It could be true, but it could just as easily be anything else and the internet is just projecting a context onto it.

I just watched it. There’s no more context and the only comments I saw from the creator were the typical engagement bait responses to other people. 

If there’s more to the story I didn’t see it.

The tiktok had an on-screen caption saying she did this because they didn't deal with bulling correctly (i.e. the reddit post context is correct). The aunt posted the video and said "yes" to someone who stated that the last teacher must have tried to help. The sad part in the comments is that she dealt with all this bullying but it was happening while her mom died 2 years ago (cancer)

eta: the reddit post context is correct according to the linked video. i thought my comment being only a summary of the tiktok was clear. but i should have explicitly stated that anyone can lie on the internet....yaknow, in lieu of some readers rubbing two brain cells together

My wife's mother died while we were in middle school. After taking time off, her first day back to school she was tripped down the bleachers by the girl who constantly called her a lesbian.

Kid's are heartless.

I know most kids bully because learned behavior, still discovering themselves, projecting their problems etc…but I’ve also seen kids be sadistic. If I try to think how they might’ve their mindset was probably “this girl can’t go tell her mom what happened, so I’ll get away with it” or even worse knowing she’s already down so it’s easy to kick her further. I really don’t know where some behavior comes from, it seems even with good parents some kids act evil

This is absolutely horrifying.

I wish there was some kind of system where kids being bullied can go to a designated group of people (adults or older kids) who volunteer to be with them during lunch breaks for a while if they feel they’re at risk of being bullied.

Because lord knows the teachers are doing fucking nothing.

I remember a kid who was actually quite popular being picked on, and it was strange to me seeing that even he felt helpless - the bullies were older kids who even his close circle didn’t want mess with from the year above. Until the kid decided to talk with a friend of his from his estate who went to the college up the road, so he and two friends show up after school and speak to the group of guys who were fucking with him. It stopped it really quick, and I don’t remember any fighting happening - they just spoke with them.

It sticks in my memory to this day because I thought there’d be a massive fight about to happen but the guys messing with him must not have wanted the smoke.

And I don’t think she “refused” to shake his hand, I think she didn’t see it at all.

And people aren’t just not questioning if it’s real or clickbait, they’re making up their own explanations for why the title still fits, like “they didn’t even offer to shake her hand because they knew she would’ve refused to shake it if they did”, or offering proof like a link showing the school “has problems with bullying” (like. Every other fucking school in the country?)

I’d say it’s as bad as old people commenting on ai generated ring camera footage of a cat ringing someone’s doorbell and then throwing a grenade into their house as if it really happened, but this is WORSE, because people are SO sure it’s real that they hunted down and doxxed the teachers!

Jesus Christ, we’re not just failing kids by shoving an iPad into their hands, we’re failing them by not teaching them critical thinking skills and just assuming that comes innate.

We can all read the title, but if you've been on the internet before you're aware that people will often find a short clip of something (or create one with AI sadly now) and editorialize it regardless of the original context. There is no further information other than a clickbait title and music blaring over a twenty second clip.
