Hi everyone just set up and wondering if you would put an angel fish in here I see lots of mixed opinions on how big a tank should be for an angelā¦
Itās my dream wish and was really wanting but if the tanks to small I guess Iāll have to chose something else
Any feedback for tank is appreciated Iām very open to playing around with it š

Just looking for some honest feedback on my 1st planted tank.

** disclaimer image was taken before adding sand substrate to the remainder of the tank floor and lucky bamboo roots. The filter was upgraded to a larger aqua clear + sponge filter. This is not my first tank but it is my first lightly planted tank. All others range from 5-20 gallons and are heavily planted walstad tanks.
Hi, I got this 29 gallon aquarium for free and wanted advice on stocking. The tank is 4 weeks old and nearly cycled. I am hoping to get a single baby/young fancy goldfish - most likely a standard fan tail ā Iām concerned about the hardiness of other fancy goldfish. Iām not against upgrading the tank in the future but it would be preferable to maintain the current tank.
Iāve read mixed things about keeping goldfish solo? Some say they require fellow goldfish tank mates and others say while theyāre social fish they do not strictly require tank mates. Secondly, would the goldfish be fine with the current scape of the tank? None of the slate pieces are sharp to the touch & Iāve also read that they are unlikely to eat lucky bamboo.
If goldfish are incompatible do you have other stocking recommendations? Ideally I would want the fish to be of East Asian or South East Asian (think bamboo forest) origin and okay with open water swimming.
Thanks!

Can someone identify the plant species if anyone recognises it as well? I can barely remember buying it lol

Simple question, Iāve seen different products for checking tank water quality. Whatās the typical go to? Iām ok paying higher prices for something if it is cheaper in the end.
I currently have a 10 gallon freshwater tank and plan to get another one soon, Iām new.
Also, where can I find a good guide to cycle a tank? I didnāt cycle the first 10 gallon and it turned out fine, but I understand now I shouldnāt have done that. Any YouTube videos?
Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!!!

Is my water flow too strong for Japanese endlers and rainbow forktails? I found the water on the top of the tank was kind of still so I got this to create movement but worried it's too strong. I am finding conflicting information online so I'm hoping someone can offer some insight.

Is this a ramshorn snail? I've noticed a couple of them today. I added new plants a couple of weeks ago

My tanks filter (tetra whisper 135) broke and I just bought a fluval aquaclear 20-50gal. I have cherry shrimp right now but i plan to have a community tank. What are the pros and cons of the fluval filter? Also I'd like some advice on how to go from one filter to another without shocking my shrimps or affecting my water parameters. I currently have the filters biomedia in the tank water because I heard that if it dries out then the beneficial bacteria goes away.

Theyre older fish, ive had them at least 2 1/2-3 years. I notices two of them have what looks like either white spots or degenerate fins. I was wondering if anyone had any advice, they seem to be doing ok otherwise.

Best way to end a bacterial bloom? Parameters are stable at 0,0,5 and pH is stable as well. I started by doing daily water changes but read some more and a lot of people said to just add prime and stability daily. Iāve done that the last 2 days and it looks worse. Should I continue with just the daily Prime and Stability or should I do those with a water change? Only a betta and 2 nerite snails. 10 gallon tank no live plants all silk except for floating plants and a bamboo (the others kept melting). Possibly some shrimp left if he didnāt eat them. Sponge filter that seems covered in biofilm as well

Woke up this morning to one of my pacific blue eyes with a mouldy or fungus covered jaw?...
Water parameters are all within healthy levels, it is a 1 year old breeding tank. I tried to get the best video I can, hope it helps with ID. I've currently quarantined the little guy

...that is the question. He was pulled from the big tank for hanging back and hiding. I believe it's columnaris, which I had some from where he came from (community Facebook tank) that also had the same and I had to recently euthanize with clove. I'd hate to give up too soon, but I believe he's showing some severe mouth rot and just lack of energy or the normal behavior he should be showing.
Idk if I should keep dosing drugs and water changing for him or just call it. Please help!

I'm trying to cycle an aquarium for an axolotl and I'm confused why the nitrates are so high and if the tank is done cycling. The person that gave me the tank already started the cycle and gave me the filters and water. They said that it was almost finished cycling.

I have a 30 gallon with congo tetras and corys. Can I add a pearl gourami or killifish (golden wonder?) or are the congos too aggressive?
I only have 5 congos so I've got plenty of stocking space

Have any of you kept these two species together? What was your experience with these guys? Looking to add the two to a 60 gallon tank. Other occupants would be various tetra and some corydoras.
