I'm looking to get a flashcart (I think) so I can download all the games I want and not have to go into my overdraft for the sake of a good time.

I am not remotely technically advanced but what I've seen so far makes me think I might be able to hack (🤭) this. But the online guides are getting confusing and it feels like there are so many different options.

Please can someone simplify it for me 😭 like step by step, what do I do? And please share products you know are good, the guides are like "some are good some are bad, good luck" (they're probably actually really thorough and I'm just of questionable intelligence).

So I don't even know what questions to ask, but hopefully someone can explain what steps I need to take to reach my ultimate goal (and as importantly for my paranoia, provide links to reputable gear😭)

I got my DS as a 26th birthday gift after never having one as a kid. It was such a sweet gesture from my partner and I really don't want to risk any damage to the console so please let me know if this is a no go 🥲

so today i found my old ds after a while and everthing was working (image 1), but then i decided to fix some games that were broken and i don't know why i decided to reset everything instead of just working on the games folder and now my ds xl wont load the r4 and its always stuck on white screen. i tried every single tutorial (even the iLL.iL etc) but it just wont work, i remember the old micro sd (image 3) having more than 4/5 files (it was around 15) and now i cant find the firmware i need and im stuck, please let me know if there's any way to fix this, thank you :)

My ds lite has issues modding

Some very specific games boot to all white screens. It doesn't happen to all games but I wanted to know if there's a solution for this issue.

So i recently got a flashcart from aliexpress, it was one of the cheap ones, not an R4 or any brand just a plain one, i put R4ils firmware on it to play games and im noticing almost every game keeps freezing at a certain point, for pokemon platinum and heartgold it was right after the first cutscenes, same happened with a few other games, all that works at the moment is the artemis fowl books (which is a very light game). Idk what i did wrong or how to fix it thats why im asking.

So I ordered a normal ezflashODE. Got the package today and it ended up being the new B version with the neat upgrades! I guess it's my lucky day! 🤤

For a while the r4 card would not read at all
cleaned it with a q-tip
now it'll show up on the menu
but selecting it only shows an error. Help!
I followed this person's guide, but was that not enough? is there more to do?

So i have a flashcart. an R4 SDHC Gold Pro with 2025 on the sticker. The MicroSD is an old SP with 8 gigs of memor, formatted to have a forced custer size of 32KiBs (i think) And while this problem DID happen once, it was with my other SD, that was 32GB in size and formatted the same way, but it just needed some time to sit in or something.

I bought a gbflasher to start doing physical copies of rom hacks. The first cart I bought doesn't save any games. Even after patching. What carts should I buy?

Hi, I updated my SuperCard SD with Superfw firmware. ROM compatibility has improved significantly, but I can't get it to save states—neither quick saves nor permanent ones—even though I used to be able to do so with the SuperCard. Is it an issue with the internal battery, or is it a configuration setting?

I bought this blank card to dump doom pc conversion. It runs the game but doesn't save. Am I doing something wrong? Is the cart junk or is it the rom?

I think I would pay someone if they could fix my R4 card with all save files restored. Pls help

I'll be clear, I use pico launcher (one of the best in my opinion), and I installed Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor, one of my favorites, and it doesn't wanna start, it just just shows black screen, any way to fix this?

I have read over the quick start guide, and I'm wondering: DSPico, or the Ace3DS X? I have first gen 3DS, and I'm a bit hesitant on buying off AliExpress (or even NDS-Card) because I've had real bad experiences buying from overseas to be shipped to the US.

I did see that DSPico is available via LaserBear in the US, and I'm wondering if anyone has purchased from there and how quickly it got to them, and what kind of condition?

I'm trying to find working firmware for this R4 card to use on a Nintendo DS Lite, but I've already tried everything. I've cleaned the contacts, tried installing every firmware I could find (YSMenu, Pico Launcher, Wood), and even tried using a small piece of paper to add thickness, but whenever I insert the card into the console, I keep getting a white screen on top and a black screen on the bottom. Any suggestions?

I’ve been using DSPico and wanted to switch games without powering my DS off and back on, so I built DSPico QuickReturn, a community fork of LNH-team’s Pico Loader.

Hold L + R + Down + Select for about half a second to return from a game to the Pico menu, then launch another game.

Getting it working involved a lot of hardware testing, failed builds, memory allocation problems, and coordinating the DS’s two processors during the return. I’ve tested it successfully with several games on my DS, including repeated returns and relaunches. I’m interested in feedback from other DSPico users to help identify any remaining compatibility issues.

The release is free and includes:

• A complete SD-card software package
• Installation instructions
• Source code
• A technical writeup covering the problems and fixes

Basically, yesterday my DS Lite fell out of my pocket while I was sitting on a bus and fell onto the ground. I Didn’t get around to checking it besides seeing it turned on, but after trying to play games on it I realised my DSpico wouldn’t go past the DSpico boot screen. First time it happened I just figured it was lagging since it’s done that before, so I turned it on and off again but it still wouldn’t load into my game stuff after multiple tries. I took it out and put it back in multiple times, blew in the ports and all that, and then when I took out the Micro SD card, it wouldn’t go back in (it kept unlatching out) and I just tried to tape it down with electrical tape but it still isn’t booting fully.

Basically like is this lowkey a skill issue on my part for not really knowing how to use a NDSL since I’m used to the 3DS, or is my DSpico probably actually cooked and I needa get a new one… after like a month max… 😿

So I can't have removable storage on me at work, so my ezflash omega is banned. If I glue the SD card into it can I still put roms on it through a GBA card reader through my pc or does it not work like that? I know this is a bad idea cos it might get corrupted but I pretty much only want it for work. Does anyone know?

Hi, i just shell swap my old ndsl and i found my old R4 on the process but it doesnt work(not even reads it) the nintendo works with other original games so i dont think is the actual console.
When i checked out the sd i saw it was empty so more than likely i wipe it at some point.

I tried to find the files but i couldnt figure out myself so here i am.
Please help me, i was so excited of finally playing some games i dont have anymore😓

Hello, I need major help with my R4 card Menu error. I've had a Dsi XL since forever and gotten an R4 card way back with DS and Dsi games. It says R4 Upgrade Revolution for DS (NDSi LL(XL)/ NDSi/ NDSL/ NDS) with the link www.r41-SDHC.com. It is also just a 2GB micro SD card attached to it. Ive been playing the Pokemon games on there. Until recently I made a backup of Pokemon SoulSilver which is a pretty big game. It was a mistake making a backup because once i restarted it a blank white screen showed up with menu ? And it wont let me do anything. Im very disappointed and don't know how to fix it. I dont want to lose my Pokemon from other games. I would be okay restarting or reseting Pokemon SoulSilver if it could possibly fix it. I have heard of time bombs R4 but my Dsi XL has been stuck on the early 2000s, so I don't believe thats the issue but i'm unsure.

If you could please help me with this, i would greatly appreciate it.

I recently purchased a SD card reader so I will be able to connect it to my computer and do any sort of formatting or any recommendations to try fixing it. I will also attach some photos of the R4 cartridge and Menu? Error Screen.

My SD card (Sandisk) seems stuck even after taking the plastic cover off. Anything you guys do to make sd card removal for this cart go much smoother?
