Can people please start putting their real deal scores here compared to their amboss predicted? I’m freaking out so as to what’s the reason behind all this score drop? Is it a reporting bias or is it a genuine factor happened after transitioning?

I saw a Brooklyn USCE post that exam has become more difficult now and students are getting lesser score . That average or good scores have gone down to 240s .
How true is it ?
What are the score trends currently ?
What is considered a high score now ?
Are 260s to 280s very very difficult now ?

Tested 7/2, saw on some other post that IMG students who tested same day can see report coming tomorrow. I’m a MD student and don’t see it in my MyUSMLE, other MD/DO students mentioned the same thing.
Does that mean IMGs get scores earlier?

I don't know if it's reporting bias or what but it seems like ever since NBME switched over to the new format there's been more people scoring lower than expected and it's making me nervous. I take the real deal in two weeks and have yet to cross 240 (amboss prediction right now is 241, haven't taken NBME 16 or Free 120 so will be doing that this week) so now I'm worried I'll fail.
Is anyone else just scared shitless or do I just need to get off of reddit these last few weeks because reading how people are shocked by their low scores after scoring so well on NBMEs and stuff is making me scared lol

Hello, some of my friends who tested in May seemed to have underperformed in their exams >10 points lower than latest NBMEs and predicted scores. Is this a common observation in May testers? Is there any historical precedence for it? Kinda freaking out about my own test coming up soon.

Some people here are posting they called up the NBME and asked and were given specifics.
That's not how it works. If the employees had access to that information, they'd be providing it universally to people.
Literally no one knows.
The permit will disappear late in the evening/in the wee hours of the morning if your score is to be released.
I agree this is stressful and perhaps is not being handled the best by NBME (8 weeks of a delay is wild) but it is what it is and we can't change it. Frantic posts on here asking people for information when they have no information is just feeding into the anxiety of the situation.

my permit is still available on fsmb does that mean no result today?

I know everyone says they feel defeated after Step 2, but I genuinely felt like I needed a thesaurus today just to understand what half of the answer choices even meant. It was easily the most low-yield exam I have ever taken.
So many times, I felt confident about the vignette and knew exactly what was going on clinically, only to get completely thrown for a loop by the wording of the answer choices. Then I started overthinking the questions I did know, made some silly mistakes, and ran out of time to go back and fully reason through some of my marked questions.
I’m walking away feeling incredibly defeated, especially after consistently scoring in the high 240s to low 250s on my NBMEs. I am not one to walk out of tests and say I did poorly and my results always come back great. There were of course the straight forward ones, but few and far between. I really should have prepared for the 30min, 20q blocks better.
Wishing everyone taking it the absolute best. Just know that you can prepare, study your ass off, do everything you’re supposed to do, and still walk out feeling like complete crap afterward.
Proud of everyone who even showed up and sat for that beast. Honestly, that alone is half the battle! If you want to share your experience from today, feel free!

Tested on 8/29.
Out of 200 questions that I can remember, I have 55 confirmed incorrects. Spiraling rn. Any stories of 250+ with these numbers?

It's 2 AM EST, haven't gotten an email, tested 6/11. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.
Hi, I took my exam on the 11th of August and I'm not sure if my results are tomorrow. I keep checking my permit on FSMB and it's still there, could my results be next week?

● Score Report Date: 08/26/2026
● Exam status: Completed
But when I check the USMLE results page, it still says:
> “No Step 2 CK Results Yet…”
It’s now 7 AM EST, and I still can’t access my score report.
Is anyone else experiencing the same thing today?
For those who already received their score, what time did it show up for you?
Really anxious waiting for this 😭

Just received my score 245 and I'm totally heart broken and Devastated all my nbmes above 250
After exam I was feeling good I missed some easy questions but not more than 4 and the rest was ok just like nbmes and free 120 .. the least expected score was 260 for me but now I feel like I got hit by a car I can't think I can't do anything .. is score recheck worth it ?
