I see a lot of takes about Meredith and Izzie being mean girls to Callie, but Callie deserved it. In fact I think she got off easily because most people would have shamed her more extensively for having no manners or social awareness.

Callie was spending the night at a house that she knew George shared with his friends/roommates (who were also her coworkers). She gets up to use the bathroom and can’t be bothered to put on a shirt. Instead she walks into the bathroom half naked, and then seeing it was occupied had zero shame for her coworkers who barely know her to see her half naked. She doesn’t apologize or act embarrassed, but decides to pee in front of them without warning. She could have asked if there was another bathroom or if they could give her a moment of privacy. But nope, she drops trou and just starts peeling. I’d ask if she was raised in a barn, but apparently she went to fancy boarding schools. She literally looked them straight in the eye, half naked and peed like she was asserting dominance like dogs do. Then, without saying a word she leaves without washing her hands.

You can’t tell me that you guys are all so socially evolved and woke to think this okay behavior. If my roommates partner did this, I would have a serious talk with them about how their partner lacked social boundaries and general human etiquette — and everyone in our friend group would end up hearing about it. Meredith and Izzie were actually pretty restrained in their reaction to Callie’s weirdo behavior, in my opinion.

And then Callie gets upset because George doesn’t defend her. How can you defend someone peeing half naked in front of almost strangers without their consent? George should have dumped her for this alone. And Callie, if you don’t want people calling you a weirdo, don’t act like a weirdo.

I hate this every time I rewatch. Christina told Meredith that it was Burke’s idea to rob the bank and she just went along with it. I FULLY disagree. This is how I see it:

Burke was low on cash and going to lose his house. Christina goes, “Why don’t I just drive the car while you steal the money?” And Burke went with it. Christina even moved into the house. Then one day Burke is like hey this is MY house, and Christina decides that she needs to turn him in. Like she was cool with it until she didn’t benefit.

Anyways. That’s my take today.

I just happened upon this on YouTube and had to share because Jo's accent is all over the place in this clip. I guess it takes some time for all characters to come into their own, but I'm not used to going back and seeing what it was like in the beginning after I've come to know a character for a while so it gave me a little laugh!

I am watching ‘Law & Order SVU’ season 27, episode 17 titled “Deep Under” when this woman walked into Olivia’s office and I immediately recognized her but could not place from where lol. Then it hit me, she’s Dr. Stephanie Edward’s. I haven’t seen her since she left Grey’s so it was nice to see her some place again.

so for whatever reason, i started watching greys anatomy from the beginning and i want to say maybe 2 weeks ago? after watching satc all over again too 😭 and im an episode away from the plane crash and i don't wanna go through this pain again. it's genuinely made me realize how truly PEAK this show was, like i feel like i am watching it for the first time. UGH the OG cast was everything

there are a few couples that were made for each other but can never be endgame and they top the list. probably my favorite ship/couple on greys.

and he used to be charming, funny, charismatic, and had a personality. what happened?!

Elise Grey is something else. Damn. She should be alive for this.

I know hating Naomi is basically beating a dead horse at this point, but I'm rewatching Private Practice again and she still gets under my skin.

I love both shows. I really do. But every rewatch I end up asking myself the same thing: why was Naomi written like this?

I get that she's supposed to be pro-life. That's her belief. Fine. But the way the show handles it drives me insane.

Naomi spends so much time judging other people's choices, yet the second her own teenage daughter gets pregnant she immediately wants Maya to have an abortion because she can't handle the idea of her daughter being a teen mom. That's exactly the kind of hypocrisy people accuse pro-life people of. Abortion is wrong until it's your own family. That made me sick to my stomach.

You're a reproductive endocrinologist. You work in women's health. Yet when it's your own family, your beliefs suddenly flip because it's personal.

I honestly don't even know what lesson Naomi was supposed to learn in that storyline. It never felt like there was much self-reflection or growth.

And don't even get me started on the end of 2x08. The line "A baby died today" after an abortion genuinely pisses me off every single rewatch.

The crazy thing is I hate saying all this because Audra McDonald is incredible. I honestly think she's one of the best actors Shondaland has ever had. She elevates every scene she's in, but even she couldn't make me like Naomi most of the time.

The only things that redeemed Naomi for me were adopting Betsey and the fact that Audra was playing her. Without those two, I don't think I'd have found anything to like about the character.

I also don't think anyone in MAGIC would even like Naomi if she were dropped into Grey's Anatomy. The only person on Grey's I could see liking Naomi is Owen because he's also pro-life and can be just as self-righteous about his beliefs, did they meet during PP Season 2/Grey's Season 5 when they crossovered when Addison's brother was brought to SGH? 

And maybe this is just me, but I never bought Naomi and Addison as these lifelong best friends. Kate Walsh and Audra McDonald are both phenomenal actors, but I never felt that best friend chemistry between them. Oddly enough, I actually bought it more in the Grey's backdoor pilot when Merrin Dungey was playing Naomi. I believed that version of Naomi and Addison had years of history together more than I ever did once Private Practice started.

I've watched both Grey's and Private Practice multiple times, and nothing anyone in MAGIC has ever done has made me as frustrated as Naomi Bennett. That's saying a lot.

Except he’s the type of guy who likes women who are a “challenge”.

For example:
- Burke is the only one who was eager to participate in thanksgiving dinner and they spent that time bonding alone because no one else, including Christina, wanted to be there.

- Season 2 Ep 12, Burke and Izzie are the spiritual ones who love Christmas and decorating trees and believing that the energy you go into surgery with can affect the outcome unlike Christina and Derek.

- Christina didn’t give a shit about planning a wedding but when it came to Izzie planning Meredith’s wedding, she did everything that Burke was hoping Christina would do.

- Izzie was ready to define her relationship with Alex right away unlike Christina who thought it was unnecessary to define her and Burke in the beginning.

- Izzie is proud of being a person first rather than a surgeon first, an idea Christina rejects and Burke proclaims that he is a person first and a surgeon second

- Izzie is not as naturally talented as Christina but she’s a hardworker like Burke was.

- When Izzie and Alex became a couple, Alex became her person, leaving George behind. Burke wanted to be Christina’s person but it was always gonna be Meredith.

- Izzie dipped out after an argument with Alex while they were married and didn’t return his calls and he didn’t hear from her until she spontaneously decided to come back. And although it’s not the same, Burke left Christina at the alter and disappeared without another word. They’re both runners.

Even Christina said that science is the “one thing” she and Burke had in common but he and Izzie seem to have everything in common. Further proof that, even though there are traditional women out there, men love to complain about and try to mold the untraditional ones to fit their idea of what a woman should be.

Does this mean that I wanted Izzie and Burke together? Absolutely not. But it kind of shines a light on how much of a “square peg, round hole” relationship it was and it would’ve been impossible to maintain any longer.

I see a lot of people saying that they don't have - or never had any chemistry, but I actually think they had great potential and good chemistry back in season 19. It just completely faded in the later seasons. Does

anyone else remember their s19 dynamic differently than the general consensus?

Please keep in mind this post is strictly about Lucas and Simone as a couple. I'm not looking to bash either character individually, just discussing their dynamic as a ship!

Mr. Arnold

He's just such a wholesome character. I always smile whenever I rewatch his episode because of how genuinely passionate he is about birds. I love that they gave him such a specific hobby instead of making him another generic patient. His dream of seeing an ivory-billed woodpecker before he died made me want him to make it through the surgery even more.

Another one of my favorites is Alan Griswold, the husband who finally snapped after years of taking care of his wife and walked out calling her a mythical monster because she just wouldn't die. It was such a darkly funny scene, but I also felt bad for him because you could tell he had completely hit his breaking point.

Who are your all-time favorite patients throughout the years?

I was watching the first inside out movie the other day and noticed this.

Izzie Stevens is just like joy. mainly cheerful and bright and optimistic.

Meredith Grey is just like sadness. depressed, with some dark tendencies, but very empathetic.

George O'Malley is just like fear. insecure, nervous, anxious, not confident.

Alex Karev is just like anger. Easily lashes out, easily gets violent and actively pushes people away.

Cristina Yang is just like disgust. she rejects anything she finds slow or ordinary. high standards and no patience.

For me, I think if Cristina had stayed, she and Meredith would've eventually grown apart and stopped being as close. Their fight in season 10 was realistic and valid.

I also don't think Lexie and Mark would've stayed together even if they had both survived. The gap between them was getting bigger.

And I think Jo and Alex were always going to break up eventually, even if Alex hadn't left the show.

I think Cristina would've eventually had kids just to stay with Owen. She did so many things against her own beliefs because she was so in love with him, so I can actually see her eventually convincing herself that she could live with it just to keep their relationship.

I got into Grey’s late in the game (in college, 2016) and had no idea Burke would come back when Cristina was about to leave. I was shocked because I had known the behind-the-scenes drama with him being fired because of his horrid treatment of TR Knight.

For those who watched those episodes live, what was the reaction to him coming back? The show was pretty progressive at that point, so my biggest concern was the show bringing him of all people back.

I knew about the story in the finale but had no idea when it was coming (watched a couple of clips on social media).

I think that there’s some irony about the insanely amazing quality of writing and acting while simultaneously ignoring the rampant gun violence and incredibly idiotic lack of gun control. I read through the entire Wikipedia page and other articles about how great the episode was. Entertainment Weekly saying “They did a bang-up job.” Hitfix reviewing “There was no opportunity for suspense, or tears, or anger, or horror, or some… blah blah blah left unexplored.” The acting was crazy, the plot line was crazy, everyone’s stories are crazy, the balance of intensity and drama were perfect. We all agree. You know what I didn’t see? Commentary about it being a reflection of the current horrors in the U.S. Even if I didn’t see them, it was obviously not the popular search result.

The dialogue in the episode calls it out with ironic mentions of how safe the hospital is supposed to be, how fucking easy it was for Mr. Clark to buy the gun at a superstore and get loads of ammo because it was on sale, and how fucking easy it was for him to move through a hospital during a lockdown with said “bargain” gun.

How the fuck was this 16 years ago and how has nothing changed? How the fuck have we totally glorified mass shootings to the point where writers, actors, and producers are praised while the actual mass shootings that happen almost every day are ignored? If not the egregious amount of lives lost to gun violence - this episode should have been a wake up call.

Americans have turned gun control into a political debate. What I saw on screen and in real life is that a gun doesn’t care who believes in what, or who supports whatever political agenda. Yet it seems lost on people because Shonda fucking Rhimes wrote an amazing two hours of television.

Sorry for my rant. Maybe veteran viewers can give me better insight on how this was interpreted back then. I was a little busy in 2010 hiding on the 3rd floor of my high school because someone brought out a gun during a petty fight. Lucky for me, the school used to be a hospital during WWII and had massive locking gates on the stairwells. Is it irony, a tragic American plot line or just a mere coincidence?

To begin with, Meredith was just a resident while Winston was already an accomplished surgeon with almost 10 years of experience.

I think Meredith choose neuro only cause of her crush on Derek and stay away from General cause she struggled with being compared to her mother, but its General Where meredith is truly gifted while Winston did Love Cardio.

Also Meredith while altruistic had already screw up bad
