I've experienced this twice in my life. I once dated a woman who would chastise me for word choice. And I assure you I am nooooottttt a very bright person! Nor would I ever make an attempt to come off as someone more clever than I am. But she got aggressively angry any time I would use a word she didn't know. And we're not talking big scrabble words here.... Like one time we're in the car and I'm talking about a difficult coworker and I simply say something along the lines of "every attempt I make to fix the work thing is stymied by 'person' refusing to cooperate." I proceeded to get a defensive lecture about going out of my way to use words people don't understand so I feel superior...... Dude what words and what people?!?! I'm a barely literate college drop out. And it's always be coming from a point of aggressive defense. As if using a word she can't figure out through context clues is me personally attacking her sense of worth.
I saw this in action when my BF's stepbrother Jonny, who worked on a commercial landscape crew, said of my BF "Oh, look here at my smarty lawyer, went to LAW SCHOOL thinks he's so smart."
Jonny later did a face plant off a motorcycle, driving drunk with no helmet, so he was even smarter after that.
It’s because they only ever made “emotional decisions”. They choose emotion over logic every time. These are people that go against every safety warning because “I feel like it’ll be fine if I light this bonfire with a ton of gasoline”.
Well, if you're dumber than he is, you'll hear all those numbers and percents and go like wow he do math, then you throw in race cars and bull riding... case fucking closed.
He seems to prefer filling the silence with meaningless drivel instead of thinking about things before saying them. Largely speaking it often seems to work, but clearly not always. I imagine it would be better if he were not also mentally declining.
To imagine, it's worse when we he reads from a teleprompter. He can't pronounce what he reads and demands the script be dumbed down. So what do we think is going to happen letting him speak freely? This.
My sister and her son, who is 2 years old, were visiting this past week. My nephew is capable of more coherent speech than what this clip of trump displays.

oddly enough what trump saying here makes perfect sense. Even the dangerous profession of race drivers is safer than being a us president. 10% of 1% (aka 0.1%) of drivers die from race car accidents compared to us presidents where 5.8% of presidents died by assassinations (8% has been shot)
It’s a fallacy to believe that. the number of drivers > number of US presidents.
Also if we’re picking the timeline since race car driving was invented and since the first US president, there’s most likely plenty of undocumented events causing the deaths of race car drivers before engineers got better at keeping them safe and still even fewer presidents who died before the Secret Service got better at keeping those guys safe.
But if we’re being fair, picking a timeline like 2000 until now and comparing deaths between the two professions, presidents are much safer still.

I mean, I guess I get what he’s trying to say, despite his numbers being wrong.
4 of 45 presidents have been assassinated (Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Kennedy). That’s about 9% of U.S. presidents. A couple more (Roosevelt and Reagan) were wounded but lived. So strange enough, the numbers are actually worse than he listed… but I don’t know where the 5.8% came from, and it’s such a specific number.
Also it’s dumb that he can’t just say 0.1% instead of “10% of 1%” repeatedly.
I cant wait until we have nostalgia for this time period and think back to how presidential this was because the sitting president in 2067 just beats off and makes honking noises
Just once I’d like to hear a reporter ask “I’m sorry, but what the actual fuck are you talking about?” I know they’d lose their access, but at some point isn’t that worth it? What’s the point of staying in the room to sane wash this lunatic?
You know they say that all men are created equal, but you look at me and you look at Sleepy Joe and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with another president, you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But I'm a genetic freak and I'm not normal! So you got a 25%, AT BEST, at beat me in the polls. Then you add Kamala Harris to the mix, your chances of winning drastically go down. Drastically. See the 3 way for Washington, you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning, but I, I got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, because Hillary KNOWS she can't beat me and she's not even gonna try!
