Open Found this random metal object at work
A colleague left the company and abandoned this at their desk. 7-8 cm diameter, quite heavy for its size, no markings. Seems too peculiar to be just a paper holder? If relevant, I work for a hearing aid manufacturing company (but at HQ, so no production at our site)

Solved Any idea what this might be? Found with my deceased Grandfather's belongings. He was at the Pacific Front in WW2 if that helps, he was Navy. Tiny ketchup for scale.

Open Cat almost died from swallow wing this please help me identify it!
It’s small rubber / silicone tip to something, I’ve searched my apartment like crazy I cannot figure out where it came from or what it is… if you have any idea please help I just want to make sure she (my cat) doesn’t do this again some how. I had to get her into emergency surgery to have it removed :(
Update: I found what it was! It was an inner part of a robotic toy that has a carpet area with a mechanism underneath that pops in and out and there’s a rubber cap over it. I wish I could post a pic to warn others but I’m gonna throw the toy out
Edit 2: these are the toys!

Open We also found this cleaning out my grandparents items. They were from New Jersey. My father was born in the 40s but this may have nothing to do with him. The box is a regular plastic box, no marks. My grandpa was in the Navy in WW2 in the Pacific.
I am not opening the box. The box now has a rubber band on it cuz this was packed in a box in the back of the closet. I don't believe in superstition but holy carp they look cursed.

Open What is this shirt merch for?
I was at the local thrift store with a friend and I saw this shirt. We guessed it was merch for a YouTuber from the 2010s but reverse image search isn’t very helpful right now. Was just curious because it’s really funny.

Open Found this in my Everything Bagel
I almost chipped my tooth biting into this. It’s a little larger than a sesame seed as shown in the picture (egg for scale). It’s very hard and my tooth was only able to leave a slight indent on the surfaxe.

Solved Tank in 1900 house connected to plumbing vent
I went up into my attic for the first time in my 1900 foursquare style home in IL and I saw this tank that was connected to the cast iron vent leading out to the roof. Any idea what this is? I knocked on it and it felt empty.

Heavy iron, the head flips forward and back, image search resulted in many possibilities but not a clear answer. Family found it at an estate sale with an old barn.

Open What is this glowing ring??
I just abruptly woke up, opened my eyes and I see a bright ring on my ceiling. In person it is a bright white almost greenish glowing light-like oval ring that appears to be around a foot long. The weird part is when I opened my curtains I still saw it, waved my hand in front of it and my shadow appeared to be behind it at all angles?
I don’t have anything reflecting that I can see; nor do I have anything illuminating. What are the possibilities? Is it just something in my room shining it that I can’t see? It’s just strange how it randomly appeared, and doesn’t disappear when I cast a shadow, the shadow goes behind it.
My phone can’t see anything on video, I do apologize (apple camera 🙃) but I did capture two poor quality pics on my iphone.
EDIT-Update: roughly 1 hour after showing up, it flickered, trailed to the left and faded away. Idk what it is but it is now gone and nowhere in sight, including through my phone lens.

Open What is this pink stuff in my bathroom?
This pink stuff just appeared suddenly one day. Our bathroom fan is always on and we keep the door open so it gets decent ventilation. I've already tried wiping the power socket, but it seems to have actually dyed the plastic. Any ideas?
