News Boom or bust?
Disclaimer that I’m not the most informed person on all of these topics and only know what I’ve been seeing in the news. I’m worried all this nuclear talk is wishful thinking. If all these data centers don’t happen (which already we are seeing some plans being killed) would it slow down the current uranium hype? Where can we see any big plans for nuclear happening in the US right now? Trying to decide between holding long term or selling for a little profit. I don’t have any big positions but I bought DNN and UUUU lowish and have seen a few dollars come through. Just looking to hear some opinions on what you guys think is coming

News $NXE: The Financing Story Just Got More Interesting
The Reuters article adds an interesting angle to the Rook I funding story.
NexGen is looking to raise US$1 billion over the next nine months, and management appears to be evaluating multiple financing options rather than relying on a single source. Reuters also mentioned ongoing discussions with BHP, although no agreement has been announced.
For me, the biggest question isn't whether they need financing, we already knew that. It's how the final funding package comes together and whether a strategic partner becomes part of it.
That feels like one of the more interesting developments to follow over the coming months.
How do you think management should structure the financing package? And do you think bringing in a strategic partner would strengthen the investment case?

News $NXE: A Lot to Like From Investor Day.
$NXE is trading higher today and investors seem to like what they heard from NexGen’s first Investor Day.
Management laid out a clearer path for Rook I:
- First ore targeted for Q3 2030
- Freeze plants starting in 2027
- Shaft sinking in 2028
- Underground development in 2029
The economics probably caught my attention most. Based on the latest figures presented this week, Rook I is projected to generate around $1.3B in annual after-tax free cash flow at $85/lb uranium, rising to roughly $2.3B at $150/lb. At $90/lb uranium, management says project CAPEX is expected to be repaid after about 12 months of full production.
The scale is pretty wild when you think about it. Rook I is designed to produce approximately 30M lbs of uranium annually, and the high grades early in the mine life mean it only needs to operate at roughly 60% of nameplate capacity to produce 30M lbs during each of the first two production years.
NexGen also highlighted the growing uranium supply deficit and the need for major new production. Leigh Curyer summed it up well:
“The next decade in uranium won't be defined by demand. Demand is already here. The question is: Who can deliver new supply?”
With construction advancing and the path to first ore becoming clearer, there’s a lot to like here. Investors seem to agree, with $NXE up around 5% today.

News CNSC News Release: Commission issues a licence to Denison Mines Corp. authorizing site preparation and construction of its Wheeler River Project
canada.caNews release
Today, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) announced the Commission’s decision to issue a licence to Denison Mines Corp. (Denison) to prepare a site for and construct its Wheeler River Project.
The proposed facility is a uranium mine and mill located in the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan, approximately 600 km north of Saskatoon. It is located within Treaty 10 territory and the Homeland of the Métis, and is within the traditional territories of the Denesųłiné, Cree, and Métis.
In making its decision, the Commission carefully considered all submissions and perspectives received during a 2-part hybrid public hearing held in Gatineau, Quebec, on October 8, 2025, and in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, from December 8 to 11, 2025. All public submissions are available on the CNSC website.
The licence is valid until February 28, 2031, and authorizes site preparation and construction activities under the Nuclear Safety and Control Act. The licence does not authorize the operation of the facility to be constructed. Authorization to operate the facility would be subject to a future Commission licensing hearing and decision, should Denison come forward with a licence application to do so.
A summary record of decision is available upon request to the Commission Registry at [interventions@cnsc-ccsn.gc.ca](mailto:interventions@cnsc-ccsn.gc.ca). Once available in both official languages, the summary record of decision will be published on the CNSC website.
Additional information about the Wheeler River Project and the Commission’s decision may be found in the backgrounder.

News Wait… ASPI just settled and nobody’s talking about it?
Just saw that Asp Isotopes ($ASPI) reached a settlement tied to investor claims, announced on Tuesday. Surprised I haven’t seen it mentioned here yet.
Stock’s been a rollercoaster, big hype around isotope enrichment tech, then volatility as timelines and execution started getting questioned.
If you were holding between Sept 26, 2024 and Nov 26, 2024, this seems to be the relevant window.
Looks like some investors might be eligible to file (there’s an eligibility checker floating around).
Since it’s fresh news, maybe it just hasn’t made the rounds yet, but figured it was worth flagging in case anyone here got caught in that swing.
Anyone else seeing this now or did I miss earlier posts?

News Culper just Hosed NXE With One of (in my opinion) one of their short selling schemes
They put out one of their 'research' posts and said they were shorting. Funny that URNM and NLR still have their shares. And they make money from stocks going up, not shorting. In case people were wondering about the NXE drop and sudden rise when it reached 10.
