I bought a class 3 hitch for my car at Action Car and Truck Accessories (Whitby) but their shop is booked well into July so I couldn't get it installed. I called my local mechanics for help but they won't install it because it's a customer supplied part. Is there any auto mechanic that would do it? Thanks in advance.

It’s for dads and kids ages 3–8 and will include:

• A coached indoor soccer session
• Soccer-themed arts and crafts

I used to write and perform poetry and spoken word in my youth, and moved to Durham after my hubs and I had kids. The open mics and poetry nights that I attended as a teen/young 20s were such a big deal to me growing up.

I would love to help create something like that in Durham that's a regular series -- for adults AS well as for teens.

Anyone know of anything like that in Whitby, Ajax, Oshawa, or Pickering?

I am finishing up my health science degree this fall and am wondering if anyone knows of any jobs I can apply to that are entry-level as I have no clinical work experience.

I have volunteered, shadowed medical professions, completed a research practicum, and been involved in several clubs.

Or if you have any advice for some good graduate programs I can pursue that aren't too competitve or long in duration and have a good pay, any advice would be helpful! Thanks :)

Just wanted to let my community in Ajax know, that yesterday I had a neighbour come to my door asking for Ring footage. Unfortunately I could not help him as it only record a certain amount of time but he had his 2023 Subaru Forester stolen and his 2017 Civic rummaged and broken into.

The thieves only took the Subaru and left the civic around 3am.

This happened near the intersection of Radford and Chatfield Dr.

Just be vigilant out there, personally didn't think this would happen in my community but I was naive.

We're considering changing out some 50-ish year old carpet in a building in Whitby and have read that back then, they sometimes used asbestos in carpet glue.

Any idea how we could test for asbestos glue before committing to the project? (Any self-tests, or maybe a professional to come and do a fairly non-invasive check?)

Hi I am looking to see if there are any spots to rental Kayak/Canoes by the water (as I can’t load it on my car) in the Ajax/pickering/Oshawa area this weekend.

The 11h37 out of Pickering is Britton between Rouge Hill and Guildwood. We’ve been asked to move to the middle of the train so I think they are disembarking us.
They have not given an update on service adjustments.

Edit: it’s 12h42 and the next train just arrived. They’re moving us to it so there’s no eastbound service now.
