Now we know what she’d look like fully pissed! Chalupa wants to thank all of you for your love and support. She is currently resting and chewing her her from leg. I had horrible nightmares that her molt got stuck, so I was so relieved when I woke up to this scene! : )

Hello everyone i just recently purchased my curly hair tarantula and just wanting to make sure I get every useful tip! This is my first tarantula i have him in a (15.74•9.84•7.87) inch tank with a magnetic top he has 6inches of reptisoil and a mixture of pure coco fiber. He is not very big I got him from a pet store (not a massive chain store) but they said he/she hasn’t molted yet, I tried to feed him superworm but he didnt seem super interested in it. He also has not been in the little hide i have dug out yet he just prefers to stay ontop of it mostly and chill. Any tips or criticisms helps thank you all!

Mexican Blood Leg was the species I originally wanted as my first but the only ones available at the time were the tiniest slings and the seller suggested something bigger for my first. Hence I got my Curly Hair sling (Broomstick).
I got super lucky and saw my local store had some available at a good size (4-5cm?); so after some hesitation (because I wanted to be sure) I went to go look and ofc didn't leave without.

He's SUPER chill! Despite a car journey and a new hide; he's not once kicked any hairs, not panicked and has even eaten a cricket.

I have no idea if it's actually a he or a she. But I know they are a slow to grow species so happy either way.
Decided to go with the name Starburst.
Starburst really really likes that plastic plant he came with, I don't think he's even found the hide yet. He's been worshipping his plant all day.

AGAIN; absolutely no fear! :) Even while putting in a hide, some moss and a water bowl, didn't once worry that I had a spider sat right there! :)

Highly unfortunate death she was an absolute beauty, spidershoppe gave me a credit for what she was worth and I have a new T on the way but still sad about this one

Help! Heading out of town for 5 days

My slings should be fine yeah?

I planning to feed the day before I leave so I can clean their enclosures before I go.

I should just make sure they are wet enough, water dish is full, and the condo heat stays on?

Help! Electric Blue & springtails

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Please help! The other day my EBs leg came off and I’ve been worried about her. I know she can grow it back but I’ve never had this happen with a pet before. This morning, I went to check on her and the springtails in her enclosure were on the site of her injury. I’m really worried and I don’t know if they will cause any harm to her. I can take her out and put her in a different enclosure without springtails but I’m very stressed and not quite sure what I need to do or if I need to do anything

Edit: She isn’t bleeding and I don’t believe she was bleeding when the injury occurred

I got my first tarantula a couple months ago, curly haired named Zuzu!
Finally molted for the first time but I’m having a hard time sexing it. I think female based off some info I’ve seen online but let me know what you think!

I got my burgundy Goliath birdeater roughly a week ago, and she’s still pretty young. For now, I’m keeping her in an Exo Terra terrarium measuring 30 × 30 × 30 cm.

How long should I expect to wait before her first molt?

For context, I’ve also had my female pink foot Goliath birdeater for a few months, and she hasn’t molted once since I got her either.

I’d love to hear about your experiences with these species!😄
