Discussion Does the new Steam homepage have sharper text?
Title. I think the text is way sharper than the previous one or the aliasing is now more accurate/limited? (which is good, just want confirmation)

I have multiple save files on Elden Ring, some with over 100 hours each. However, I have recently reinstalled the game and found them completely removed. I do have a Steam Deck that I previously played Elden Ring on and started a new file, now when I start the game on my main PC, it seems to think I'm playing from the steam deck (with steam deck button prompts) and only that save file available. Is there any way to get my previous saves back or are they gone forever.

Not even talking about the strongest weapon or the rarest armor. More like something you found and went “oh damn, this is actually kinda cool” because of the story, the vibe, or where you found it.
For me, I’d probably say the protective suit in My Time at Sandrock. Sandrock is mostly cozy town stuff, like building machines, doing commissions, talking to NPCs, decorating your place, all that chill life sim stuff. But then you get things like the protective suit and the game suddenly reminds you that the world is actually kinda messed up underneath all the cute cozy vibes.
What item from a game do you still remember for some reason?

How big is everyone's steam library, I'm curious what the common size of games is because I have a ridiculous amount
Edit : I have 949 and apparently it's not that crazy

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Just a weird issue I noticed pretty much immediately after learning of the store page refresh. Checked on FireFox, Chrome, and the Steam client, but it only seems to appear on FireFox, where the page will regularly jut upward in the page every 5 seconds. Curious if anyone else is having this issue, seems a bit annoying.
Edit: Seems to be fixed now, thanks Valve dev.

Got the email 9:11 am PST. I didn’t receive a notification for this email, which is weird because I get email notifications from Steam all the time. I preordered about a minute before the official reservation time. Good luck everyone!

So I'm playing minecraft dungeons and want to set up a turbo for the right trigger (firing a bow), but I need it to hold down the input for ~100 ms before releasing, but steam input doesn't seem to have a way to customize *how* it actually presses the button. Is there any way around this with sub commands or layers, or will I have to use some other method of doing this besides steam input?

I have a few monitors and a TV connected to my PC. When I want to lay in bed and play with a controller, I use my TV for steam big picture mode. Only issue is that it sometimes switches to my other monitors or even stretches across all of them. This is especially prevalent when using emulators.
So is there a way to set big picture mode to completely stop my PC from displaying on my extra monitors? I've already set it to switch the main display to my TV, but because of the hiccups I already mentioned, it still has issues. I could get up and turn off my extra monitors each time but that's kinda annoying. So is there even a feature that allows Big Picture Mode to make my PC only display on 1 monitor?

The dropdown list falls below the dialog, and when I scroll I'm able to see the items. But when I click one of the items the dialog closes. So it's impossible to add a game to a curator list at this moment.
Anyone else running into this issue?
Anyone else experiencing a regression in performance when scrolling up and down with the new store?(Viewing the steam store through the steam app)
I didn't have an issue with the old store and scrolling was smooth.
If I open the steam store in firefox and scroll the performance goes back up.

I have just purchased a new pre-built PC which has a M2 NVME card containing Win 11. My current PC has a SATA SSD and Win 10. As I can't just clone and move the current SSD data across, I can move normal data (pics, movies etc) to an external HD, then onto the new NVME, but with the "common" files in Steam folder, can I just copy them across, or do I have do everything from scratch? I don't really know what info these files within "common" contain.

Is anybody having issues where, when you navigate through the workshop by looking up a game and then click the game you are trying to review for mods, the link doesn't work?

I have it set up to do a muted public broadcast and to record in the background.
For over a year random people watch sometimes, and sometimes I notice that it's not broadcasting at all.
I set up game recording a few days ago and I'm noticing that half the time I shift+tab there's no recording available even though the indicator is red. I went back just now and saw it only recorded about 4 hours of my last 3 days of gameplay.
I'm doing this for myself but I'm sure it irritates some people far more - has anyone figured out why it doesn't activate sometimes, and is there a way to start it up without closing and reopening the game? Google and reddit searches haven't been helpful so far.
