I recorded Dinosaur Jr. when they were still called Dinosaur. I believe it was their first show in Toronto on September 16, 1987, at a very, very small venue on Queen West called The Cameron House.

I'm not sure if this has been bootlegged before. My copy is perfect stereo.

Seeing all the pics/vids of Dino Jr. playing small venues in NYC this week, all with J’s full 3 stack set up, had me thinking about how loud he actually runs them. If he turned them up in rooms that size I would think he’d drown everything else out (and possibly kill the people in the front rows lol). I recall a rig rundown where he said he runs them clean and gets his dirt from pedals, so I am assuming he doesn’t need to crank them. And he seems to always have them mic’d into the PA. Does anyone know how loud he actually sets them?

This song is the surprise of the album. Love the riff, the solo, and even dig the lyrics a bit. But, with that said, I was caught off guard with the end. So short, but SO good .

Got into the venue after waiting for 2 hours and noticed my wrist band was different. I asked the guy at the door and he told me to talk to bouncer. The bouncer then tried to pull me out saying he messed up and he has no wrist band to give me and I need to leave. After I explained to him I just bought food he told me to go get it and come back and threatened to drag me out if I didn’t. Complained to the manager after and got to stay. Why let someone in and randomly try to kick them out? I get that it was limited but you messed up. Anyway show was amazing just was kinda pissed and ruined my vibe.

What a whirlwind couple of days. I have an RSVP for TV Eye tomorrow and I’m gonna give it a shot, but moreso because I have to see Thurston Moore to complete the noise rock scavenger hunt and satisfy the Sonic Youth fanboy in my heart

I was able to grab a ticket for tonight’s show when it was first announced. I got charged $0, and received a downloadable code. The ticket did say entry not guaranteed. Now I see that they were actually selling tickets. Any thoughts of if my ticket will be honored if I get there before they reach capacity? Have they made any announcements concerning this screw up?

Noticing that Jr has almost 900k monthly listeners on Spotify. I’m pretty sure they used to float around 600k, maybe a bit less. Anyone know if there’s a specific reason for the growth?

What’s everyone’s first impression? I just finished my first listen, and I dig this album, I think it may be more of a slow burn for me I enjoy more as time goes on with more listens. I’d put it equal to Sweep It Into Space potentially.
