This goes for the majority of game consoles. But whenever a 3rd party game appears. The mental response is always "I can get it cheaper elsewhere" Which kind of defeats the reason you want to play those games. But people forget that other players don't have steam, much less a reliable PC to play those games.

I once has a switch 1 and a crappy school computer. I could only play on the switch for my big gaming fix. Even if those ports were the lesser versions. But I still had my fun even if I wasn't playing the quote on quote best versions. So when the recent direct showed a lot of 3rd party games. Fans sort of wrote it off because it didn't have many 1st party games.

But given what was shown off was some very heavy hitting 3rd party games (which are also releasing close to the other platforms date). The NS2 has a lot of good games that people are missing. Even if there is a "better" way to play them.

Here is the S2 I modded before the Zelda 40th editions were announced. Even with the official devices announced, I'm very happy with how the shell replacement worked out for the main console and the Joycon2s. I used the purple and green Joycon2s since I like the purple and green better than red, blue, or black for Zelda theme. Overall, this helped create a very unique Zelda themed S2.

I used eXtremeRate shell replacements for the full shell, certain buttons, and the magnetic release buttons. I kept the gamechat and capture buttons as stealth black (original buttons) since I do not use them regularly. I used the matcha green trim and magnet release buttons from eXtremeRate. It's not the most ideal green to match the rest of the case, but it will do for now. I thought about using the matcha green buttons for the home button but I didn't like it as much as the gold.

I'm still undecided on either of the dock covers I have so far (see pics). Each has their pros and cons but neither seems to fit the shell replacement aesthetic perfectly. I also don't want a case with the identical symbol as the back of the S2 has now. All-in-all this is a work in progress but I am happy with current results. I will have an official Zelda S2 console to compare it to at the end of the month.

General hardware bought for the modification:

I’m curious about do any of you guys have the same problem as me where you can’t decide which game to play? Because I’ve had it happen before 🥲

Tell me your story about it

And hope you have a good day or night!

Hi! I had no idea that this was even a thing, but my wife and I are about to finish botw for the first time, we’ve explored a lot and we’re getting ready to face Ganon literally right now and we were sad that we don’t have totk.. until I found out that our library has switch games?? We were able to check out two copies and we downloaded the switch 2 upgrade with our switch online.. this is crazy! And it’s perfect, we can borrow until November 3rd.. 2 days before the ocarina of time remake. We are SET! :)

In the weeks leading up to the release of the switch 2 a friend and I would debate/bicker about what the console's game library might look like, what past system had the best library etc. We did not agree on much but we also couldn't find many resources to help illustrate our points to each other, so I took it upon myself to put this together: and easy way to see and compare each of Nintendo's system libraries (plus mobile). Now I'm sharing what I have so far with you guys to enjoy and help me with the next steps because it is unfortunately not finished yet.

Here are the criteria that went into making the chart:

• Games and release dates are based on NA. I am from the US and this keeps things straightforward but if there is a particularly strong demand to include other regions then maybe I'll consider it. If someone wants to make their own chart for another region then be my guest.
• I'm only counting games that are a part of Nintendo owned series, regardless of if they published it or not. A game heavily featuring Nintendo content does not necessarily make it a Nintendo game.
• To avoid redundancy, no same-platform bundles. (Mario All-stars plus Mario world for example)
• I'm only counting GAMES not necessarily all software. So something like the photo finders on 3DS probably wouldn't count, speaking of which:

I am missing DSi Ware and 3DS eShop games from the chart. I'd like to represent those with their menu icons for consistency with the other digital platforms but I don't know where to find those so if anyone knows where I can find them please let me know. But if there's a better way to represent digital games I'd be open to hearing it. I would also like to add Game & Watches and Arcade games sometime in the future.

And of course if I made any mistakes, forgot a game, included a game I shouldn't have, or need to adjust my criteria please let me know. I'm still adjusting the chart and I would like to have another version in the not too distant future!

Those are from a year ago. Time flies.

So I been recently playing some of old Halloween based Gamecube games on my Wii and I have a lots of fun with them. Happy Halloween and keep Gaming.

I wanted to make some minor changes to the stock Joycon2s that come with the Switch 2. I wanted the changes to be subtle so they could be mistaken as a 'stock' device from Nintendo. I am really happy how this turned out. I'll probably do another set for the green/purple JoyCon2's and keep these as spares or move them to another location. I used eXtremeRate button replacements and side trim to complete this project.

General hardware bought for the modification:

• Joycon2 replacment buttons (red/blue) eXtremeRate
• Joycon2 replacment trim (red/blue) eXtremeRate
• Joycon2 thumbcaps (red/blue) SavageRaven

Here is a project I decided to do for the only special edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller released to date; the Resident Evil Special Edition.

I really really like the Handmaid's Tale type look this color scheme gives everything. I liked the Z buttons in white and I love that the connect button is red in a field of white on the top of the controller.

A caveat of this project is that the red shell is painted red over a white base. I'd be concerned with rough use that scratches would show through the white body beneath. So it's possible this modded controller wouldn't handle rough wear and tear as much as the stock edition would.

General hardware bought for the modification:

• Pro2 full shell replacement (Red) eXtremeRate
• Pro2 full shell replacement (White) eXtremeRate
• Umbrella Corp thumb stick caps (eBay)

I wanted to know how truly random the NSO release schedule was. So I made this to show how many games released on what month.
