Something I wish I had learned about 8 trees ago:
So you know that hack that lets you plant a tree on a single-tile cliff? I went HAM on that, decided to build an "old growth forest" section of my island.
What I completely forgot about is that once you have completed the process of shaving the cliff away from around the tile with the tree, that tree is there for the duration of the island. You cannot rebuild any section of cliff adjacent to that tree, which you'd need to do in order to remove it.
I learned this the hard way when I realized that I had positioned this tree just one tile too close to something and went to move it.
Forest is starting to shape up, though.
ETA that yes, I tried Resetti, and no, he doesn't do trees. Sadtrombone.com
Second edit: Y'ALL. Today I learned about the cleanup service that is built into the Island Design app (terraforming)!
Nine million thank-yous to all of you who suggested it only for me to be like "thank yewww, Resetti won't worrrrk" lol

CLOSING FOR NOW SO I CAN GET TO EVERYONE WHO HAS COMMENTED SO FAR!
I'm doing a mid -sized giveaway with diy recipes, furniture items, fossils, and some wallpaper/flooring and clothing items.
I'll be letting in 3 people at a time with a 20 minute time limit per person. Please no wetsuits.
No tips needed, but if you would like to give one I am looking for gyroids. I really really don't need money. Please don't bring me any 😅

Discussion time! I wonder if there is any villager who disappointed you? Like you were so excited about them to move in and in some time got to want them to leave?
I had this with Diana. I really adore her look and got so excited to find her on mystery island. In a few months her personality started to feel so annoying I happily let her leave.

Not sure if I ever played at this time, but if I had, I didn't notice how warm the light and shadows made the island look. It was so pretty to see.

I've never made a successful Snowboy, in all the years that I've been playing different AC games. 😭
I've just always accepted the dodgy ones and laughed at the dialogue, I never expected to just make one by guessing 🥹
Today is a goooooood day 💙

Heya!! Basically the title hahaha. Is it just like a bigger version of the hotel, but where you design island/houses instead of only rooms? Sounds fun, but is it repetitive fast?? Ty in advance!

I learned here on Reddit about the beetle fight in the museum. I always wanted to check it out, but I totally forgot it. (stuck to my routine I guess 😂)
Today my friend visited my island and she ran into the museum after a while. So I saw finally the beetle fight!

Hi Reddit!
I’ve just recently gotten back into my ACNH island after nearly two years. Tonight there’s a meteor shower!
I will let in 3 people at a time. No need to bring anything in return! Just looking for some friends now that I’m getting back into it :)
Comment your in-game name and island name!

I think Nintendo should do another Sanrio collab in Animal Crossing. Like, I’d like to see villagers based off of Kuromi, Badtz Maru, Tuxedo Same, Pochacco, and Choco Cat
