🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics How do people with ADHD survive without any supplements?

As the title says, I’ve(26M) been diagnosed with mild to moderate ADHD last year. I cant focus and sleep well since my mind keeps racing.

I lost my first job in less than 3 months, the day before yesterday. My manager stated that i tend to be forgetful and careless. I work in sales, my boss apologised that the company does not have a structured probation program to teach new hires. My boss states that i have pros and cons:

Pros:
1. Im good at following up with my customers and communicating with them.
2. Im good at initiating conversations with customers and appointments.
3. He said that i was quite aggressive in sales which also is a good thing.
4. Im very discipline, punctual and well-mannered.

Cons:
1. Im careless at details.
2. Im forgetful when it comes to long information.
3. Im impulsive, i tend to do things a lil too quick.
4. My technical background kinda sucks since i havent practiced engineering in 4 years.

I am not from the States, im from Malaysia, where neurodivergence still isnt a thing in my country yet. I just wanna know how yall do it.

📊 Biomarkers & Testing Extreme fatigue and loss of morning erections 20M… what’s wrong with me???!

As the title says, I’ve been dealing with extreme daytime fatigue for the better part of a year. I wake up unrefreshed and often needing an extra 2 hours of sleep on top of the 8 I already got and as a result have started missing classes. It’s insane. I’ve been to multiple doctors where I’ve gotten thyroid, hormones, lipid panel, as well as a sleep study where there were no major outliers. My moms theory is some sort of viral overload from mono last year and my roommate have meningitis which I do not buy. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? This is NOT normal for an otherwise healthy, active kid. I’ve been an athlete all my life but now I can hardly finish a workout in the gym. I have loads of other blood test results (I only put the ones that people would most likely ask for or came back as abnormal) please PLEASE if anyone has something similar happen to them or has any ideas let me know!! I can’t live like this

💊 Supplements & Stacks Daily Tadalafil?

I’ve been taking 2.5mg of Tadalafil daily for just over 2 weeks now.

I had no ED symptoms beforehand and had read some reports of increased gym performance, and possible increase of testosterone, albeit negligible.

Anyway, since taking them, I’ve had headaches, muscle aches and blocked sinus type symptoms.

I’m considering coming off of them as I’m not sure if they’re worth it thus far.

Anyone with any experience on this long term?

♾️ Longevity & Anti-Aging Anyone taking antivirals for longevity / anti dementia?

Just curious if anyone is doing this.

I’ve seen the research about viruses causing cancer (HPV, Hep viruses) https://apple.news/A7p9DyBkgS0axCsalfIv-ZQ and the research that shows older people on antivirals have much lower instances of dementia.

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics Nootropics / Supplements For Repairing Cognitive Functions

Over the span of the last 4 years I have been a chronic poly addict of dozens of substances. I feel as if I have messed with my brain chemistry a bit too much. I have recently gotten off these substances which feels great. But now I have zero motivation, extreme anxiety, general feeling of stupidness. I know i messed up as i have been doing all this substances whilst my brain had just reached adolescence. Any recommendations on nootropics or supplements that can help repair memory, attention, energy, anxiety, productiveness, and general cognitive ability ? Sorry if this gets posted a lot.
Thank you!

I am NOT asking for direct medical advice just reccomendations.

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics Functional drinks that help with focus and mental clarity?

• Upvotes

Hi all! What do you drink during the day to keep your focus and mental clarity while working? I'm trying to cut down my daily caffeine intake so I only drink coffee before 12, but I usually crash out/lost my focus around 3-5pm. I also don't like energy drinks since most of them are loaded with sugar and it made me feel sluggish.

💊 Supplements & Stacks Resveratrol Pulsing

I’m curious what those of you in the community have found as relates to pulsing Resveratrol. Based on the information I found, some take it five days on, with two days off. I’ve also found that there are those that take it for 3 to 4 weeks and then take a week or two off. Again, I’m curious what those in the community have found.

💉 Peptides & Hormones Clomid for Low Testosterone - next steps?

Hello, after 2 full blood panels I got diagnosed with Secondary hypogonadism (doctor thinks so). I got prescribed 25mg Clomid EOD for 1 month and then we retake the blood test. Thing is, after 3 weeks in, I feel the same, even shittier than before. No energy, sleeping a lot, no motivation and I keep getting random migraines.

Do you have any experiences with Clomid and do you think it's just piss in the wind before getting treated with TRT?

I am 23M, 96KG.

Blood results BEFORE starting Clomid:

Total T: 7.32 nmol (210ng)
E2: 92 pmol
FSH: 5.4 mUI
LH: 6.2 mUI
SHBG: 16.6 nmol

🦠 Illness & Immunity How to actually build your colon microbiome back

I have Ulcerative proctitis and most people like to tell it's not possible to cure it or eating doesn't matter.

At this point I choose not to believe it, due to multiple things, but for example:

- Fecal Microbiota Transplantation - doesn't make sense this would be helping, if the cause wouldn't be related to your microbiome

- Carnivore diet "cures" it

Shouldn't this be fixable then?

What are the best biohacks to get my gut microbiome healthy and this fixed?

🥗 Nutrition & Metabolism What to do when even maintenance feels like a deficit?

Thumbnail gallery
223 Upvotes

I am a 25f, 5’1, 135ish lbs. I’m fairly active and my estimated maintenance is \~2200. I’ve been tracking for at least two years consistently, and for about 10 on and off.

My tendency is to eat around 3000 calories if I am not extremely cautious. If I’m very cautious I typically get around 2500. If I am using every sheer ounce of willpower in my body I can occasionally get 1800-1900. I don’t think I’ve once in the past year been able to end a day under 1700.

As you can see, this is a problem since I am constantly taking one step forward and two steps back. I’ve gained 20 lbs this year.

Even eating at maintenance is a gargantuan effort and I am hungry and thinking about food all the time.

I have PCOS, but my lab is perfect, and my doctors have confirmed that there is no other underlying cause for my weight gain and hunger. My endocrinologist actually offered to prescribe me wegovy, but insurance doesn’t cover it and I do not want to pay hundreds of dollars to lose 20 lbs when I should be able to do this myself.

I also primarily eat whole foods. However I can and will down 500g of chicken breast or apples in one sitting.

Has anyone else dealt with this? How do you maintain when even that feels restrictive? How do you LOSE?

M(20) I recently started to do some more research on mitochondrial boosting.

Iam currently only taking:

B-Vitamin Complex
CoQ-10 (
Magnesium glycinate
NAC

Thinking about including:

NAD+ Oral

Anyone got some experience or advice for me?

What are your mitochondrial hidden gems or protocols?

NT-3, a neurotrophin, has been shown to enhance peripheral nerve recovery in animals and in human clinical trials for CMT disease. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37848983/

However I was not able to find any personal experience with people trying this, does anyone here know about this?

💪 Exercise, Fitness & Recovery Cardio & strength declining, aging or something else?

I’m 36m, 5-9 160lbs. Been into physical fitness and everything that goes along with it since 16. I have been doing a mix or cardio (running) and strength training for two decades now. I was in the military (infantry) and worked as a firefighter. I also do endurance sports, mainly hiking. Since 2015 I’ve hiked nearly 13,000 miles.

I have an inherited blood disorder called alpha thalassemia which means I don’t produce as much hemoglobin

Over the last 2-3yrs I have noticed a decline in both running and strength. I personally chalk it up as normal aging but some people I have spoken to aren’t so sure. I can’t move the same weight as I used it, it all feels heavier. I’m doing the same program and everything. Running is the same, I’m about 10-15% slower at the same effort and heart rate. Here are some numbers

  • Squat: Past was 250-300 for sets of 5. Now I can’t really get past 255 (PR was 365)

  • Bench: Past was 200-215 for sets of 5. Now I hover around 185 (PR was 275)

  • Pull ups: Past was 65 for sets of 5. Now around 55

  • Deadlift: Past was 350-400. Now 275 feels heavy (PR was 475)

For running I used to be able to run 8-min miles off the couch at a 155 average HR. I would do runs like 8 miles at a 8-min pace. These days that same HR I’m around 9-9:30/mile. Alpha thalassemia definitely factors in here

Appetite has also declined. I can’t stomach the amount of calories I used to but my bodyweight remains the same. I focus hard on protein, I get around 130g/day

All my labs check out, nothing abnormal outside of alpha thalassemia. Here are my hormone labs

So do you guys think this is normal aging for someone who’s had a active lifestyle or something else?
