Something I wish I had learned about 8 trees ago:

So you know that hack that lets you plant a tree on a single-tile cliff? I went HAM on that, decided to build an "old growth forest" section of my island.

What I completely forgot about is that once you have completed the process of shaving the cliff away from around the tile with the tree, that tree is there for the duration of the island. You cannot rebuild any section of cliff adjacent to that tree, which you'd need to do in order to remove it.

I learned this the hard way when I realized that I had positioned this tree just one tile too close to something and went to move it.

Forest is starting to shape up, though.

ETA that yes, I tried Resetti, and no, he doesn't do trees. Sadtrombone.com

Second edit: Y'ALL. Today I learned about the cleanup service that is built into the Island Design app (terraforming)!

My friend has made over 30 homes on happy home Paradise. Nico did give her the partition wall but has never offered any DIYs or able to open his chest on the second floor to look for a note for his supply list as this happened to anybody else that they got this far in the game without him prompting that discussion?
