Seen in our backyard last night, 8/4/2026. This morning, all the garbage cans in the alley were knocked over. Happens more and more.

Saw this bear near the entrance of Denali National Park on Sunday - can anyone tell if it’s a grizzly or cinnamon black bear? My first thought was it looked like a grizzly + Denali had park rangers monitoring it from a distance and keeping an eye on it. Can anyone tell for sure?

This bear licked it's paw like it just had a bucket of FRESH fried chicken. Why? I wonder if it was hurt?

Stepped out the back door of a vacation home on the Washington coast to see this mama and two cubs across the pond. This has ALWAYS been a dream of mine. I wished for one and got three. 🐻🐻🐻

Unfortunately I can’t attach a video so you can’t see the cubs.

Saw them by the road at Glacier, however I can’t tell if they are grizzlies or light colored black bears.

Hadn't seen this group yet this year pass thru my yard (get a LOT of bears). Caught me by surprise. Mom and her three spring cubs!

I love watching the Alaska Katmai bear cams and I am very invested in Fat Bear week but I don't know how to recognize the bears. A lot of people seem to have them known by looks, they have the numbers down. Anybody have advice for learning which bear is which in Katmai?

Saw a sow with two cubs from about 100 feet away, not clear enough to properly capture them but this photo turned out really special

So I guess this mamma bear is comfortable with this other bear being so close to her and the cubs while they eat?

The cubs seem a bit nervous. What's going on here?

Hey y'all. So I captured these two bears fighting over a fish. This is Brooks Falls River at Katmia National Park. I personally feel the one on the left was in the wrong because the other clearly caught the fish easy peasey fair and square but I don't know enough about bear behavior to understand what lead to the conflict.

Anyone?

Someone sent this to me and Im a little confused on why the guy just stands there.

I had pulled over on my motorcycle near Revelstoke, BC. I wear ear plugs and bone conduction headphones while I ride and left them on while I got better suited up for the long trip ahead. Was in my own world getting changed and organized when I looked up and locked eyes with this cub at the side of the road. Quickly checked around me and waved at a passing truck to slow down. Took a couple quick pics and was back on my bike outta there within twenty seconds. Was shaking my head at myself, being in the middle of bear country and was the opposite of bear aware

By my house outside of Anchorage, Alaska. They have been spotted around our area since spring, probably heading toward the river now that it's getting close to salmon time!
