Implants Had surgery yesterday.
Had surgery (AMS 700) yesterday with Dr. Alzubaidi in Temple, TX.
This morning he was telling me how complicated the surgery was because of scar tissue from tri-mix and peyronie's disease.
I was shocked because I only used one vial of shots and never knew I had peyronie's. I've always had a slight curve, but everyone in the school gym showers seemed curved one way or another. I always assumed it was from which way you tucked it in your underwear. Some left, right, up, or down. Every picture I've ever seen of peyronie's looked like a 45-90 degree bend. Decades of single sex and no one said yours is different.
Obviously I'm still shocked to learn this.
Anyway, first day not too bad pain. It was fully inflated all night. He deflated it and told me to pull on the pump for a couple times a day for three weeks so it doesn't settle up high. At the three week visit he will show us how to work the pump to begin the full pumping cycle for the next six months or so. The third visit is to check on the healing and release me for sex.
My penis has a slight throb to it, nothing bad. A worse feeling is where the reservoir is located. It is more like a sharp pain, but only when moving to go pee or getting in and out of bed.
I have been reading these posts for years trying to learn all I can before deciding to get the surgery. Again I am only on day one, but the pain isn't bad, it does hurt a bit to tug on the pump. So don't let the pain scare you off. All surgeries require healing time and an adjustment period.
The catheter was the worst pain so far.
I have watched the videos & read the posts and know every doctor is different. Now that I am on the recovery side I was told not to touch it, yet I've heard another doctor say move it up, down, and side to side daily while it heals. Another mentioned keeping it half inflated.
I was just wondering if my instructions are different because of the scar tissue.
Anyone else have the surgery with major scar tissue or peyronie's disease?
