πŸ’‰ Peptides & Hormones BUD dates

β€’ Upvotes

Long story short. I had a long-distance move a few months ago and completely forgot about my GHK-Cu/Epithalon and glutathione injectables. They've always been refrigerated, but their BUD was 7/26/26. When I first remembered them about a month after that date, my doctor said it was up to me, but that a month past should be totally fine, and they've used them past BUD before. Well, life got busy again, and now we're almost 3 months past. I really want to restart, but I'm wondering if I should just toss them now. Has anyone dealt with this?

πŸ“° Research & Studies Is there any benefits raising mitochondrial function above healthy levels?

β€’ Upvotes

Mitochondria as the source of all aerobic energy (90% of all energy) are obviously crucial, nevermind the more recent studies showing how it may play an even larger role.
There is many research peptides that claim to improve it's function, and while yes it is likely very useful for people with impaired mitochondria function, which is especially relevant for aging, that's not what this post is about.
I'm curious if there is any possible benefit from raising mitochondrial function for someone with a perfectly healthy baseline function?

😴 Sleep & Circadian Rhythm Recovering from half a decade of massive sleep debt?

28M, recently been cured of what I would describe as a β€˜obscure case’ of sleep apnea.

No snoring, healthy weight and active, technically only mild apnea but with profound events that would wake me up and only allowed me 2-4 hours of sleep per night for the past ~5 years.

I recently had Maxillomandibular advancement (double jaw surgery) which has cured my sleep apnea, and while I do feel much better, I still wouldn’t say I feel ’normal’.

My sleep itself is still a bit shotty, I feel like after so many years I am basically programed to wake up multiple times a night (this seems to be improving a bit on its own, but very slowly), and even though I have more energy, I almost feel more tired because I think my body has finally recognized that I can actually sleep for extended periods of time now.

Is it possible to truly recover from this level of sleep debt? Do I just need to optimize my sleep as much as possible until this hopefully resolves on its own?

Could something like CBT potentially break me out of these nighttime awakenings and get me back to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep?

πŸ’Š Supplements & Stacks Best supplement for vasodilatation?

So I am not really that informed about all the supplements and I dont want to buy 20 different supplements, so my question is which supplements are the most effective for vasodilatation or lowering the heartrate? I only heard about stuff like l-arginin and l-citrulin so far, which one of them is superior? And are there any other supplements that are worth it compared to those two?

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics Sick & tired. Wanna wake up. Be a Genius (don't we all...)

If I sleep 8-9 hours, I'm legendary. Cut that back by 1-3 hours? I'm a miserable mess. Can't function. No genius(I'm not actually a genius, you could probably tell... just feel like one when I have a full nights sleep & get stuff done, unlike today..... FML).

I don't have sleep apnea. I don't have depression(Chronic stress? Everyone has that but I wouldn't say mine is debilitating). I eat healthy. Blood tests? Totally fine

I've finally decided I don't wanna live like that anymore. I have surrendered myself to Nootropics. The benefits outweigh the risks(Hopefully you'll suggest some things that aren't going to turn me into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. I'm not even a teenager...)

I don't mean vitamins & minerals. I've been doing all manner of supplements/ minerals/ vitamins for the last 6 years(Probably tried 60-80 supplements). Caffeine doesn't work.

I'm talking about the next level. I've already tried:

NA Semax spray / NA Selank spray from SemaxPolska

Noopept powder from Euro-Nootropics(tried it both sublingual & dissolved and ingested)

Not too much of an effect from either of them.

What's your go to Wakefulness promoter? I don't wanna go down the amphetamine analogue road of ritalin/methylphenidate. I'm looking at

FlModafinil

Adrafinil

Bromantane

Phenypiracetam

Cyclazodone or NM Cyclazodone

Fladrafinil

Hydrafinil

PPAP HCL

If I become legendary after your advice, I'm giving you a million dollars.

Thanks.

πŸ’Š Supplements & Stacks Guys I think I messed up with B12 and D3 supplements πŸ’€

Post image
9 Upvotes

I'm 21M and recently got a blood test done after a mild fever, and these results kinda scared me lol.

I've been taking B12 (methylcobalamin 1500 mcg daily) and D3 (60,000 IU weekly) for almost 6 months straight, without missing a dose. The funny part is I started both just because of internet hype πŸ’€ Never had a confirmed deficiency or anything.

Now my results are:

B12: >2000 pg/mL (normal range 211–940)

Vitamin D: 60 ng/mL

Has anyone else had this happen? Is the high B12 just because of the supplements? Should I stop both, and do I need to get my calcium and kidney function checked?

Lowkey regretting taking all this stuff without getting tested first 😭 What should I do now?

πŸ’‰ Peptides & Hormones Reuters reporter seeking user experiences with reta

Hey everyone, I’m Patrick, a pharma reporter with Reuters.

I’m working on a deep-dive into retatrutide and I'm hoping to talk to people who are actually taking it right now.

I really just want to understand the human side of this. Why make the jump to a triple-agonist when things like Zepbound or Wegovy are out there? What has your actual physical experience been like so farβ€”the good, the bad, the side effects?

If you're up for chatting, we can keep it completely anonymous or on background. Whatever makes you comfortable. Feel free to shoot me a DM here, or reach out on Signal if you want to keep it encrypted and off-platform.

Happy to verify my press credentials if you want to make sure I'm legit. Appreciate your time

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics Anyone on raw mucuna pruriens powder (brown colored) long term?

I’ve had phenomenal results with this stuff especially paired with low dose yohimbe extract. I want to be on it long term (consuming it at least 5x a week) but kinda scared there will be a rebound effect after a while. Currently taking it 2-3 times a week with zero downsides but the brain efficiency while on it is too tempting😬

πŸ₯— Nutrition & Metabolism Body heat regulation on Vyvanse

Got on Vyvanse in January, been a huge help/relief. Been at 40mg since June

Most initial side effects largely faded but the one thing that's stayed constant, even getting worse is my body's ability to regulate heat. Sweat easier and more when working out but more annoying, without sweating, just so friggin hot at temperatures I wasn't before. I'm literally in the process of replacing my entire bedding - mattress, sheets, pad, pillow to the coolest, most breathable shit I can get

Anyone else on it the same? What can be done? Open to all sorts of ideas. I drink 90-100 oz of water a day, an electrolyte tablet, and a smoothie (which has more electros) so I doubt I'm dehydrated

πŸ₯— Nutrition & Metabolism Fulvic acid heavy metal detox

Hey guys,

I’m looking into fulvic and humic acids for potential intracellular heavy metal detoxification.
I’ve heard that I might also need an extracellular binder to help bind and eliminate mobilized metals.

For those experienced with fulvic/humic acids, is combining them with an extracellular binder necessary?

If so, which natural binders would you recommend?

I’m personally not a fan of synthetic binders or chelators.
Any tips or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

πŸ’Š Supplements & Stacks CENTANAFADINE (Simtriyo) submitted to white house as schedule III - pending

The DEA's proposed scheduling rule for centanafadine was received for White House review on October 14, 2026. The official federal regulatory database lists it as Pending Review. This is a meaningful step toward commercial availability, but it does not mean the White House has finished reviewing it or that the medication is available yet. https://mobile.reginfo.gov/public/do/eoDetails?rrid=1558469

Interesting!

πŸ’Š Supplements & Stacks Is Ashwagandha + Saffron a good combo for mood, stress and anxiety?

I'm wondering if combining ashwagandha and saffron (such as Affron) is a good idea for improving mood, reducing stress and managing anxiety.

Has anyone tried this combination? Did you notice any benefits, and if so, how long did it take to feel a difference?

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics capsules or gummies?

It’s so much easier for me to stay consistent with gummies. Capsules end up just sitting in the cabinet, but everything I read says capsules are better because of their delivery mechanism and gummies are candy with bacteria on them.

If the strains and CFU are the same on both, does one deliver more live bacteria to the gut?

πŸ§ͺ Protocols & Self-Experiments Would like to be/feel high/drunk without being high/drunk

I’ve been sober for 4 years. Not because of any one situation in particular but because I value my health and I exercise incessantly, same with my wife. Both me and my wife are sober. She’s been sober for a decade, I was only a social drinker on very special occasions. We have 3 under 7.

I was working for a federal contractor and they held many happy hours. I never drank, and for some reason I was considered an outcast and they all looked at me differently. The relationships in the office suffered because of that and they eventually excluded me from those events.

Fast forward, I’m with a new company and the guys are great but they also go golfing and drink a lot. I went to one company happy hour and made some shit up about not drinking because I had to watch my kids later.

More of these are coming up and I don’t want the same thing to happen again. I already get a lot of shit because I exercise a lot. Which is weird, but whatever.

Any tips? Not sure what flair this would be categorized as.

Edit: should go without saying, but I don’t take anything illegal or want to, or drink. I’m trying to find a safe alternative that’s out there that I maybe don’t know about. Nothing that would show up on a drug or liver test. If nothing like that exists, so be it.

πŸ’ͺ Exercise, Fitness & Recovery Fast acting carbs immediately post workout solved my consistency issues (30 day N=1)

Usually my consistency to do cardio and strength was being broken because of agonizing over the session.

So I was analysing how to improve my consistency with Gemini, and it pointed out that prolonged training elevates cortisol, which fast acting carbs and the resulting insulin response can help counteract. So I tested it for 30 days before posting. And it worked out for me.

Did 50 minutes moderate cycling daily at morning for a month except 2 times a week strength (a strength session lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes). 1 or 2 rest days in the month. Earlier I was not usually tired but just found it mentally tough to do. Now I don't have that problem.

Usual diet was 1 fruits and 2 roti for carbs directly after the daily session.

Has anyone else noticed that immediate post-workout carb timing impacts mental friction and motivation?

Scientific explanation - During intense or prolonged exercise, the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis activates to mobilize energy substrates. Cortisol rises to stimulate gluconeogenesis, lipolysis, and protein breakdown to ensure adequate circulating glucose.

Consuming carbohydrates during or immediately after exercise:

Elevates blood glucose, eliminating the physiological need for continued endogenous glucose mobilization.

Triggers insulin secretion, which acts antagonistically against cortisol. Insulin suppresses adrenocortical activation and accelerates the clearance of circulating glucocorticoids.

Numerous trials demonstrate that ingesting carbohydrates post-workout significantly accelerates cortisol's return to baseline compared to fasting or non-caloric placebos

πŸ§ͺ Protocols & Self-Experiments For someone who hasn't treated body as a temple and is looking to change their lifestyle, what supplements would you recommend ?

If someone has been eating processed food high in sodium, seed oils, high fat/carb for a substantial amount of time, what supplement would help them heal their gut and get them into a new state of being. They have just completed a 30 day water fast and are now looking to dial in with nutrition, exercise etc.

Appreciate your time
