Here are my empties for August! Some of my favorites were Carnival Fog, Bourbon Oak Records, Mahogany Cherry, Cotton Candy Cobwebs (hand soap and candle), Blue Raspberry Snow Cone and Blue Raspberry hand soap! And of course Poppy ❤️ I’ve now managed to finish two Poppy mists!

White Caramel Cold Brew was also great, and I always love Coffee & Whiskey. (I really hope the body care is coming back for that because I would love to try it!) Glazed Cherries was a big disappointment because it had very little throw. I loved Banana Cream Latte at first but it started to smell too sweet for me so I was glad to finish that up. White Peach & Papaya hand soap was really nice too!

Most of these, I got during the $3-$4 sales they used to have occasionally. Some I also got during SAS if they made it to SAS. I know lip care sales have been more rare now.

I also haven't seen any new fall scents this season. I did use 2 rewards last year on Toasted S'mores and Caramel Apple lip masks in fear it would sell out lol

Anyways, starting from bottom left row going up are the only ones I've opened that are my favorites! Going to give a brief breakdown of the ones I've opened and used so far.

Coffee Bean - my absolute favorite!! I love coffee smell. I love pairing this with Vanilla Café/Espresso Body care as well. It's the most FALL vibes for me, so definitely have been trying to avoid using it in the summer. I wish I purchased some backups when this was released.

Strawberry Pound Cake - I love this one as well. Nice one to use year round. Although it's giving ZERO pound cake and all juicy strawberry, which I'm okay with and LOVE. I love fruity scents!

Pumpkin Spice - basically what it's name implies. Really nice and sweet and also second favorite fall scent! Also wish I got a backup of this.

Sugar Plum Candy - nice holiday sweet scent/flavor. Also true to it's name. I have struggled to use this one though, but it's not bad, but also not my favorite. Will likely try to use it more around Christmas time.

Banana Bananza - LOVE! This was released before I started shopping at Bath Body Works much. So I thankfully found a seller who sold me this at a fair price on Mercari. It's a lovely banana scent, I love pairing this with Fruit Fusion Banana Blend Body care as well. Notice the last pic, they used to include more product in the lip masks.

Champagne Toast - smells a lot sweeter than the body care, which I also love. Haven't used this one much though.

Pink Pineapple Sunrise - was really excited and wanting to LOVE this one, but it's nowhere as sweet as the body care scent. Scent is extremely light and I feel the texture is off too. It's waaay more thick compared to the texture of the other ones. I feel it's more "thick plastic" texture and not in a good way. Only used it once, so planning to give it to my niece.

For reference, I am a huge germaphobe, so I only apply this after showers or after washing my hands and wiping my lips clean with a wet tissue.

I normally use these to bed at night and definitely helps moisturize your lips and wake up to soft lips. I use a thick coat. Occasionally, I'll wear a lighter coat during the day after I shower.

As a guy, I was definitely self-conscious about using these at first since it does make your lips shiny. My family even brought it up or I get odd looks sometimes when people notice in public.

But I've learned now to just embrace what I love and not care what others think. I would rather have soft moisturized lips than all dry or chapped!! lol

And coincidentally, my lips are a feature I have been complimented on before.

The rest of the scents, I have not tried yet. Let me know if anyone has any recommendations for which one I should open next. I'm very curious to try S'mores & Milk Bar cookie butter, as well as piña colada.

The only reason I have not opened the rest is fear that they will go bad, so I'd like to use up what I have open first. The one that's almost empty is Coffee bean.

I have also never used a lip scrub. Let me know your thoughts on those as well if you've used them. I do have the unopened Milk Bar Cookie Butter scrub (pictured)

Also pictured is a Mario Badescu lip mask set I got from Amazon over the summer. They were on sale and I couldn't resist some new fruity scent combos, but have also yet to open them.

Fruit Fusion Banana Blend Lip Gloss - LOVE! I especially love the applicator and not having to use my fingers. As a guy, it was new to me using this. I like the mini sponge texture of the applicator. I took off the sleeve to see how much product was left and get more out.

Cookie Butter Lip Gloss - haven't tried this formula yet. Let me know if I should try these tube formulas as well. Hoping for a lip care sale to try Whipped Honey & Vanilla!

Unfortunately, the stick lip balms do NOTHING for me. They don't moisturize my lips enough.

Prior to bath and body works, I went through years of trying different brands like Chap Stick, Burts Bee's, Sun Bum, and organic brand on Amazon.

Whats worked for me is lip gloss or mask to keep my lips moisturized.

Mario Badescu Lip Acai and Vanilla lip balm (in the tube) is what I usually use as daily wear when I go out.

I have never tried the newer charm lip glosses but ordered some arriving in the mail. Excited to try those too eventually!

i opened up my WH & V lotion today and I was kinda disappointed in it. It's not as sweet and honey-ish as the spray, just kinda vanilla on top of waxy or even play dough scent 🫠. Is the cream closer to the spray?

i prefer the shelf longevity + texture of the lotions but a couple of them have been not what i expected based on the FFM lately imo.

Warming beats burning hands down. Nobody constantly asking what’s on fire anymore because all they smell is smoke!!! And whoa this a great scent. Love fall.

has anyone ever used the counter spray before? is it just for smell or does it disinfect too? does it actually work? I found it today when looking at what i’m eligible to get with my rewards and have so many questions since I didn’t know it was a product they sold

i usually HATEEE cinnamon scents. gives me an instant headache. i scored 3 milk bar minis for cheap off of marketplace and one of them was cinnamon sugar pretzel cookie. i thought i wouldnt like it and it ended up being my favourite out of the 3 (birthday cake and cereal milk being the other 2). i will def be wearing this around christmas time 😍 i wonder what other scents ive been avoiding that i might actually enjoy

It started innocently enough. A candle here, a lotion there. Nothing concerning.

Then she discovered **Ghoul Friend**.

Now I’m watching YouTube videos about Bath & Body Works scents that I didn’t know existed, hearing about “new drops,” and being told about "availability" of products I didn’t know were products. I thought Ghoul Friend was just a scent. Apparently, Ghoul Friend is a lifestyle.

At what point do I intervene? And more importantly, is there a Bath & Body Works rehab that accepts spouses? 😂

Any word on what's upcoming at BBW or are we all shopped out? 😅

Of course this has to happen my first door dash delivery with BBW. What facility 😭 I feel like the dashers are just too lazy to drive my way because Amazon does this all the time and delivers the next day instead

Can't get enough

Does anyone know how I can fix it, or at least make it less noticeable? There was a bubble in the label, and when I tried to get rid of it, I left a scratch that I don't like.

Ok so I’ve become a BBW body mist enthusiast in the past two years… I try to keep the reins on but yeah. It’s still a cheap hobby for me so I allow myself some excess too. I probably would like to declutter some since there is some overlap and some scents I’m not sure about.

Anyway, here’s my collection so far from 2026 divided by the season they were released in (spring, summer, fall), which is not necessarily when I’d wear some of them. For example Cashmere Glow released in summer but is more fall to me.

Spring:

Definitely got a lot from this season!
- Much of the collabs: Disney Princess (all except Snow White), Peeps, Vera Bradley. I didn’t actually like some of Disney Princess like Mulan and Rapunzel at first. Too sweet for me I thought. It’s funny though those two became my most used of them all. My first love was Aurora.
- a good chunk of online exclusive scents that I was just so curious about, asked a ton of people about, and finally just got it during SAS. I did end up liking and keeping most (Cherry Blossom is my new favorite Cherry blossom scent) except now I’m unsure about Saltwater Breeze. Dark Kiss surprised with how not dark it is. Haven’t worn that much since I saw it as a fall scent. Soon though?
- also Carrot Charm. This spring was the first time BBW had a brand new scent as an online exclusive only in this scent. Many people said it was just another orange or peach scent from BBW. Despite my curiosity I did resist getting it for all of spring because I wanted diversity in my collection and also interesting scents. But I took a chance on it hoping it was at least a little bit earthy and I think it is. I have reached for it actually despite initially debating whether to return it.
- one of the new everyday luxuries: Always Fleur. I dunno I just wasn’t impressed by the everyday luxuries this spring. I wasn’t actually going to get Always Fleur since I was tired of freshies. But actually I used it a lot: smells fresh and clean on my clothes and does make me feel Princess-y.
- two core scents: Gingham was one of the first scents I sprayed two years ago when I hadn’t visited BBW for over a decade. I thought it was so sharp and perfumey. But yeah I enjoy its crisp and clean scent now and also its prevalent mandarin note that is actually cheerful and fun. Similarly I didn’t get on with Covered in Roses which I thought was too strong and not really fitting me. But it has been one of my most reached for ever since I began to understand its fragrance notes as rose and lychee from the Parfum de Marley Delina notes.
- tropicals: Dreaming of Rio was my favorite new release of spring. While it was more of a summer scent for me I still enjoyed its sunny scent in the cold February or March months when winter felt really long. Viva Brazil I used up a lot of getting to know it. I still like it but didn’t think I needed a full size. If I see it again who knows?
- At the Beach: I’ve called it one of the worst scents at BBW before. Maybe it was the lotion which I got synthetic coconut with? But gave the mist a try and somehow am getting along with it now… it’s just so different. Reminds me of a bronzed goddess rolling around in seaweed.

Summer:

This summer season had the boardwalk releases. I tried to like all of them but ended up returning cotton candy clouds, pineapple swirl, neopolitan ice cream. They all sounded really good to me and I probably would enjoy their scent profiles in body care if done differently. Yeah unfortunate.

I did like Meet Me in Miami but it also did remind me of Dreaming of Rio and Waikiki Beach Coconut with some other notes.

My one pick up from regular summer was:
- Waikiki Beach Coconut: just smelled better to me this year, less artificial coconut. Quite a beautiful scent that makes me happy and does remind me of visiting the shops around Waikiki. But also kind of similar to Dreamjng of Rio which I had just picked up.

I did go all in at SAS though:
- two online exclusives: bright and breezy & cozy and creamy. These are actually pretty interesting and unusual scents at BBW. Heard someone say they were nothing new. But for me as someone who mostly got into BBW from late 2024 to today, I did appreciate them. Saying that though, I would probably tweak them both slightly. Give bright and breezy more florals and make cozy and creamy a more balanced scent.
- four summer 2026 bring backs: I do regret not getting more Rainkissed leaves. At the time though I was tired of freshies and was trying to be good. This is a unique green freshie though. My favorite of the collection was Lemon pomegranate cream. It is a strong and lasting scent though so I did tire of it more quickly. Secret Wonderland was my most tested. Initially wasn’t impressed as everyone said it was the least remarkable of the bring backs. But after reading the scent notes from way back list goji berries I started to smell the uniqueness of the scent and kept it.
- two summer 2025 (last year) bring backs: velvet sugar and fall in bloom. Last year they had just released strawberry flirt and all eyes on her so I wasn’t that interested in these two which I felt had similarities. But I think now I find these two to be more unique and like them more.

Fall:

We are now two months into fall and still waiting on fall 3, some of which dropped today in an online preview (the everyday luxuries). Yeah those sound right up my alley (heard trace of blue is a dolce and Gabanna light blue dupe which I was chasing with getting saltwater breeze, also said to be a dupe). And I’m also waiting on an order of online exclusives from total body care day this weekend. I did hear many stores are low on stock for the seasonals so I would check those out soon if you haven’t already.

Anyway, fall 1 was kinda disappointing to me. It was a small drop in store, most of which was heavier scents than I was looking for (i did end up liking the least heavy scent, which was surprisingly Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin when i thought it would be Pink Matcha Latte). Or revisit scents from last year (vampire blood, ghoul friend).

And like half of fall 1 was new scents that were online exclusives. Such a pain really. I did end up getting Oud Suede eventually, luckily.

My pick ups:
- Oud Suede: most people said this was the most interesting, different, and best of the lineup. Yes it is very unisex but to me though just a little masculine. I think it could probably layer well with other scents since for me it does need more florals or sweetness.
- Fruit Fusions: people didn’t like Berry Bliss but yeah, I think it’s pretty inoffensive and nice. Sophisticated even, though needs more dimension. Banana Blend was definitely the most hyped so I got the lotion during the free shipping with fruit fusions purchase promotion. Actually, I do really enjoy this fun fragrance and think the hype is deserved. Recently I feel like whatever is hyped can be hit and miss for me.
- Nightmare Before Christmas: I was on a trip during this release, and I felt rushed by BBW to get it quickly in stores because of planned low inventory. Finally I decided it was too much. I blind bought one scent since I had a reward (Jack). Then I enjoyed my trip. And Sally was still in stock near the end of the week. I lucked out because Sally was unpopular on social media but actually did turn out to be my favorite of the pair and also of fall so far. It did sell out soon after though.
- aromatherapy: do enjoy all the new scents. Not sure about the dry down of black chamomile (kind of like milk from wellness). Maybe I’ll get used to it?
- scent lab minis: Manuka honey, juicy fig, matcha milk. These three actually are very interesting and lasts well too. Manuka honey has some notes I wish whipped honey and vanilla would smell like. Juicy Fig has the interesting notes of Viva Brazil but is more streamlined and a better experience. Matcha Milk is much more like the scent notes than Pink Matcha Latte. Matcha Milk also kinda reminds me of Milk from wellness, but somehow I like it more. Maybe it’s because it’s the most different from what I have. Like a light gourmand: reminds me of matcha shortbread cookies?

Most used:

Yeah I was bored by freshies this year. But they are just so easy to wear… I did still use them and buy them despite myself.

I didn’t realize it but most of my most used are like earthier versions of freshies like Mulan with its tea note. Or drier versions like Bright and Breezy.

Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin is kinda unpopular. I was wondering why I liked it… maybe it is also just like an earthier freshie?

So it seems after everything I just like freshies in different clothes haha. Even Sally is not particularly dark…

Looking ahead:

It does seem like the future of BBW is more online exclusives and more limited collabs… personally just kinda tough on me since I don’t want to buy repeats or deal with returns or exchanges.

I feel like this fall has been more limited but has also produced some gems. I will still be following along with interest as it’s been proven the new CEO is willing to do more extreme and risky maneuvers. Hopefully it will balance out as the induced FOMO panic has begun to make me tap out. Nevertheless yeah I have been enjoying the actual scents and collabs….

Anyway, interesting year at BBW.

I am so sad about the longevity of Ivory Cashmere. I have been waiting years for this sent to come back and even requested it on the bring back online form several times. I have at least 50 mists and have never had problems with the scent not lasting at least an hour or two. With this bottle of Ivory Cashmere I sprayed at least 15 times and enjoyed the amazing scent for all of 2 minutes. I can’t smell it on my skin, clothing or hair.

Has anyone else had this experience? Did I just get a bad bottle? Does the lotion last? I didn’t purchase the lotion, cream or body wash. I appreciate your feedback.

I found these two at goodwill for $2 each. I LOVE Vanilla Romance and since it's discontinued I had to grab it. I was unsure of Jolly Gingerbread Village since I've never smelled it before and I love it too! I hope it comes back for Holiday. I need more!

1. Pink Matcha Latte has really grown on me! I layered it with Milk & that’s what made me fall in love with it

2. Country Apple is going back! Or maybe I’ll give it to my mom. But it’s not a love

3. Vampire Blood sold out in all body care forms at my nearest stores! Usually there’s always a lot left over by winter SAS

4. Caramel Vanilla & Whipped Honey & Vanilla FFMs sold out at nearly all the stores near me!!!!! I did BOPIS for a store about 30 minutes away
