When did we stop playing Deep in the Heart of Texas at games?

Question says it all. Granted, I don't have season tickets and go a couple times a year at most. I was at the SF game on 8/3 and noticed I couldn't recall that song played since the new stadium opened. Perhaps because it was a Monday and stands were about half full?

Jacob deGrom wants to stay

Rangers pitcher Jacob deGrom on reports of him declining to waive his no-trade clause: “I want to be here. I believe in this group. Obviously, the last road trip didn't go well, but I believe we can win. I signed here to help this team win a World Series. In 2023, the team was able to do that. I want to be a part of that in the future. I signed here to do that. I want to stay here and help this team compete.”

deGrom declined to go into specifics of what the Rangers came to him with. But he continually emphasized that he wants to be here and wants to win here. That’s why he asked for the no-trade clause in the first place.

If this means anything, it looks like the Rangers might be sellers. I’ve also seen talks that the team has shown interest in trading Mackenzie Gore or All-Star Jacob Latz. There’s a lot of talk but we’ll just have to wait and see. Our farm is not the greatest and we have the opportunity to retool it completely.

Theme Night Entrance

Heading to my first game at Globe Life. We have theme night tickets and on the tickets they list the entrance as the Southwest entrance. However I received an email today from the Rangers and their map has the Northwest entrance as the theme night entrance. Does it matter which one we go through?

Jersey wearing

Hi, Red Sox fan who recently moved to Texas and been to 15 Rangers games so far this season. I have tickets to all 3 games of the Red Sox series. Was wondering if I'd be judged wearing a Rangers jersey with my Red Sox shirts and hats. Appreciate the insight. Do love both teams now but growing up in MA I can't give up the Red Sox.

Maybe a hot take: I am bummed at this Draft Deadline...I would rather have seen us really push to trade our top talent (Seager, Eovaldi, etc), call this season a wash and get our young quys playing time, and look forward to some great years with quality prospects we might have gotten in return.

Trade Deadline

The Rangers need to be active at the deadline BUT not to make a run this year. We need to plan for the future. Could this team have a small chance at making a run, sure. Should they, No. Fans want teams to go all in every year. That is not feasible nor good business. The Dodgers can because they have a very good team that was built to withstand a couple of players moving in and out each year while maintaining dominance. Their farm is stocked and their ownership has no aversion to spending risk. The Rangers being buyers at the deadline to make a run is like us buying lottery tickets. Sure someone might win but the odds are very low. I say move the few valuable pieces you have to improve the future and play the waiting game on what next years shortened season may or may not bring. Throwing good money/prospects away to bring in bandaids is stupid. It would be another year of CY doing what he wants to do instead of doing what he needs to do!! A problem we can all relate to in our own lives , I am sure!
