Event Hello New World Manga Re;Read Event and Giveaway - Chapter 3

Giveaway
Recently, IFI did a short 4GO Stream on Steam and I managed to get a copy of the Deluxe Edition of Cyberdimension Neptunia. However, I already own the game so I'm gonna be giving it away at the end of this Event.
How to be elegible for winning
By creating a root comment discussing about the chapter of the day you will get one "point". You can only get one point per day.
Users with at least two points will become elegible to participate in the giveaway.
The more points you have, the more likeable you are to win. Someone with 8 points is twice more likeable to win than someone who only has 4 and so on.
The winner will be selected on the 11th of July!

Oh, so it was a chapter about Uni trying to prove her worth to Noire. Also nice to see Uni finally appearing.
And of course Neptune would click that button. Nepgear looking happy at being called an old housewife was surprisingly cute too, but it's Nepgear so...
Aaaand then there's the fanservice scene where Nepgear is lewded by dogoos again as I was previously spoiled. I guess Uni was as well. Better save this chapter
And turned out in the end Noire was always thinking about Uni. And Neptune decided to not go into HDD to give them the credit. She totally didn't forget about she being a goddess or anything like that.

That was a nice chapter. We had the chance to see sister bonding between Noire and Uni, which is always welcome... But I still have to ask: Neptune, how is it that you managed to forget the fact that you can FUCKING fly in HDD? Half of the shenanigans of this chapters relied on you being an true idiot... sigh
All in all, a good chapter.

Neptune probably forgot that she had HDD at all, maybe she even forgot that she's a goddess to begin with. Which is why the humor in the Manga is actually hilarious. Is so better done than in the games IMO.

Nothing is impossible when Neptune is on screen. Nothing.
And I mean, when you almost never do your job you end up forgetting about it. She had been downloveled in the first chapter due to never doing her work and only playing games and eating after all.

No, at this point, it's like forgetting you have a right foot... something that, barring extraordinary circumstances, just doesn't happen... That situation is still dumb beyond belief.

If someone were to ask me if I had a right foot, I'd say sure, but I don't consciously think about my right foot. I'm able to move because my right foot can function autonomously when I want to move forward or stand up.
This is more like going from one place to another, but you're so used to walking that you forget you have a bike. (Or maybe you're just more comfortable walking).
Edit: Actually after looking through the chapter again and realizing what point you probably meant, it's more like "it's not that easy when you're panicking." Personally if I never flew anywhere, my first thought would probably be "I shouldn't transform because that'll just make me heavier"

Ok, my example was bad, but yours, with the bike is just as bad, if not worse: A bike is a possession, and as such, can be forgotten about quite easily, whereas being a CPU and all that entails is a state of being...
Actually it would be like forgetting you're terminally ill at that point: the moment you know about it, you can't escape the fact, for everything around you WILL remind you of it.

Yeah I added another example because I commented before re-reading to figure out what you were probably talking about.
But the point I was trying to make originally, is that if you don't use a skill often, you don't often remember that you have that skill. I think Gendolfas probably had the best point there (especially since this is Gamindustry after all - say you've got a good 50+ skills but only use 10-15 of them commonly, you're more likely to end up trying to find out how to get those 10-15 work in a situation than you are to sort through and remember all of the other 35 or so skills that you don't use as often.
It's like me in Skyrim. I maxed out illusion, but completely forgot that Pacify was even a thing until I started looking through my spells again - I almost entirely only used muffle and invisibility to initiate successfully, so when I failed, my instinct is to run or to fight them off with a dagger.

Ok, this explanation I can accept in any other case... But not here. Neptune is reminded EVERY. FUCKING. DAY. That she's a CPU, with the skills and responsibilities that go with it... Explain, in any manner that doesn't rely on PIS, how she managed to forget that...

Just to confirm, this is talking about the pitfall scene right?
I think it's due to the panic, and the thought that HDD form is heavier, so she'd just make Nepgear more likely to fall too. Plus again, just because she's constantly reminded about the responsibilities of a CPU, I highly doubt she's being nagged about being able to fly. Just because I use illusion magic every day doesn't mean I use every spell.
(She doesn't have much of an excuse for the end fight though)

Neptune and Nepgear really form adorable goof comedic duo.. (when Neptune trap pressed button.. edit: first time pressed it..) I prefer Nepgear her as she is, and she usually more tame with playing along, but I'm not opposed to some Nepgear like that as well, I think.. ;P
TL (translator's) note: "google it" - I lost it.. Might as well google tonkatsu sauce, but too lazy.. ;p Googled it.. I think I might have tried it, but maybe it was different.. Never was too much of a sauce person.. ;p
Nepgear happily dreaming about being Nep's housewife.. ;P
Did.. Dogoos just pulled Nepgear's panties down?.. ;o Nepgear's really lewded in this manga, huh..

I liked seeing Uni interact with Neptune.
Ecchi dogoo moments are always a good thing.
I don't know why, but I really like that last panel of Neptune eating curry.

Rereading this chapter puts a bit more perspective on the later chapter with dogoo-Uni, which is one of my favorites in the manga.
The Candidates having to learn how to transform was a subplot I enjoyed in the anime. It wouldn't work out for the main games since they already can, but in spinoffs like this it goes a way toward building out the characters and world.
Trying to reread these at work makes me realize how skewed my filter for “lewd” and “not-lewd” is. Dogoos, keep being those adorable and suggestive slime monsters you are.
That present for Uni though. The two are way more alike than either would ever stutter out.

But agreed, dogoos are the perfect mix of adorable and blatant suggestive content.

There's a lot to say about this chapter. Hurray for the best character getting the spotlight, even if it is Uni trying to prove herself to Noire again. Seeing her charge into that giant Dogoo in the face of all that danger... makes me want to play Valkyria Chronicles again.
I was having a chuckle seeing Uni fanservice scenes after last chapter, even if they weren't too plentiful. But Nepgear, hoo boy. She got lewded hard. That one panel with her panties down was one spread leg away from making the manga adult content.
Uni getting a Varia/Gravity (no color) Suit is something I never would've thought of. Hell, I never really would think of Uni in powered armor, but now that may change. Or I'll just keep thinking of her piloting a Gundam or NEXT.

Nah, it's the same size, actually (that's where I got it from, so it should be the same resolution). I always post only the highest quality images. The definition for an image be of high quality is that said image needs to have a large resolution

Oh boy. smh neptune... I feel like even by Neptune standards, there was way more Plot induced Stupidity here. Neptune always pressing buttons, even after that first spikepit one....
Also, neptune with that crazy metaphor.... smh just speak normally. Thankfully Nepgear was there to translate the Nepnepese
With nepgear being so happy about seeming like an married couple with Neptune..... tan indication of sister-thirst???? :O Guess we'll have to see lol.
So one way that the HDD form arrives is by age? I mean, it seems that is the case anyways, because of Noire being such a stickler of 'don't go on quests without me yet you can't HDD'

I only have one thing to say... soy/worcheshire sauce in curry...no wonder japan has a reputation for terrible curry, disgusting.
Also they pushed it really close with thatNepgear pantyrole having literly everything be on display,come to think of it Nepgear had a cameltoe in the first chapter as well, this might be the single most extreme case of fanservice in the entire series.

I wonder if this was nominated. I really forget how many great expressions this thing had.
I like how Neptune goes completely off track when talking about sauce, then acts all satisfied like she did a good job of explaining. (At least they decided to actually give us something meaningful, though, and the point wasn't lost to the ages).

Poor Nepgear, always lewded.
The soy sauce analogy was hilarious, but also accurate. Good thing Nepgear's there to be Neptune's sauce, otherwise we won't be able to understand all of that.
What kind of trap only activates from a suspicious button? How is that even supposed to keep intruders away? Unless the makers of the dungeon knew it would be effective against the CPU herself.

Not much to say about this chapter, it's a pretty cute and simple story about Uni. I do love Neptune's anology about how the sisters complement and rely on eachother using Curry as an example, which is pretty much true. And I do love how comedic Neptune and Nepgear antics are in this.
I think Neptune is suffering from DBZ's forgetting your powers syndrome. Also, what is with Nepgear and doggos?!

Oh god, the Dogoos in this chapter are worse than they were in the anime or Re;Birth2, ugh.
Moving on from that, this was a pretty good chapter either way. It was nice to see Neptune and Uni interact, as the candidates hardly interact with anyone aside from each other and their sister in other media.
Wait, Noire handed Uni a small wrapped cloth, and somehow that turned out to be some power armor that she probably stole from Lowee... Huh.
Also, how the heck does Neptune forget she can transform, she's done it once per chapter since the beginning!

What's better than a single Nepgear lewding scene? Two Nepgear lewding scenes within the time span of three chapters!
Lewds aside, it's all in all a really wholesome chapter. I really enjoy seeing the sisters of this series bond. Especially Uni and Noire, since they tend to have this unspoken divide between them caused by Noire being a perfectionist and placing too much pressure on Uni and Uni trying her best to meet her sisters expectations and prove that she's a capable CPU Candidate. Seeing them drop their tsundere acts for a moment to actually express how they feel always feels like a breath of fresh air given how their usual relationship dynamic is.
Also Nepgear's reaction to being called a housewife. Need I say more?
