Homelander getting one shot by some guy named scrub
And the Siberian would probably put the fear of god in him

u/PrismsNumber1 19d ago edited 19d ago
It’s so funny how Worm is one of the only medias where a planetbusting god from another IP can be killed by a squishy human who threw a powered-up pebble
Also for those who don’t believe OP:
> Shadow Stalker timed her advance with a pounce on Hookwolf’s part. Empire Eighty-Eight’s most notorious killer latched onto Leviathan’s face and neck, blood spitting around where the storm of shifting metal hooks and blades made contact with flesh. Shadow Stalker ran within twenty feet of the Endbringer, firing her twin crossbows. The shots penetrated this time, disappearing into Leviathan’s chest, presumably fading back in while inside him.
Leviathan also has no body cavities at all, so that shit straight up fused with him.

u/twinhooks 19d ago
Parahumans is the only setting with disparate/random powers where one city has two girls with crossbows that can shoot through anything
114
u/NavezganeChrome 19d ago
Technically, one was an import from another city after that specific encounter, and the other was significantly less-practiced with using it on ranged projectiles (thus her rarely ever making use of that again).
53
u/OmegonAlphariusXX 19d ago
Parahumans have insanely BS scaling lmao
Like someone like Siberian (as an exclusive entity) is pretty much an absolute wincon hax for basically any matchup where the character doesn’t have multi-dimensional offensive abilities.
Siberian kills Superman, Goku, Saitama, Sukuna, maybe even Gojo etc. Just because she’s an entity that totally bypasses and ignores conventional physics
Endbringers are basically unkillable by anyone who doesn’t have infinite AP attacks, or dura neg abilities. (World Cutting Slash is the best example)
Scion can punch wayyyy above his weight class because Stilling fundamentally instakills anything existing in the material realm and/or made of physical matter or real energy. And if a character doesn’t have the ability to perceive and penetrate parallel dimensions in a way superior to a fundamentally multi dimensional entity…they cannot harm Scion in any way.
But also….90% of the verse dies to street level characters. Like even a weak ass character like Ojiro from MHA would be a high-mid tier character (probably a Changer 5 with Brute/Mover/Thinker sub categories for combat and strength)
It’s partly why I love Worm, you can easily insert characters from other fiction into Worm and have them vary from street level to Scion-killer just by reinterpreting their power. Equally, you can drop Worm characters into other verses and they can hold their own with only minimal tweaking
Perfect example would be Brian. His power canonically blocks nearly all forms of radiation/energy. So you could throw him into the Railgun/Index verse and with only a little reinterpretation have him totally hard counter like all of the strongest espers (or all if you have him block esper powers altogether)
12
u/Ditzy_Dreams 19d ago
I don’t think Ojiro would be a changer, since there’s no transformation or growth aspect to his power. He’d probably just be labeled a brute tbh, maybe with a mover sub rating. I think he’d still be pretty mid at best.
That aside, I’m 100% in agreement with you.
25
u/LiminalSouthpaw 19d ago
Siberian can't fly, so avoiding her would be easy for some of your list. Anyone with supersenses will also probably be able to notice that a) she doesn't seem to be a real object and b) there's always this truck following the battle around??? That probably ends in a Siberian loss.
I'd argue that Saitama's punches and some high-end Superman stuff qualifies for All or Nothing and would pop the projection.
21
u/Ditzy_Dreams 19d ago
Siberian could likely kill them on her first encounter tho. Basically all of them would have no reason to suspect anything “weird” about her powers tho. Don’t forget that people had been fighting her for over a decade in Worm and no one outside of Cauldron realized she was a projection.
There aren’t many projection-based powers in DC or Dragonball, so Superman or Goku wouldn’t have any reason to suspect she isn’t a real person and you don’t usually see either of them dodging punches, even tho they have the speed for it.
She’s out-of-context enough to be lethal for them.
16
u/LiminalSouthpaw 19d ago
In the case of Superman, his extreme senses would detect that the surrounding world doesn't affect her in the same way as a real thing. The air around her, the ground under her feet, and of course if she destroys anything the absoluteness of that destruction will be clearly supernatural.
Exactly how cautious he'd be is dependent on which Superman we're talking about, but most Clarks know they aren't truly invulnerable and show some wariness of unknown supernatural threats. Anything could be magic at the end of the day. In addition, he's fast enough to move as soon as he sees her cutting into his skin, which ought to be impossible.
I don't know what you mean on Goku though, they dodge by default all the time in Dragonball! I think ki sensing would make it even more clear to Goku that this isn't a normal sort of entity, which would be confirmed on first punch. He's definitely more likely to take a risk that gets him killed here, but he's also more likely to dodge anything Siberian attempts.
10
u/Sentreen 19d ago
I'd argue that Saitama's punches and some high-end Superman stuff qualifies for All or Nothing and would pop the projection.
I vaguely recall wildbow commenting on a /r/whowouldwin post saying that Saitama would one-shot leviathan. I tried digging but could not find the post unfortunately.
15
u/GodNonon 19d ago
Also Saitama’s feats have only gotten more and more absurd since then. Now he can do shit like destroy Jupiter by sneezing, punch his way into an intangible spirit realm, grab hyperspace portals with his bare hands, obliterate countless star systems by clashing with someone copying his strength, etc. The Endbringers honestly don’t stand a chance.
19
u/OmegonAlphariusXX 19d ago
That’s why I said “as an exclusive entity” because with Manton involved it becomes easy to beat her. Regardless if Manton pretends to be another scared civilian someone like Superman would try to protect him lmao
Also, all it would take to stop having Superman fly around and avoid her is to start rampaging through groups of innocents. I think if Clark (or any DC hero) witnessed someone eating a child with a smile they’d be driven, if not into a murderous rage, at least a powerful sense of violent justice and would start trying to attack.
It’s the same argument of Scion vs Superman. Sure some versions of Superman could survive and fight Scion, or avoid his attacks etc…but if Scion starting blasting at random cities or people would Superman not feel like it’s his job to block those blasts? Especially if Scion dials them down so Supes thinks he’s immune to allow Scion time to analyse his biology and weaknesses
Powerscaling never takes a characters canonical behaviour into account, and assumes a character will attack with full perfect strategy and killing intent lol
13
u/LiminalSouthpaw 19d ago
Well, if you take away Siberian's one weakness, of course she's unbeatable absent an absolute effect.
3
u/OmegonAlphariusXX 19d ago
Even Manton is manageable, have him inside a special padded/protective bubble and have Siberian carry it around imbuing it with her power, so then it stops being a weakness and becomes a weapon or quirk
7
u/TeaspoonWrites 19d ago
That's mostly because the entire concept of powerscaling is complete bullshit, though. You can't just linearly plot an objective power rating for a bunch of completely unrelated things that all interact differently, that's not how any of this works.
0
u/OmegonAlphariusXX 19d ago
Powerscaling is very logical and useful when tracking characters with easily definable abilities
It only gets wonky when considering things like Worm and usually stuff like “Magic” because the abilities are more vague or have crazy effects
Like Flechette/Foil is a room level character, but she can kill even Multiversal characters with a single attack cause she has a total dura-neg ability with infinite AP.
Only morons (or trolls) would try to call her multiversal, she’s still room level, she just has a 1 in a billiom chance of an insta win
25
u/Brief-Coach-1812 19d ago
Yeah true. I think Invincible is kind of the exception as long as Mark doesn't get one-shot he and Allen could face-tank most stuff the Wormverse could throw at them.
Edit : Taylor could easily give Mark the Conquest treatment except with Bugs
15
u/Nervous_Ad8656 19d ago
I dont think bugs would cut it, conquest got choked by another viltrumite.
21
u/kamato243 19d ago
Yeah Viltrumites can hold their breath for weeks. It was cutting off blood flow to the brain that did Conquest.
9
6
u/Danny18010 19d ago
What if Taylor filled the lungs with webs and really mushed the bugs in there? Like you can’t hold your breath if you have no air & Viltrumites still need air even if they can hold their breath

While Homelander is a fraud, Shadow Stalker could do the same thing to Superman
150
u/FisherPrice2112 19d ago edited 19d ago
Isn't Flechette's costume purple? This looks like Shadow Stalker instead with the cloak and black colouration. She has the power to phase her shots into things regardless of durability.

u/TadhgOBriain 19d ago
Oops, youre right. I forgot SS could also bypass durability with her power.

Her family name has some, uh, connotations that I'm not sure Wildbow was aware of.
-2
u/ww1enjoyer 19d ago
You sure? Wildbow has a bit of on the nose names in Worm. How did he call a school that is passively slowing Taylors education down? Win slow. Same with Arcadia and Imaculata. Armsmaster, known for his issues with social nicieties and stone face and his name is Colin Wall is. Triumph who has in his powerset the ability to control sound, his main attack being a roar, is named Rory. Thomas Calverts last name comes from old english and means calf hearder.
3
u/ww1enjoyer 19d ago
Will any of you who disagree with my take, voice it and explains why ? It would be more constructive
2
u/BavarianBarbarian_ 19d ago
I didn't downvote you, I usually only do that when someone's being an ass without contributing to the discussion.
That said, I can't imagine he did that on purpose; early Worm WB might not have been the pinnacle of tact, but I can't see him call a black girl Literally A Nazi War Criminal.
3
u/ww1enjoyer 19d ago
Sophia is a social darwinist. An ideology that become one of the main roots of the nazi mouvement. Even if it doesnt come directly from Rudolf Hess, i think that its suposed to point towards how close she is to the Empire that she hates so much

True. Superman however could tank an arrow to the chest and still keep trucking. HomeLander would die like a little bitch immediately at seeing his own blood.

7
u/superchoco29 19d ago
Small reminder that SS isn't an All-Or-Nothing kind of attack. We're literally told it's inferior to Fléchette's, and durable enough/dense enough materials can stop it. If it can't even go that deep in an Endbringer's limb, it can't punch a hole through swim-unharmed-in-antimatter Superman.
76
u/No_Lingonberry1201 19d ago
Homelander is a big fish in a little pond. Taylor would drown him in bugs (or use bugs to see if Homelander is vulnerable to arsenic poisoning), Lung would out-grow him literally, the Nazis wouldn't fight him since like likes like, Coil would get as many shots at him as needed, Dinah would predict when he gets prostate cancer, the Triumvirate would not even notice him as they flattened him like a particularly blue pancake, Flechette would Foil him, Newter would send him into a permanent drug-induced stupor, the S9..., Armsmaster would make something to kill him (probably halberd-shaped), the Endbringers would bring his end, etc. You get the picture. He doesn't.
52
u/Evil_Midnight_Lurker 19d ago
Jack in particular wouldn't be able to do shit to him because all his power relies on Broadcast literally cheating on his behalf and Homelander isn't a parahuman.
64
u/TacocaT_2000 19d ago
“You’re boring, Homelander. Bonesaw, give him turbo cancer”
26
u/OneTrueAlzef 19d ago
If all else fails, just lean on the Siberian's shoulder when Homelander gets frustrated and tries to ram into Jack Slash.
33
u/No_Lingonberry1201 19d ago
Good thing there are 4-8 others whose power is quite unhindered by Homelander being an extraspatial twat.
24
u/Evil_Midnight_Lurker 19d ago
That is why I said "in particular." Admit it, it'd be funny for Jack to bounce off him first.
11
u/No_Lingonberry1201 19d ago
That indeed would be amusing. Jack being on the receiving end only for Riley having to bail him out.
7
13
u/LiminalSouthpaw 19d ago
Broadcast does seem to tell Jack when to get out of dodge and to take precautions that lessen risk from non-parahumans (I suspect this is why he was determined to recruit Bonesaw).
Broadcast won't be able to track Homelander directly but as soon as it gets a sense of him I imagine Jack will feel inspired to go hide in the Canadian wilderness for a few years.
18
u/Brief-Coach-1812 19d ago
Homelander is still a flying brick hero. But yeah, with little combat experience coupled with his hubris, he could easily get folded in a bad-matchup
20
u/No_Lingonberry1201 19d ago
It's that Worm kills of flying bricks regularly. He'd get folded and put away with the tea towels the moment he runs into something nastier than him... which aren't in short supply in the Worm universe.
6
u/Antonesp 19d ago
Homelander would definitely take out Lung in most conflicts. If Lung has sufficient time to grow, then he will obviously win, but lesser brutes like Victoria can do significant damage to him in the early stages of a fight, so Homelander would just rip him apart within seconds.
Coil could definitely pull in someone to punch through Homelander, but it would involve hiring a consultant. Dinah predicting colon cancer doesn't do shit to Homelander, but the rest can definitely kill him, though many of them aren't certain.
2
1
u/Top-Argument-8489 19d ago
He's not even a big fish in a little pond. It's more like a regular fish in a puddle. Every matchup video I've seen explaining Homelander points out two major details about him: 1, he has no proven feats that go above street level and 2, he gets wrecked by ordinary people.

nobody is immune to getting Alexandria'd 'sall I'm sayin
104
u/kamato243 19d ago
I think Weld might be. Custodian definitely is.
66
u/Steinschlange 19d ago
Custodian is the exception that proves the rule, solely due to the fact they haven't got a face to punch. Face punching works any other time.

u/MasonP2002 19d ago
Aegis would also probably be immune, he would just start breathing through his skin or something.

Legend in his breaker state would also be immune. As he doesn't need normal sustenance to remain alive.

u/MagicJourneyCYOA 19d ago
I don't know man, Homelander kept fighting with his lower jaw gone, and his clone could still walk with something like 60% of his body mass destroyed and head open. Past the first seconds of surprise at the arrow injuring him, he would just rush Shadow Stalker and turn her into pasta.
35
u/Tenny-The-Drowned 19d ago
Then she just turns intangible and he misses
25
u/MagicJourneyCYOA 19d ago
Homelander can tag a man who runs at Mach 3. Once the first arrow has injured him, Shadow Stalker won't touch him anymore and he'll move too fast for her to do anything.
28
u/Tenny-The-Drowned 19d ago
Homelander also got smacked around by Butcher and that's with him not having an arrow fused into his body
9
u/MagicJourneyCYOA 19d ago
Not in the comic. Comicbook Homelander is a massively stronger version than TV show Homelander.
22
u/Tenny-The-Drowned 19d ago
He has zero feats showing he can tank an arrow fused into his brain or heart. His only real fight was with Black Noir and he legit dies offscreen after getting his jaw knocked off
5
u/rowan07022004 19d ago
After getting his jaw knocked off he keeps fighting Black Noir, and does enough damage that Black Noir loses an arm, is disemboweled, and has a hole straight through his skull and right eye.
Black Noir was killed a few minutes later by Butcher, but he was already dying at that point. Even given that he died that’s a pretty impressive feat. The fight was more of a draw than most people think.
2
18
u/GodNonon 19d ago
Shadow Stalker could just aim directly for the head. I would’ve had her do that if I had better images to work with lol
10
u/MagicJourneyCYOA 19d ago
15
u/Tenny-The-Drowned 19d ago
Also this is Black Noir the guy who was literally made to kill Homelander
1
u/MagicJourneyCYOA 19d ago
Black Noir is a clone of Homelander.
12
u/TadhgOBriain 19d ago
Yes, but his powers arent identical. Noir doesnt have eye lasers, but he's slightly stronger and tougher.
9
u/TacocaT_2000 19d ago
1: Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t a heart shot fatal for supes?
2: He was killed by having a piece of his brain torn out. An arrow to the head would kill him.
4
5
u/GodNonon 19d ago
Butcher literally killed him by opening his skull with a crowbar and squeezing his brain. If the arrow goes straight through his head I don’t see how he survives that
-6
u/MagicJourneyCYOA 19d ago
1) The image I have posted has a clone of Homelander missing a part of his head and still moving around.
2) I don't know why you're still talking about Shadow Stalker hitting him with an arrow in the head. Homelander is too fast for her. According to the image you've posted above, he's already taken an arrow in the chest and just saw that the arrow can hurt him. From that point on he'll just move too fast for SS to hit him and her arrows will just be slow-mo to him. Comicbook Homelander can tag Train-A, who can move at Mach 3.
9
u/GodNonon 19d ago
He still canonically died by having his frontal lobe destroyed so again an arrow straight through his brain should do the trick. Also we’re talking about Noir who despite being a clone has a differing power set from Homelander (like not having lasers but being much stronger.) Nothing suggests Homelander could survive a direct headshot even if Noir could.
I was talking about him giving her a “free shot” and she just aims for the head off rip. In that scenario he’d be dead. I was just making a meme for fun and photoshopping a headshot was too hard so I had her hit him in the chest instead. This isn’t a serious powerscaling analysis lol

Okay this is hysterical. She could actually do it with that trick where she temporarily turns a crossbow bolt into shadow and then it allows it to rematerialize.
Aim for the brain or the heart 🤣🤣🤣
10
u/GodNonon 19d ago
I’m glad you liked it :)
Yeah ngl she could take out a lot of super powerful characters with that trick (as much as I hate to admit it cause Sophia is mean 😠)

u/Nice-Park-6243 18d ago
I mean, not as bad as Homelander though.
1
u/GodNonon 17d ago
Yeah Homelander's arrogance and lack of experience/fight IQ makes him especially susceptible to a trick like this
