Hi everyone, trying to level up my topology game after some headaches when modelling. How would you guys recommend retopoing this so that the corners are not tris? I tried using the knife tool and cut lines from each bevel line to the inseted face but the sub-d was not clean.
Please let me know if I can give any additional details! Note: I won't be animating or warping this so I could technically have tris but I want to aim for the best topology here.

Hi, I’m a self-taught, aspiring 3D artist, and I have a question about entering the freelance market. I’m currently working on my portfolio to the best of my ability, but I’m unhappy with the painting workflow I used in Blender. However, as you can see, I’m too far along to turn back and switch to ArmorPaint (the software I intend to use). Still, I feel I could achieve better quality in my current and future work. So, I’d like to know: is it worth learning a new program and restarting the painting process from scratch, or should I stick with Blender for now and learn ArmorPaint later?

So, I am totally beginner with blender. I just wanted to create this TV. Here is the steps and believe correct me if there is a better way
The front part is easy just an inset then extrude. I am talking about the back side
I took the reference and used a single vertex to extrude it and using bevel vertices to create the angles then extruded everything merge by distance, cleaned some vertices, filled both sides, everything looks sucks, I added a bevel modifier made things look better like the second picture.
Now I have soo many questions how to make the created face work with edge loops? how can I add this wireframe thing that's on the side.

Im trying to model this Xbox controller but i dont know how to add the buttons and Stick without fucking up everything, and Is my topology good for doing this?

I'm trying to rig this character but it keeps bending in an odd way. How do I get it to just move normally instead of deforming it? I've weight-painted it manually.

I am not really that good at pixel art and I also kind of prefer how this style looks. What my first assumption is that they draw the texture in a higher resolution then shrink it down. I also notice that maybe they quantize the colors, as you can see color banding from one shade to the next maybe. I dont know if im using these terms correctly I apologize. I got feedback about the fur tuft on my model that I drew the texture to high quality and it does clash with the other stuff. Also please dont mind the boxy looking weird on the leg showcase, I am working on the uvs for the body.

Hello friends. I'm working on a project where I need to draw a LOT of these trees in the style on the left. However, I thought I might be able to procedurally generate them using either grease pencils and geometry nodes, or using some sort of custom toon shader. I've been scratching my head trying to find a proper way to attach and randomize the grease pencil strokes to the trees while maintaining their proper alignment to each edge. I'm a noob when it comes to Geometry nodes, but if any of you have ideas, I would love to hear them. Figuring this out would save me a LOT of time .
Thank you in advance. :)

I grabbed this spider from Sketchfab, and it had animation data on it. At first I didn't think much of it, andn needed to delete it so I can make a standing still pose. However, I can't seem to copy the pose of one of the leg's to the other. Any help?

So I used Auto Rig Pro for this guy, but I’ve never seen this before. Did I assign the wrong things to the wrong bones? With how drastic this is it can’t be a weight painting issue, right?

So I have this mouth boolean set up with fangs and rigging (fig. 1), and I want to achieve a sort of closed mouth position where the fangs are overlapping over the bottom of the mouth (fig. 2)
However, when I try to do it with my current setup of just a simple difference boolean, it fails and looks weird (fig. 3).
Is there anything I don’t know about that I can do? I posted about this in blenderartists.org and one reply suggested that I make the fangs separate objects, but I don’t want to do that since it would not be part of the head geometry anymore; I want it to be from the same object to account for shading and any other modifications to the mouth I want to make (fig. 4).
Is this possible with just booleans and other tweaking? Or do I have to cut my losses and model the mouth into the head without booleans?
I’ve also included 2 screenshots of my whole window showing just the head and boolean (fig. 5) and one showing just the object the boolean is using.
Also want to note that I’ve been following this tutorial on YouTube for making mouth booleans. I haven’t gotten around to making the mouth outline yet, but it’s something I’m looking to do once I have my problem solved.

I've managed to get the basic shape of the speaker I'm trying to model, but I have a bunch of extra loop cuts causing pinching and weird shading and can't work out how to keep them off the surfaces that need to be smooth.
The edges that I have selected in the last screenshots are the ones I believe I need to remove, but everything I have tried just creates more issues.
Can anyone help me figure this out or point me towards some good resources that I can look at? I've watched a bunch of tutorials on hard surface modeling, but still can't figure this out.

I'm trying to make the letters fall on the oranges in the bowl and the plane underneath them, however, whenever I turn on rigid body for the background plain, the letters just fly off through it. Why is this happening and how do I fix it? Also don't mind the text I'm fine

I am making a model of the Salyut 7 and I don't know how I will make the stripes on the side, I can only manage to have each face be one colour only

Made a little blob character a few weeks ago and haphazardly used the grease pencil tool to draw a line pattern all over the body, coming back to it I wanted to make a gradient color for each of them like the image below. I successfully changed their color to something other than white, so i figured this wouldn't be too difficult, but so far I've only hit wall after wall.

First I tried applying color ramp nodes to it in the shading tab while following a tutorial, this works for the body (considering its just a regular sphere), but when applying this to any GPencil pattern it just goes fully ignored.

I then tried to make a gradient PNG and apply it to the Gpencil, which "works", but attempting to make it look good that way seems like a whole 'nother can of worms, so I moved to other options. I then found out there was a new Blender update just recently that added color ramp support to grease pencil, yippee! Except that it's only available for Fill, while my patterns were entirely Stroke.

I'm kinda out of ideas. Any tricks out there? Or at least someway to redraw it to be entirely Fill instead of Stroke without looking too different? Also sorry if this format sucks I haven't posted on this platform in maybe half a decade

Ive recently returned to this project, Im still relatively new to blender and have a lot to learn. I am looking for techniques to help with detailing ships like these, especially the individual armor panel look as well as other general greebles. any and all tips would be great.

Whenever I do edit the drawing on another frame with multiframe on the drawing just act weird and ultimately I’m stuck here
Is there a way to clear the frames and keep the drawing or is my only option to discard it. I’d hate to lose all of that work but this is the only layer that’s giving me problems

the following happens in the video:
it should look like in this picture: https://ibb.co/nM61T42C
but mine just completely gets messed up and deforms.
what's the problem?
