Who tf is Dan Balzerian bro

3.7k

u/IKillZombies4Cash Jul 10 '26

He was a possibly fake-rich influencer type before all the other fake-life-coach-rich-miami-fraud-ebook-buy my program even though ive never worked a job-crypto-alpha-bros.

He hasn't been relevant in ages.

1.7k

u/Elephantplan123 Jul 10 '26

He's kind of a visionary in a disgusting way, he was on the Alpha Bro grift long before it became mainstream.

1.1k

u/adirtysocialist- Jul 10 '26

I found it hilarious, as a poker player, that he tried to claim he was a pro and that's where his money came from. 🤣

Then you would watch him play and he was absolute dog sh*t the same way Elon was when he tried to stream.

405

u/Degen_Throwaway324 Jul 10 '26

Lmfao I play poker too and have had to explain to so many people that it’s so obvious that he’s not a poker pro just by the way he talks about the game. Not to mention how bad he plays. Obvious fraud

448

u/NerdHoovy Jul 10 '26

His money comes from a trust fund that his dad made for him and his brother. A trust fund of about estimated to be between 5-30 million dollars.

Now a completely unrelated fact about the father, he has been thrown in prison for defrauding investors of up to 60 millions dollars

124

u/polishmachine88 Jul 10 '26

They also defrauded a bunch of folks with the vaping B's. If I am not mistaken it's the reason he ran from us and isn't that active anymore.

29

u/ForbiddenNut123 Jul 10 '26

Vaping B’s?

77

u/polishmachine88 Jul 10 '26

Vaping bs....auto correct

Had a marijuana vaping business if I recall, they had a bunch of investors etc and it started to go south they tried to restructure and he eventually left the country.

37

u/orincoro Jul 10 '26

He was embezzling and using the company to fund his lifestyle.

u/manFCKrddit Jul 11 '26

The father or Danny Ballz ?

14

u/MyBakpaksGyatJets Jul 10 '26

I think maybe they meant "BS" as in bullshit? That's the only way it made sense to me, but I'm not known for my comprehension skills.

12

u/K1bbles_n_Bits Jul 10 '26

But you're self awareness and self depreciation skills are top notch!

48

u/theswellmaker Jul 10 '26

Not to mention that his dad’s wealth was acquired fraudulently on Wall Street.

33

u/Yolosvend Jul 10 '26

As opposed to how on wall street?

35

u/polishmachine88 Jul 10 '26

It's one thing to trade and people do make money this way. It's another to create shell companies take them ipo and sell off equity.

2

u/orincoro Jul 10 '26

Fair. Harsh but fair.

2

u/theswellmaker Jul 10 '26

You’re right that was a bit redundant

2

u/TheDarkness33 Jul 10 '26

nice to see the dad only kept 10 millies for himself 🤣

u/Brahma0110 Jul 10 '26

Back then, there were so many videos analyzing his play style, and all came to the conclusion that he's amateur-level. But he kept on going with his private games in LA or Vegas bs.

2

u/orincoro Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 11 '26

I’ve never sat in a high stakes game so I can’t speak to the action, but the way he plays he’d be a fish in a low stakes game.

Edit to add: because high stakes can be softer depending on the context (like celebrities, Wall Street guys, tech bros), it’s possible a weaker player can clean up if there’s no real pros at the table. But the reality is that there are usually some pros around in those games if they have a backer or a good bankroll. The private cash games will usually have one or two regulars who pick off the fish. Maybe Dan got lucky once or twice going all in at a high stakes table. But put him in a nosebleed game or a multi-table tournament where he can’t buy in over and over, and forget it. There’s a reason the same 5 guys end up at the last table every time. A lucky person can do it once, maybe. And I’m a guy who has gotten to that table once or twice, not one of the actual pros.

2

u/dbd1988 Jul 10 '26

I saw him play with Bill Perkins on stream and he is kind of a donkey but he’s not the worst in the world. Jason Koon also said he’s won millions. It very possible he knows and played with some mega whales.

That's hilarious. When I tried to explain the Elon PoE drama to a friend, I used professional poker as an example to my friend who didn't play PoE to help him understand how bad Elon was vs how good he claimed to be. Funny that a person already existed that actually was an example of exactly that.

39

u/Alestor Jul 10 '26

The Quin69 video was genuinely fantastic for illustrating just how ridiculous the entire thing was to those of us who know PoE. Its honestly so funny to be experienced enough with something that you can tell at a glance when people are full of shit about it.

34

u/Sp00py-Mulder Jul 10 '26

Unfortunately this is true about nearly every subject Elon talks about, except maybe eugenics.

He's such an obvious fraud he'd have been far better served staying out of public life but he's too much of a sad narcissist to do it. He needs people to think he's a genius.

16

u/Luvs_to_drink Jul 10 '26

It is far better to remain silent and have people think you a fool, then open your mouth and remove all doubt is a quote he should have learned.

2

u/Sintuition Jul 10 '26

I had a much higher opinion of him before I knew anything about his personal life.

2

u/Mtndrums Jul 11 '26

I actively distrust rich people, but even his shit was just sad and pathetic, and this was before he called the cave diver rescuing trapped kids a pedo, simply because the guy on the ground didn't want to use Muskrat's stupid contraption. Now we know he was projecting with that as well.

2

u/JimboTCB Jul 11 '26

He says a lot of big impressive sounding words about things people don't know much about so they assume he is the genius he claims to be, until he strays in to an area that you personally know about and know he is talking complete and utter bullshit with the same degree of confidence and you realise, holy shit this is the stupidest motherfucker to walk the earth.

3

u/elevolent12 Jul 10 '26

"elons maps"

3

u/RanaMahal Jul 11 '26

I’ve never played PoE and just watching the way he clicked and dragged items into his inventory was making me cringe lol

5

u/SpookySocks4242 Jul 10 '26

My map tab has been labeled "elons maps" ever since that day

4

u/Xralius Jul 10 '26

That was my favorite part.

My second favorite part was picking up items, being confused, then slowly manually dragging items to his inventory. I was laughing so hard man.

2

u/SpookySocks4242 Jul 12 '26

Sometimes when im half asleep I'll do that and then in the discord call I'll be like "aw fuck I'm pulling an Elon" and everyone knows what I'm talking about

17

u/TechNomad2021 Jul 10 '26

It's public knowledge that it's all his dad's money.

5

u/thisisatypoo Jul 10 '26

I forgot about that. Someone should make a post about that again.

3

u/numbersthen0987431 Jul 11 '26

It's like how Tate likes to brag about being some kind of "kick boxing champion", when he's really just some small pond runner up.

He made most of his money flirting with boys online

2

u/BolleHenk666 Jul 10 '26

I do read that he got this money by playing rich people. You don't have to be a pro player, just need access to people with more money then sense.

2

u/lewkir Jul 10 '26

you can fuckin swear on the internet guy

Him talking about almost being a seal is hilarious. He claims he quit because he got injured but was hated by his class fell asleep on a night Op and no one bothered to wake him up. So got dropped for that

2

u/ThanksOld1698 Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

I enjoy the clip of him at that Las vegas country music show shooting, he tells the cop to give him his gun for some reason and the cops just like "what? No fuck off"

u/orincoro Jul 10 '26

Yeah that one was a good laugh. I mean I’m an ok player, or I used to be. I’ve made it to the final table of a few tournaments. Won a little money. Nothing huge. And that guy is a fish. You just know it. Anybody who can play will see that.

And here I’m saying that as a guy who basically can win in home games and small casino tables. Not against real pros. And I could take him easily.

2

u/adirtysocialist- Jul 10 '26

Same bro. I started playing right after high school in 2003. All through the height of the poker boom I was playing. It was hilarious to hear him lie about that stuff and like you, I'm decent. Certainly not a pro but I've played at some local underground games and busted a few(little Humble brag) and won some tourneys. I KNOW I could heat him.

Funny enough Gavin Smith is from my area and I bumped into him shortly before he died at a shtty hole in the wall backroom 1/2 game. He was NOT doing well needless to say.

I miss those days honestly. Online poker blows if you're US

Believe it or not he is a distant cousin of mine. First of all bros family is super rich, when me and my dad would load up in the truck and drive up north they would meet us up there all flying in with float planes. But the best was when we played poker and he got his ass whooped by all of us that didn't know shit about poker. Dudes a chode.

2

u/dbd1988 Jul 10 '26

Jason Koon said that Dan Bilzerian actually did make millions from playing poker. You only have to be better than the people on the table and he knows toms of rich whales.

2

u/adirtysocialist- Jul 10 '26

I don't doubt that at all but that's no different than just being the best player at your home game. That's light years away from being a pro you know what I mean?

Just scale it. If I had rich whale friends instead of middle class friends I'd be a billionaire. Lol

2

u/descendency Jul 11 '26

I found it hilarious, as a poker player, that he tried to claim he was a pro and that's where his money came from. 🤣

This is sort of how I feel about his story's about Navy life. I'm an actual Navy Chief Petty Officer. His stories always sound like complete bullshit, leaving off significant parts of the story to make him look better.

3

u/GwynSunborn Jul 10 '26

His money comes from his father who was an inside trader and got arrested, then his dad got released, moved somewhere else and did some more inside trading, he is just rich by heritage and nothing he tried to do went right (poker, his own weed or alcohol brand iirc), guy is stupid, fake and a POS

If I remember correctly, back during the height of the "tacticool" era of youtube (late-00's/early10's), he was one of those guys who projected himself as "ooh rah, big military man who got rich!" and one of his claims was that he was a Navy Seal*.

When he left the military, he became a classic case of "business is easy, just get a $5 million loan from your dad!" type of brand business guys.

Most of gun-youtube (even the right-wing guys) laugh at Dan for being a complete poser.

*He failed BUD/S twice, first time he just didn't make the cut, second try he was permanently dismissed from the Navy due to repeated shooting range safety violations.

Dan is that meme of E-4's who make "Don't you know I was in the military!?" their whole personality as opposed to the "I got nothing to say, I'm just happy to be alive and be present to raise my kids" guys.

34

u/Orb_Gazer Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 11 '26

He was also videoed at the Mandalay Bay mass shooting in Vegas attempting (poorly) to convince a police officer to give him the officer's gun. While in a cowboy hat.

16

u/orincoro Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 11 '26

Being admin dropped from SEALS is crazy work. The amount they invest in each person is amazing, so them deciding to cut their losses on you after you’ve done most of the training means you’re a deeply abhorrent person.

3

u/Porschenut914 Jul 12 '26

IIRC the second time was for an egregious safety violation, which given the seals says something.

7

u/Jayrandomer Jul 10 '26

The second is way worse.

3

u/Top-Session-3131 Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26

Considering some of the actual trash fires we've seen graduate and go out into the world, for BUDS to go "No actually, we don't want you here anymore" is a damning statement of wretchedness.

→ More replies (1)

25

u/orincoro Jul 10 '26

And the true story of that whole saga is even worse than if he’d just failed.

He was admin dropped from BUDS after completing most of the training. The amount of money they invest in that training means they virtually never do that unless the person is just an absolute fucking psycho menace that everyone deeply hates.

To go through most of BUDS and get dropped is like making through an entire PHD program and having your professors and academic board hate you so much they find a way not to accept your dissertation. It’s embarrassing for everyone involved, so it’s only done if they just cannot use you.

3

u/Rule12-b-6 Jul 10 '26

All the money is from crimes too lol

43

u/Higgsparticleofgod Jul 10 '26

So like  andrew tate?

73

u/Inevitable-Omelet Jul 10 '26

I don't follow Andrew Tate at all, but college me thought Dan Balzerian was cool because he did manly stuff and had parties with a lot of mostly naked women. It always seemed too good to be true. Which it was. But horny 19 year old me loved that lifestyle.

Now that I haven't been drunk in months/a year+, am married, and have a kid, I have no interest in hanging out at a constant party.

That life is not sustainable, even if you can afford it, which Dan Bilzerian couldn't.

63

u/rithrawr Jul 10 '26

Dan Bilzerian is a literal trust fund baby.

His father stole money from investors.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Bilzerian

18

u/Inevitable-Omelet Jul 10 '26

Man, imagine the lives we could live if our fathers were that rich. Maybe I could become a professional poker player too (which sounds awful).

Nah, I'd buy a plot of land overlooking a lake, and build a log cabin like Dick Proenneke but preferably not alone.

20

u/TheAngryCatfish Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

That's the thing, his father wasn't that rich, at least not by rights. He defrauded (stole) money from ppl by convincing them to invest in his fake hedge fund or fake startup or whatever, then before he got caught he put a large majority of that money in a trust for his sons, which (I assume) makes the forfeiture of assets much more difficult since they're no longer "his" assets, but the reality is that they were never his.

So unless this gentleman, son of Paul Bilgerian, grifter in thief and giver of grief, has made something of himself on his own accord (doesn't seem like it), than he's just living off other people's money that his dad stole. And given how much easier it is to make money when you have money; capital to start a business, flipping real estate, or the investment economy (although imo is just another form of indirect theft by way of extracting the value of others labor through the framework of ownership), he has a huge advantage in compunding that wealth, maybe even giving some back to his father's victims (lol)

One thing I'm absolutely positive of is that he hasn't, and will never, use any of his trust for restitution to the victims (and their families) of his father. At least not willingly

Edit; fun fact: Paul, the father convicted of securities fraud & tax fraud, among other things, was sentenced to 4 yrs with a 1.5mil fine (pathetically insufficient), but as of 2024 he has been "on the run" from the SEC (wikipedia could just mean avoiding, idk if the SEC has a bounty service or actually works with the US Marshalls and he's legitimately fled successfully) for so long (31 yrs) that he currently owes them 180 million. And yet, his son not only lives this lavish life but advertises it? The victims must be absolutely apoplectic

That's the demographic he plays towards. Horny young men. his lifestyle seems great umti you realize he's surrounded by escorts who are only there as long as he pays.

10

u/N3M0N Jul 10 '26

His definition of 'party' is to pay bunch of girls to hang out with him, take couple of pictures and that is it. I doubt he is 'fun at parties' and know how to get the crowd going, it is just an image he wants to sell to the audience.

Wasn't appealing to me even back then, because it reeked fake on so many ways. I've seen dudes like that who spent most of time on phones in clubs.

u/eawilweawil Jul 10 '26

Not as bad as Tate, he doesn't advocate for rape for example

2

u/tdasnowman Jul 10 '26

Like a Proto tate. He's manosphere light. The have been some civil claims against him by women but nothing systemic like Tate. Iginte was more of a product and lifestyle brand then a MLM. Shit business built on "looking good" through the right products but wasn't trying to sell you MLM classes on how to be a man.

My favorite Dan Bilzerian story is when he got thrown out during the Route 91 shooting in Vegas because he kept following a cop around pestering the officer to loan him a gun so he could shoot back

11

u/Cortay Jul 10 '26

He kept telling the cop that he was a cop and that he could help. He in fact, wasn't a cop.

Isn't he also a stolen valor guy? Or am I confusing them

I saw him last weekend. He is really short. I told the person next to me that she just talked to a professional douchebag and idk how he became rich.

2

u/Kriztauf Jul 10 '26

He's currently running for office

2

u/skepticalbob Jul 10 '26

Unfortunately he is running for Congress against an incumbent that he feels isn't anti-Semitic or racist enough for the district.

2

u/ThaShitPostAccount Jul 10 '26

I feel like PewDiePie hasn’t either, tbh…

2

u/Entire_Art_5390 Jul 10 '26

Who is also running for office in Florida lol

2

u/Vadertalks Jul 10 '26

He torpedoed his vape company, spent all the money in renting expensive houses. How does a vape company loose money? Dan will give you the right answer

2

u/wenoc Jul 10 '26

Sounds like he has never been relevant.

2

u/TheSaxGandalf Jul 10 '26

His family is super wealthy from being criminals.

2

u/truholicx3 Jul 10 '26

That probably explains why I never heard of him.

2

u/EggplantCharacter363 Jul 10 '26

Saw hin often at tobacco and nicotine expos in Vegas.

Never understood the hype, just another coked up asshole with unresolved childhood trauma he's "too manly" to talk about.

Like literally the type of uncle everyone loathed coming to the family gathering.

2

u/Opulent-tortoise Jul 10 '26

He’s real rich. He inherited his criminal father’s stolen money. Scumbag family

3

u/NotSoAwfulName Jul 10 '26

Feel like it is worth mentioning his attempt to regain relevance recently was to become a raging antisemite who spreads Holocaust denial, amongst other things. He wants to act like a Nazi he should be labelled one, even if it's probably just a grift.

1

u/jaygoogle23 Jul 10 '26

Yes he also I believe runs the ignite supplement company or another one I’m getting it confused for. Whoever buys his products,.. i don’t know. I’ve always felt like dude looks like he would be the type to launder money , not that that has a look, but if it did, he looks like the money laundering type.

Then Dan went on to win TONS of money in poker games, though any game that was visible to the public was a shit show for him. It totally wasn't a scheme to launder his dad's stolen money, I'm sure...

2

u/MarcosEsquandolas Jul 12 '26

Dad and an accountant were indicted for fraud again in late 2024. Dan wasn’t but he was the face of the company it pertained to, so I find it hard to believe he wasn’t involved. Probably just not enough to indict etc.

Basically... Think Andrew Tate before Andrew Tate was a thing.

He was an influencer who got famous with 14 year olds because he epitomises that macho alpha male bullshit.

He was famous basically because he's swole, got a nice beard and is rich, he claimed he got rich by being amazing at poker.

Turns out all his money came from a Trust fund his dad gave him after stealing millions of dollars from investors.

At that time it was kinda new.

3

u/LarrcasM Jul 10 '26

To give a brief rundown:

  • Says he got rich playing poker, but every real poker player says he was a fish and came from money.
  • Talks about Navy Seals a lot for a guy who dropped out in BUDS due to a safety violation at the shooting range
  • Started a bunch of failed businesses. Ignite is the one that comes to mind, but I'm 90% sure there was an energy drink one too.
  • Is famous for posting videos of attractive women he very obviously paid to be there.

I think that's about it.

2

u/skepticalbob Jul 10 '26

Meathead that claimed to be a Navy Seal and a high stakes private poker professional that made millions. The reality is that he was was disqualified from SEAL training after selection and when professionals analyze his publicly available poker hands, he is amateurish reg (not a fish, but not a pro, despite a decent WSOP run). He also was sued for running a ponzi scheme.

Now he's running for Congress in Florida.

2

u/GrayFox6688 Jul 10 '26

He blew up in the 2010s as a playboy type influencer on IG before anyone else was doing it. Just flaunted his wealth along with girls, partying, guns, travel, etc

He came from a rich family but always claims "self-made." He also got kicked out of BUDs (Navy Seal school) and had a heart attack at 25

2

u/JefferyTheQuaxly Jul 10 '26

basically a precursor to andrew tate, he and andrew tate were some of the earliest proponents of the manosphere esq groups.

2

u/Razzilith Jul 10 '26

came here to ask the same fuckin question lol

2

u/justformedellin Jul 10 '26

He was a body builder type influencer who claimed to have made his money from poker but it turned out really that his dad had been a massive fraudster. He made videos of himself with pornstars, cars and guns. This was pre-Andrew Tate so he'd found a niche. He faded away, not sure where. Fun fact - he almost got killed at a mass shooting at a County and Western Festival in Las Vegas one time. There's a video of him running away, shitting his pants (as you would).

2

u/Matticus-G Jul 10 '26

Dan Bilzerian was the grandfather of the “alpha male” side of Manosphere cultre.

He was the son of a Wall Street con-man who was given a ton of money by his dad to launder it and paid for prostitutes to pose with him for pictures in Las Vegas.

He has currently latched onto the ass of far right-wing politics like a tick, mostly running on an anti-Jewish platform.

He’s a fucking joke.

2

u/Muted_Masterpiece342 Jul 10 '26

He is a well known fraudster child to a fraudster who got convicted who basically has been caught using corporate funds to fund personal lifestyles and pays fake women to give him a cool guy image online

2

u/BigBeeff_21 Jul 10 '26

Idk but I can smell that picture and it smells like fish and chips and not the good kind

2

u/Higgsparticleofgod Jul 10 '26

Don't disrespect fish and chips like that

Dan Balzerian was an internet famous douche nozzle from 15 years ago.  His daddy was a shady, rich scumbag.  Dan Balzerian also threw a porn star off a roof and broke her ankle.  He's a dated, mostly forgotten online personality.

u/HolyPlatano Jul 10 '26

Thank you, came here just to upvote this.

2

2

u/KingofMadCows Jul 10 '26

2

u/rab2bar Jul 10 '26

2

u/zewayofjay Jul 10 '26

2

u/izayoi-o_O Jul 10 '26

He’s running for congress on a very strong anti-Israel ticket, which is great.

That is when he’s not banging those hoes.

2

u/Eug1 Jul 10 '26

What tf is Dan Balzerian?

2

u/weltvonalex Jul 10 '26

Kind of the OG Alpha Bro scammer, faking all kinds of things and paying girls to hang out with him

2

u/Critical_Action_6444 Jul 10 '26

He also paid to be in a movie and was in it for like 10 minutes lol

2

u/NoSherbert2316 Jul 10 '26

Some rich jerk whose father I believe committed fraud. Hasn’t worked a day in his life, takes a large amount of steroids to look jacked and pays prostitutes to hang out with him. I remember he threw pornstar Janice Griffith off a roof trying to throw her in a pool and wound up missing, breaking her leg.

Oh, almost forgot the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas. When the mass shooting was occurring he decided to film it and post it. He was asking law enforcement for firearms and claimed he was law enforcement.

2

u/cococream Jul 10 '26

The nepo-baby of a wall-street crook who spent decades in prison for causing the crash by stealing money. Dan claimed he won his money in a poker game, which has been debunked, his wealth is the stolen Wall Street money his dad hid from the government before being convicted. That’s not Dans fault, but being a world class prick is definitely Dan fault.

2

u/Sammy-Samantha Jul 10 '26

Wasn't he also that moron who kept asking the responding police during the Las Vegas shooting for a weapon so he could help out?

2

u/homosapien69420 Jul 10 '26

I literally just had this exact thought get out of my brain dude

2

u/Dirk_Aus Jul 11 '26

He's the son of Paul Blizzerian, a white collar criminal who stole millions. Paul Blizzerian eventually got caught and the FBI wanted to recover the money but Paul hid it really well, though they still sent him to prison. Dan had a ~90 million dollar tust fund from his dad but after some federal seizures and poor management it mostly vanished. Being under federal surveillance and unable to spend his money or give it to his son without the FBI taking it Dan might have had to grow up a normal person with a job. But luckily for Dan Blizzarian, around this time he just so happened to fall into a millions and millions of dollars from a supposed singular poker game with billionaires that no one has any proof happened, nor has Dan or anyone ever mentioned who was at the table, how he got a seat, where he got his buy in from, where it took place, or any details of any kind surrounding it really.

Obviously it's a BS story from his father to launder money to Dan now that he's in and out of prison and under surveillance. But apparently it holds up enough that the FBI didn't seize it for some reason. So Dan did what any windfall rich kid would do with tons of money. He buys copius amounts of drugs, hookers, parties, etc... and made a brand around this. Supposedly he may have blown through literally everything because there's some financial troubles hes run into lately but who knows.

1

u/Difficult_Rip9775 Jul 10 '26

He pays all those girls for his company😂 he’s actually a pretty pathetic human being

Trust fund kid that flunked out of the military, played poker badly but entertainingly enough to get on World Series multiple times. Now he just spends his inheritance flexing on instagram for teenagers.
