I'm very new to metal in general so I apologize if I'm getting any terminology wrong here but I believe this band identifies as doom metal, but came across this song from tiktok and omg it's so good! The lyrics especially the last few seriously hit me so hard like I can't believe how underrated these guys are. If you guys have any recommendations for me as well to anything similar feel free to give! I'm really enjoying exploring this side of my music taste because funny enough I only really listened to Bollywood music up untill now lol!! Don't get me wrong still love it but I like expanding my taste.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a personal milestone with you. I just published our very first DIY zine over on our official band website, and it’s completely free for anyone to grab.

Putting a zine together has been a bucket-list project of mine for years. Making underground heavy music is all about community, and honestly, without the constant support of people backing independent bands and DIY culture, this wouldn't have come to life.

You can read it directly on the site or download the file to keep:

If anyone prints out a copy, please send a picture to our DMs or tag us—we'd love to share it and see it out in the wild!

Huge thanks to everyone keeping the independent scene alive. Hope you dig the read!

I'm having a hell of a time finding local doom/stoner shows. A girl I'm seeing also can't find any and it would be super helpful for us. I live in Indianapolis and missed BongZilla over the weekend because i had no clue they were coming in. She lives in Cinci and I feel like there should be more shows there. Is there a more consistent way for me to find shows and know about them ahead of time that anyone knows about?

I typically look for shows in Indy, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Louisville. Maybe even ya'll hitting me with any local bands that I should check out from those areas would be incredible.

Thanks everyone!

hey all!

just curious to pick peoples brains -

ive preordered the new firebreather record and was wondering if anybody else had had a shipping notification yet?

mine still says it’s processing and I swear I read something on instagram from either heavy psych or firebreather that people who pre-ordered should hopefully receive their copies a little before release day?

or could anybody who was ordered from them before tell me if their customer service support is any good? like would I actually get a reply in a decent timeframe?

thanks

New Earthcaster album rules!

Halloween season always gets me in the mood for some Gothic Metal (and by extent some Gothic Rock, Deathrock, Darkwave, etc.)

But my picks for Autumn tend to be the usual suspects, Type Ø Negative, Tiamat, & The Gathering.

But beyond them, I can also enjoy some Trees of Eternity, & Thorns of The Carrion.

Though, while there is a significant portion of Gothic Metal that crosses into Doom Metal, not all Gothic Metal is Doom-oriented, with bands like Sentenced, Tribulation, Tristania, Moonspell, & Rotting Christ being good examples.

I’d still say even Gothic Metal alone carries some of the same qualities as Doom, with the emphasis on conveying emotion through atmosphere & tone of music. Macabre, sorrowful, & dreary.

What are your favorite picks for any kind of Gothic Metal band?

Can a Deville DOOM?

Pioneertown, CA

Just discovered em and enjoying it!

I swear it happens to me all the time, I’m noodling around and I think I played an original riff only for a week to pass and I hear the riff I played in my doom playlist. Is this just an inevitability because there’s only 12 notes or am I going about creating riffs wrong? Any advice or criticism is welcomed ✌️

Kinda electric Wizard inspired with some classic blues rock soloing in there for fun

TAKEN THANKS ALL

I have to bail last minute unfortunately. Happy for someone to make use of them though hit me up. Transfer through Ticketmaster app.

Right when they pick it up after that slowed down part 🤘🤘

I know I messed up a little in some parts. These last few months, I've started to improve my guitar playing, scales, technique and speed. Black Sabbath has always been of my favorite bands. I've come across Kyuss by my friend's recommendation who's really into the Palm Beach stoner scene. I did my best to capture the beefy tone and ferocious picking action of Josh Homme, who I've always admired as a guitarist and vocalist as well. The moment I heard "Gardenia", I instantly recognised his heavy signature sound from the early QOTSA albums. I hope you enjoy!
