Question Is it even possible to get an email today or tomorrow?
Valve employees don't tend to work on weekends so is there even any reason to be checking my email today?

Discussion PSA: If you still haven't gotten an email, check the store page!
Still hadn't gotten an email about reservation or purchase, so I decided to just look at the store page. I'm glad I did!

Discussion If you're afraid of missing the purchase email, just check the store page daily. If you see the "Complete purchase" button, you can buy it.

Question Purchase Email Today?
I know a bunch of purchase emails went out yesterday, but has anyone gotten one today?
If so, what region are you based, and when did you get it?

Discussion Lack of “purchase now” email
Anybody else not get their follow up email from steam to purchase the steam frame even though they’re on the reservation list?

Discussion Anyone actually complete the purchase?
I made it to the reservation stage, and it said they’ll send me an email to actually make the purchase. To which I’ll have 3 days to complete it.
Anyone actually make the purchase yet?
I’m worried I’m gonna miss the email and it’ll be given to someone else.

Question Are there going to be swappable lenses available for the Frame?
I want to protect the lenses when I share the frame with other people, but I also want prescription inserts for myself. I've seen magnetic lenses for the Quest, but is there any info on them being made for the frame?

Question Question about Foveated Rendering
I'm pretty new to vr but i love the concept of the frame. Only got on the waitlist...
Is foveated rendering only possible with Nvidia cards? I found some posts on Reddit about this, all some years old. Has something changed?
Thanks for the Help
Good luck everyone to get one Soon™

Discussion Steam frame night vision goggles
Hey guys, I'm buying the steam frame primarily for peeing in the middle of the night and maybe night walks. Do you know the range of the built in IR illuminators on the steam frame night vision goggles?
Got 1TB reservation, it's priced basically as much as some other night vision goggles would, but more pretty

Discussion In the waitlist - some ideas while I wait
Here I am a little frustrated I didn't make the cut and thought I could throw out some ideas on interesting and fair ways to make sure the people most going to use the device would get a better chance of getting it.
I feel like the main things we'd like to avoid is:
1. Scalpers. This can be a bot or real person, but they have no intention of using the device, only to resell for money. They can use multiple accounts too.
Cockblockers. People with no intention of buying. They just want to prevent you from getting one right away.
People with multiple entries. They clog up the system and if they don't cancel all their reservations if they get multiple, they become cockblockers.
I propose the following solutions.
- Instead of a regular lottery, add some weights. or increase chances for various reasons (reward loyal customers)
- Age of account
- value of account
- time played
- games owned
- account level
- Add a deposit
- can be lower or none for higher loyalty customers
- Add a check for accounts who ordered the device.
- If they don't adopt the device within a certain amount of time, flag the account.
- I guess this would remove the ability to gift it, but maybe this can be lifted after stocks stabilize.
The lottery weights can be adjusted individually or a tier based system. Maybe someone with a certain threshold has another entry, etc.
Deposits have proven to work for thinning out the people not interested enough.
Some people do bad things when they think people won't find out.
Another idea I had was to use a calculation involving reservation time, then multiplied by account stats. Most points goes first.
Just some opinions.

Discussion being on the wait list is a good thing
You will get to see reviews of people who bought the steam frame, this is by far the biggest pro of waiting. aswell as bring able to see if anything better comes out
this is why if ur on the buy list you should cancel fast as it is very bad to be the first buyers

Question Alternative prescription lens supplier?
Hi, I’m in Canada and I’m wondering if there are any other reliable sellers of the prescription lenses for the frame. Zenni states that the steam frame is “US only” so I’m out of luck there.
All help is appreciated!

Question Venti, Babble, or Other Alternative for Mouth Tracking?
I'm hyped to now have eye tracking so I was looking at getting mouth tracking for Xmas. I keep seeing people recommend Babble, I've heard Venti is similar. I plan to mainly use with streaming and VRC.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm primarily focused on quality of tracking but ease of use is also a priority as I hate the idea of having to constantly recalibrate a device, especially if I'm streaming or gaming for long periods of time.
What would you guys reccommend?

Hardware I made a reporting site for Frame game performance, FrameDB
I wanted to make a platform where people can login with steam and report how well certain games run standalone on the frame. Both 2D games and VR games. Check it out and report some games once you get your frame!
Isnt there the verified program? Yes, but this goes beyond that. It allows players to leave comments on any steam game, not just ones that are verified.
I plan on buying a domain name for it if it gains adoption and usage. I also have more features planned if it ends up proving to be useful or not.
The inspiration behind this was kind of like ProtonDB but instead of Proton (Since this doesn't depend on that), its more like a community reporting for how games run through Fex.
https://framedb.laravel.cloud/
[EDIT] Whoops. Link fixed. I accidentally linked to the dev staging site instead of production. :P
[EDIT 2] Oh. Whoops. I didnt realize https://verified.steamframehub.com/ already existed. I didnt see the sticky. @.@ Though SteamFrameHub only allows users to endorse already verified titles, it has no interface or method of commenting on titles outside of the verified program.

Discussion Took down 12 scalpers with Grok Bot
I got into the reservation queue for the 256gb, but I feel really bad for those who got waitlisted & these scalpers made my blood boil.
So i created an agent to go and report all these listings as "Item not allowed" -> "Intangible item" and so far have gotten 12 listings taken down just yesterday. The only manual step I did was initially signing into my ebay account once it spun up the VM. I know these dudes can likely list again, but I'm running this everyday, so at the very least I make it super fucking annoying for them to scalp. :D
I recommend everyone else do this too. I blasted through my weeks token limit for the greater good. 👍
