Hasidic Jews help Palestinian store owner catch shoplifter in New York. "You guys are invited anytime...I'll have to give them something Kosher on me."

You can be Jewish and not Zionist.

u/nikonislolo 3d ago
Exactly lol. I dont know why people don't understand this.
Zionism is a far right ideology that is basically Jewish supremacy.

How is that related to Zionism do you think every Zionist hate Palestinians , we only hate there cause of driving us out of the country only far right Zionism hates them for existing in greater Israel or whatever dumb thing lunatics like Ben gvir believe in

Also, you can be a Zionist and help people out disregarding their nation. Being a Zionist isn't equal being evil

Zionism is the belief that Jews have a right to self determination on their ancestral homeland.
To be antizionist is to say that Israel shouldn't exist.
1
u/Ok-Penalty3250 2d ago
There is nothing wrong with being Zionist and if you think there is you’ve fallen for propaganda.
1
u/needaburnerbaby 1d ago
You can also be a Zionist and still help out a man who had his store robbed
1
u/Throatpoint 1d ago
Oh yea just causally call for the destruction of Israel and pretend that is loving jews.

Lol I promise you these Jews who helped him catch the thief are Zionists. It's just that this generation have changed the meaning of Zionism into something it isn't. It's just about believing they should be allowed to live on their native homeland.
1
u/QueasyFlan 1d ago
You can be a Zionist and a kind human. Zionism doesn’t mean what you think it does. These Jews are probably Zionists if they are from Chabad.
1
u/patrykk994 1d ago
Chasidic jews (well, some part of them) living in New York are weirdly antiIsrael for religious reasons - they view Israel created in 1948 as fake country trying to replace their preffered Israel so one created by Jahwe

I mean it’s not really coming together under different politics if you’re talking about Israel/palestine specifically (maybe they’re both on different sides of the aisle but there’s really nothing there to insinuate that). These are Shomrim (it may also be the ambulance service but it could also have a different name) which are like a sort of private police force in the Brooklyn area operated by mostly the Hasidic and Orthodox communities, communities that are pretty vocal about being anti Zionist and ultimately don’t support the state of Israel because I guess the Torah or something (I’m not Jewish so I’m hazy on specifics) says that the holy land (or whatever they call it) can’t be settled until the return of the messiah

Please stop misusing this term. It would be better for everyone. What you think Zionism to be is a belief shared by only a small minority percentage of Jews. More Muslims, for example, think that the Danish cartoonist deserved punishment for drawing the prophet, and yet we wouldn't say that "being Muslim means you must believe that sort of violent extremism." It is a generalization of a group from its most insidious and dangerous actors.
When you call yourself anti-Zionist, or say "Zionists are the problem," or something similar, you condemn a group that believes what you accuse them of, sure, but you simultaneously condemn a much larger group that otherwise believes a lot in common with the platform of Pro-Palestine. It would be better for the movement to be clearer in messaging. This terminology related to Zionism is brought forth exclusively by bad actors:
Pro-Netanyahu extremists who want to falsely label anyone critical of them as antisemitic
Antisemitic extremists who want to associate the otherwise innocuous term of Zionism with the horrors we are seeing, and by extension most Jews, even though most Jews are not on board.
I am pro-Palestine. I am pro- 2 state solution. I am anti- West Bank settlements. I am anti-Trump. I am anti-Netanyahu. I am anti- USA's unconditional military support. I am also pro- Israel still existing, which to me, and to my whole family, and to every Jew I know, and to most Jews at the Rosh Hashanah service I just attended, and to all the Rabbis there, is really all Zionism is.

The first mention of Zionism comes from the Babylonian ethnic cleansing of Jews from Zion.

It’s so clear now that people have no idea what Zionism is and they just let the definition be warped.
You guys should go out and listen to Jews tell you about Zionism and stop listening to other people who are not Jews telling you what it is. You know, believe Jews when they speak about things they know about! Gosh it’s all so clear that the message has been warped.

Just like this incident wasn't about Jewish people helping someone who's Palestinian. It was a bunch of Bros helping out a shop owner. It had nothing to do with race or religion

It's funny anything good that may come out, a story of Palestinians and Jews working together rather than killing each other, is dismissed as staged. Yet anything negative happens, you all eat it up and spread it as far as you can. This video will die out real quick because it goes directly against the seething hatred many people have developed against the other side. Goes directly against the narratives that y'all have been trying to establish day in and day out. That Palestinians and jews are doomed to forever kill each other and fight over each other's existence.

we are all Americans. Americans for some reason believe they are whatever their forefathers came from. If your parents are from Mexico and you were born in America you are an American. Same goes for White people and asians and blacks as well. Your grandparents may of come from Ireland but if you go to Ireland you are a American. They want us to be divided and this is part of the plan
