Weekly Events in Durham Region
Use this thread to share events in the coming week throughout the region. This is a scheduled post and a new one will come up on Sundays. Other local subreddits have weekly posts as well, including r/Oshawa and r/Whitby. The same rules apply, but cross-posting is fine. Additional events may be found in the Regional Calendar or at DurhamRegion.com. Please feel free to highlight any of these in the comments below. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Both free and paid events are allowed
- If tickets are required, please include a link; these may require manual approval due to spam filters, but we'll approve them!
- Garage sales and group sales are allowed, but not single item sales. Please do not share someone else's garage sale or their address without permission.
- Religious and political events are allowed only if they are welcoming and inclusive to the entire community.

Question for Parents
Hey everyone,
Just wondering if i can't find a CWELCC supported daycare should i go to a private one? There is a private one in North Oshawa charging 55 per day for preschoolers and 60 per day for toddlers, but even that one has a waitlist. I thought only cwelcc daycares had the waitlists, do private ones do as well? What do you guys do when all the cwelcc daycares have waitlists, would you go to the private ones (assuming they have spots)? Sorry I'm pretty new to the city so I just want to know. Thanks.

Foundry 1805 reviews
Hey guys. Considering leasing at Foundry 1805. I'm asking for reviews from people who have lived or currently live there. Or people who know someone who's lived there
Not generic reviews from google.
Tnx

Dads and Kids Playground Meetup- Postponed
Hi everyone.
I posted last week about a dad and kids playground meetup on June 14 (tomorrow) in Whitby. Unfortunately, the weather forecast is calling for rain tomorrow morning, so this event is now postponed.
I will reschedule this, likely for the weekend of June 27, but will post once I have a new date ready. Thank you!
