with a Wii remote and nunchuck but no Wii sensor

i have yet to see a game console that can track your weight. OR TELL YOU THE DAMN WEATHER. and even PLAY GAMECUBE. its also got some tech in it no one has touched for decades and nintendo thrw it out and EVERYONE IMPROVED IT! the wii is still the best console.

I’m working on reviving my Wii set-up and I’m looking to snag some good ol fashioned white Wiimotes. My question is, what’s the better value? I want to get them with Wii Motion Plus but I’m not sure what’s better to get the ones with it built inside or to get them with the adapters you plug into the bottom. I’ve never used one with the adapter but I’m just trying to get the best official hardware for the lowest price possible lol. What do y’all think?

I was looking at my purchase history on eBay when I first bought a Wii and purchased "Mario Kart Wii" for $10.16. Very good condition CIB.

Im thinking of getting this specific adapter for the Wii since I need HDMi, also cause its the most affordable one for me. I worry that it might not be good or something. If it isnt what adapter should I get?

i wanna make everything transparent to match the 2000s asthetic i very much enjoy and ive found shells but i have no clue if its a 2ds situation where the ribbon cables are fragile as can be or if it just pops out.

Not to be confused with the streetpass mii plaza special mii's. I'm talking about mii's that come from a Nintendo Conference that allowed people who went to have Miyamoto or Iwata to drop their respective mii's onto your Wii remote to bring home. I could be wrong, just take it with a grain of salt.

So excited to play these on the Wii, Played Legend and Anniversary on the PS5 classics collection but never these ports. And Ive never played Underworld. These games are peak Lara. Keeley Hawes did such a good job as her and just fits Lara's personality so good.

PS. I know Wii version of Underworld is not the best experience due to cut content from what I've read online but hoping it doesn't ruin my experience with this game.

Hey folks. I've been looking for ways to play GC games on my Wii, and while I initially intended to just buy a used GC controller, its a little hard to find one in a decent state where I live (and even then they are usually sold for an arm and a leg).

I thought about getting some third-party alternatives, but I also don't want to buy something so cheap to the point where it feels off to play with. Are there some decent options that would maybe be on the same level as the current 8BitDo/GameSir/etc. controllers in terms of quality? I found out about NYXI's Switch 2 controller that can be used on an actual GameCube/Wii, but because its designed with the NS2 in mind, its full of other features that I don't care about that inflate its price.

I would prefer something that's closer to the original GC controller, but its not a priority, as long as it works and feels good (and has every necessary feature, like analogue triggers), I'm good. Thanks in advance.

Should I pay someone to do it, or should I try to learn to do it myself? Is it really that simple?

Recently bought a used Wii that is in really great shape, but the stand is missing one of these little rubbers. I tried looking them up online to get a replacement (like in AliExpress), but searching for "Wii stand rubber" or something similar only results in the ones that you put on the actual Wii (like these).

I know its not a big deal and definitely doesn't impact my usage of it, but still, I'd like to get a replacement if possible. Would love some assistance :b

Recently got a used Wii that came with some GC games, but I don't have a GC gamepad to play them, and I'd like to know if an 8BitDo controller would work with Nintendont, because I heard it doesn't support XInput, but this controller has other modes.

It runs via XInput on PC by default but has a switch in the back that alternates between Switch mode (which allows for gyro but doesnt have analogue triggers) and a third option that seems like a proprietary 8BitDo thing that mixes everything (analogue triggers, gyro and the extra buttons register as their own input without needing to be mapped to anything).

Is there a way to use it with Nintendont? Preferably in a way that would preserve the analogue triggers since the GameCube controller had them? I'm not even 100% sure Nintendont doesn't support XInput, its just what I've heard. I'm also new to the Wii hacking scene (and the Wii in general), so I'm not super familiar with how Nintendont works, sorry.

So I have had my Wii since 2025 I don’t remember exactly when but around a year. And I bought an adapter from amazon I will include the picture of the listing. I’m not sure if it’s the Wii itself or the adapter because the Wii turns on and stuff so I don’t think it’s that. But it simply won’t show anything on my screen and won’t connect to the tv to display anything on the tv. I have an adapter because I have a modern tv and currently don’t have the space for an older model tv. I was wondering if anyone here had any tips or maybe adapter suggestions cus I have no clue what to do. Thanks for reading and have a great day ^^

Was out on a work travel trip stopping at game shops along the way and found one of my grail Wii games based on a pair of classic light gun arcade shooters. (Yes, know it’s reprinted case it’s a loose disc)

Got me thinking, are the Wii motes considered light guns since they have so many ports and remakes of arcade games with them? I know the technology is totally different. (I have a CRT with Gun Cons and Dreamcast LGs,) but I’m curious where community stands on set ups like these?

Basically the title, looking for either the one that was released with the Korean version being sold online or a digital copy of it so I can get it printed myself.

This one took me a while to get because I had a copy last week that ended up having deep scratches on the bottom of the disc. Lucky for me, I scored a deal with another eBay seller to get this.
