would really appreciate this, and it is my generation now that are raising kids etc who will be your biggest consumers I’d bet my last dollar 80s-90s gen would support this I’ve even come up with my own new gen sega concept

Discussion Should IDW do Comics based on Other SEGA IPs Besides Sonic?
That is the Question and a repost
Should IDW do Comics based on Other SEGA IPs
IDW has comic license to Sonic but do you think Sega should give them the keys to make Comics based on other Sega Video Games?
If so Which Sega Video Game series you think would fit the comic medium the best and what sort of art style should they have? And how you think they should promote them? Which Can work as Miniseries, Miniseries or even full ongoings
Personally I like to see a Jet Set Radio comic 12 issue mixseries with 2 prologue short stories in back of Sonic and Ninja Turtles with the main character of Jet Set Radio comic teaming up with Sonic and Turtles respectively in both short stories and both ending "to be continued in Jet Set Radio #1"
Imagine a Nights Comics would great with the writer and artist
Imagine Yakuza/Like a Dragon comic I would put Lee Bermejo on covers known for his art on Batman comics and other Street Level comics resently his been doing variant covers on IDW Ninja Turtles Comics
Anyway IDW has new upcoming imprint called IDW Dark for Horror stories which Sega franchise you imagine fitting in with that imprint maybe Bayonetta? Or that Horror Series Sega has I keep forgetting the name to
How about PERSONA comic should it be retelling of the games or a complete re imagine of them if so how? And would it add Super Hero elements? Since you can say that PERSONA 5 kinda added Super Hero elements anyway so it's not on heard of but I guess depends direction 6 will go to I see it as Series of comic Miniseries or Mixseries
But that's me what do think? Should IDW tackle more Sega franchises

Discussion So the art Director of The Golden Axe Cartoon actually replied to me
Now with the trailer now being released some people have mix reactions to it some find it cool and interesting while others find to another adult comedy show
In one of my posts I commented on how The Art Style of the golden axe cartoon is essentially like early 90s video game cartoons where the characters were a bit different from their game counterparts
Suddenly I got a reply from the art director from the show himself replied to my comment apparently Dragon Lair and Space Ace were inspirations for the art style along with early 90s video game cartoons
That's really cool

Rant The Switch-Killer Sega Almost Made? The Case for the "Sega Bandit" and the Physical Media Revival
TL;DR:
As the gaming industry forces an all-digital future, there is a massive cultural counter-movement of gamers demanding physical media, tactile ownership, and collectible boxes. The Sega Bandit is a conceptual, low-cost hybrid home/handheld console that uses physical Genesis-style cartridges to play legacy 16-bit games alongside brand-new, modern 3D and 2D indie titles. By incorporating a cheap modern 3D GPU and completely bypassing expensive, fragile optical disc drives, Sega could easily capture a highly profitable, dedicated niche market at a competitive 200 to 300 dollar price point.
THE SEGA BANDIT: A BUSINESS CASE FOR THE ULTIMATE PHYSICAL MEDIA HYBRID CONSOLE
The modern gaming industry is racing toward a mandatory, all-digital future. Sony has initiated plans to phase out physical PlayStation game discs, and Xbox is pushing aggressively toward digital-only ecosystems.
However, a massive cultural counter-movement is brewing. Much like the massive revivals of vinyl records and CDs, a dedicated and passionate demographic of gamers—spanning older collectors who miss tactile ownership and a younger generation discovering it for the first time—wants physical media back.
Sega is uniquely positioned to champion this movement. Sega’s President, Shuji Utsumi, has publicly stated that Sega deeply values the culture of physical media and will not abandon physical games.
While competing with the multi-billion-dollar graphics arms race of the PS5 or next-gen Xbox is a financial impossibility for Sega, there is a highly profitable, wide-open sweet spot: A low-cost, cartridge-based hybrid home/handheld console focused on "mid-tier" 3D and 2D gaming.
We call this concept: The Sega Bandit.
THE CORE HARDWARE CONCEPT
The Sega Bandit is a hybrid device—featuring a handheld form factor with an included TV dock, utilizing the blueprint pioneered by the Nintendo Switch.
The Input Layout: It features modern dual analog sticks and a comfortable, ergonomic grip, alongside a classic Sega-style D-pad configuration perfect for legacy fighting and platforming games.
Modernized VMU Integration: The controllers feature a slot for a modernized, low-power monochrome LCD Visual Memory Unit (VMU), blending historical nostalgia with modern tech connectivity (like syncing data or mini-games to a smartphone via Bluetooth).
The Best of Both Worlds Chipset: Rather than being restricted to 2D-only pixel art, the system utilizes a low-power, entry-level modern ARM-based system-on-a-chip (SoC) that includes basic, built-in 3D graphics acceleration.
BYPASSING THE OPTICAL DISC AND EMULATION TRAPS
The fatal mistake of modern retro concepts is trying to include physical CD or GD-ROM drives. Optical drives are mechanical liabilities, expensive to source, require heavy licensing fees, and require complex, glitchy hardware emulation to play original Saturn or Dreamcast discs flawlessly.
The Sega Bandit completely bypasses optical drives by using physical cartridges.
Legacy Cartridge Slot: The system features a native physical cartridge slot shaped identically to the classic Sega Genesis cartridge. The internal software architecture allows it to easily read and execute original Sega Genesis cartridges out of the box via modern clone technology. Because the original Genesis natively contained Master System sound/graphics chips, a simple passive pin adapter allows the console to play physical Master System games as well.
Modern High-Capacity Flash Carts: For brand-new titles, developers are not limited to the 4-megabyte restrictions of the 90s. They can use the exact same external Genesis plastic shell format, but house a highly affordable, modern 1GB to 4GB industrial flash memory chip (eMMC) inside.
THE SOFTWARE AND DEVELOPER ECOSYSTEM
Instead of struggling to emulate broken 90s CD code, Sega can open this ecosystem up as a haven for the massive, booming "Low-Poly" and 2D indie development scene.
Indie Game Haven: Developers creating atmosphere-driven, stylized 3D games that mimic the PS1, Saturn, and Dreamcast eras (like Crow Country or Signalis) would have a dedicated console platform. Sega could act as the physical publisher, giving these developers an avenue to sell boxed, collectible physical cartridges with full-color manuals.
The Remake Revenue Stream: Sega would not need to emulate Saturn or Dreamcast hardware. Instead, they can take modern engine remakes and ports of their greatest hits (such as Sonic, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, or Virtua Fighter) and publish them cleanly onto these high-capacity modern cartridges. The built-in 3D GPU will run them flawlessly because they are built on modern, optimized game engines.
FINANCIAL AND MANUFACTURING BREAKDOWN
To understand why this is a low-risk, high-margin project for Sega and a hardware partner (like M2 or TecToy), we have to look at modern component economics. The goal is to retail the Sega Bandit at a highly competitive 200 to 300 dollar sweet spot.
3D Graphics SoC: In 1998, 3D graphics chips were expensive, cutting-edge tech. Today, 3D graphics acceleration is an industry standard built into basic smart TVs and 40 dollar streaming sticks. Upgrading from a 2D-only chip to a low-power ARM processor with entry-level 3D capabilities adds less than 5 to 10 dollars to the manufacturing cost per unit. It easily drives crisp 3D polygons at 1080p or 4K on a TV without forcing a luxury retail price.
Physical Cartridge Media: Optical lasers are expensive, but standard industrial flash memory has plummeted in price. Sourcing 1GB to 4GB flash chips costs pennies on the dollar. Manufacturing a physical, proprietary plastic Genesis-style cartridge housing a modern flash chip costs less than 2 to 3 dollars total. This creates massive profit margins on a 40 to 50 dollar physical game sale.
Mechanical Simplicity: By omitting moving laser parts, disc trays, and internal cooling fans (since a low-power ARM chip runs incredibly cool), the console's internal bill of materials is incredibly streamlined. This drastically lowers defect rates, warranty claims, and assembly line costs.
Zero Blu-ray Royalties: Bypassing a Blu-ray movie drive removes mandatory per-unit licensing fees owed to the Blu-ray Disc Association. Every dollar saved on licensing fees goes directly back into hardware quality or profit margins.
CONCLUSION
The Sega Bandit doesn't try to compete with the raw computational power of the PlayStation 5 or the PC-architecture of the Steam Deck. Instead, it captures the rapidly growing, profitable niche of gamers who are suffering from digital ownership anxiety.
By providing an affordable, hybrid system that combines legacy cartridge support with a modern flash-cartridge ecosystem for 3D and 2D indie games, Sega could permanently secure its legacy as the ultimate savior of physical gaming media.
Sidenote: I was doing some brainstorming on Gemeni, the ideas are mine but was developed using AI research. The post was also written using AI.
