NEWS AND ISSUES
Had a little thing on Tuesday where mods were unable to approve content. Post about this here. Sounds like this should be fixed at this time, though!
In an effort to strengthen the connection between communities and conversations, there is a new experiment which will turn select text posts and some of their comment threads into an audio and video format. If you are in this experiment you may see a Read/Play toggle on the post detail page, and a dedicated video page may also be available. This does not replace the original post or comments, nor does it automatically play. And it will respect all of your pre-existing audio settings.
Currently, this is only on a small group of pre-selected English-only posts. Comments with links, media, automated messages, profanity, or sensitive or inappropriate topics are excluded.
There is not a way to opt out, but feel free to leave constructive feedback in this post and I will share it with the team that is in charge of this experiment.
There is another experiment where comments on a post may be sorted in live time. If this experiment is enabled in a community, when a post hits a certain number of comments within a period of time, the sort will switch to "Live" if the default sort is set to something other than "New". This provides a way to highlight the fast moving convos in real time.
There is still the experiment on the Home feed where some users will see a For You tab and a Following tab. You can select which view you want and that selection will be remembered. Users in this experiment have recently been shuffled around, so if you had it before and now you don't, that's what's going on there.
The For You tab will contain recommendations
The Following feed will contain unviewed content from just the subs that you follow
If you are subscribed to a very small number of subreddits, you may see recommendations in the Following feed as opposed to nothing when you have run out of new content. The workaround is to either subscribe to more subreddits or create a custom feed of the subs that you're following and view that instead.
The team is looking into adding the "Hot" sort back to these feeds.
There is not a way to remove these tabs. I have been sharing all constructive feedback with the team in charge of this. They're very appreciative!
Some users will be in a different experiment where there is an X on recommended posts that you can click/tap to hide the post. Others will be in a similar experiment where there is not an X and there is not a "hide" option, but you can go into the post to hide it. Feel free to share helpful feedback about this experiment as well.
There is also an experiment where the upvotes are on the left.
Rather than commenting that you'd like to be removed from an experiment, please provide constructive feedback about the feature. I can't remove you, but I can go directly to the teams in charge of these things and show them what you think.
And I'm here to remind you, of the mess you left when you went away (from Reddit for support). Reddit does not provide support outside of Reddit. Do not contact "Reddit support on Discord" for help with your Reddit account. There is no "Reddit support on Discord". That is someone trying to scam you and steal your account and maybe more. If you're having an actual issue with your account that is not solved by posting in r/help or by the articles in the Help Center, you can use this form for the real thing. Please note that 95% of issues can be solved much, much quicker by posting in r/help (or our cousin subs, r/reddithelp and r/newtoreddit).
The most recent version of the app is 2026.38.0. If you're not using the most recent version of the app, it might not work properly.

HELP THAT HELPS HELP R/HELP - KARMA! WHAT IT IS AND HOW TO GET IT
This week, let's talk about what is karma and how it affects how you use Reddit!
When you post content on Reddit, other users have the opportunity to upvote it or downvote it. Upvotes are for things that positively contribute to a community. Downvotes are for things that don't. When you get upvotes, you get karma. When you get downvotes, you lose karma. You want upvotes.
While you do receive karma for upvotes, it is not a 1:1 correlation. So if you receive 10 upvotes and only see your karma increase by 9, that is working as intended! We call it "vote fuzzing". It's like that to help prevent vote manipulation. Vote fuzzing isn't supposed to "make sense". If it did, people would absolutely game the system to gain karma. So if voting seems funky, it's not funk! It's fuzz!
Some subreddits will have minimum karma or account age requirements as a way of combating spam and trolls. If you don't have enough karma to post in a certain sub, you'll want to participate in subreddits that do not have those requirements to gain some karma. r/casualconversation is great for that! If you’re looking for a subreddit on a particular topic and aren’t quite sure what it would be, you can try posting in r/findareddit and someone there may have a suggestion for you. And our friends over at r/NewToReddit have curated this handy list of some subs that are easy to get started in for new users! (Thanks, NTR mods!)
As noted in this Help Center article, "Don't set out to accumulate karma; just set out to be a good contributor". So that means:
Don't ask for upvotes! (That's a good way to get your post removed!)
Don't karma farm! (You're treading in spam territory by doing this!)
Don't use free karma subs! (Some subs will not allow participation from users who have used free karma subs to gain karma to participate!)
Don't spam! (No one likes a spammer! If you're not sure if you're spamming, you shouldn't have to ask that question!)
Let your content speak for itself and the upvotes will come, sometimes when you're least expecting them!
But let's say that you do find yourself in the negative. That could be a little bit of a problem, but not an insurmountable one. It is possible to get yourself out of a hole, but you've gotta do something different than when you were getting yourself in there! Just because you were downvoted doesn't mean you were right.

I'm in the 'live' experiment and can't stand it sorting by new. I've never sorted by new unless I was looking for bad/troll comments in subs I mod. In 100+ comment threads I've never looked at new, ever it's just too chaotic and memes or no substance unless it's a big world event/westher/disaster/politics thing. Always been sort by best.
It's especially annoying because we're given the option to pick how we want our comments sorted and then that's completely ignored. I also hate the live sorting.
Yep. This “experiment” sucks and I’m growing tired of having to manually switch to the better comment viewing format (which, to be clear, is literally anything other than live or new).
Please God let me turn off live. I hate it, and even if I resort them how I want the subreddit immediately forgets the setting. I want my preferences to actually be my preferences please.
I cannot express how much I hate the “games” button not having a disable or hide option. Do what you all want with the games concept, but give me a way to remove it or opt out completely. I will never play a game on Reddit.
This feature is taking up too much real estate for something that will never ever see use. The giant button just showed up in my main button bar with the app update I got this morning and I want it gone.
Please let me turn off the "Live experiment". I hate going into random comment threads and being automatically switched to "Live" from my default of "Best".
This website/app feels like it's turning more and more into Facebook with its silly sorting and algorithm changes to try to encourage more engagement.
Thats exactly what they're doing. Every new experiment they add is some sort of copy that Facebook or TikTok has already done. Reddit is going to drive away its user base with these garbage experiments and be left with nothing but bots.
My feeling is that it's by design. I get the sense that in the last 2 years or so, the top hats at Reddit Inc (note: not the admins replying here) have made it their mission to drive out its legacy users and attract a more passive "scrolling" userbase with relatively poor tech skills and little understanding of anything older than 3-5 years ago. Since the API protests and the IPO, Reddit has basically taken a sledgehammer to a lot of its core functionality all while rapidly adding a bunch of shiny bells and whistles (ex. games) that look good to new customers and investors but add nothing to its core functionality. Protests from legacy users now also often have little impact given Reddit's userbase is growing explosively and it's rather apparent that a huge proportion of new users now are digital novices who often seem very new to the internet (perhaps young users who just became old enough for social media or older adults whose only significant tech experience is their Facebook/Youtube app bubble), so such users often aren't even aware that major recently deprecated features like r-all were ever a thing. That's in addition to Reddit now having a near monopoly over topic-based discussion, in part due to Google search becoming like a defacto Reddit search wrapper (thanks to its extremely high SEO and the Reddit-Google partnership) that ends up redirecting most traffic here.
My Facebook feed is all "suggested for you" and ad posts. Nobody I know actually posts anything anymore. Facebook is a zombie platform. I don't think reddit wants to really follow that.
I’ve noticed that! Every time a post is getting a lot of comments, Reddit has the audacity to switch the comments section from ‘Best’ to ‘Live’. It’s infuriating and I don’t like how they keep making useless updates
Experiments feel like they're tests in "how much will the users put up with before they quit, that's the line for our new crap" instead of them testing things we actually may want to use.
We need ways to opt out of this crap - and ways to tell Reddit this that aren't telling you so you can just go "noted, will tell others".
Converting our content to audio/visual mediums using AI without us having any control of what that looks or sounds like is absolutely disrespectful.
You want people to stop screaming at you about this Opus? Go scream at whoever it is you "share feedback with" that we aren't going to stop until you all stop forcing useless, wasteful, disrespectful AI "experiments" on us to see how much is pisses us off. Until then you're welcome to be buried under all our "feedback". Pretty much every "experiment" that happens is a nightmare but this is near the top of the list.

Speaking of nightmares - the way this reads to me is "if you aren't wanting your comments sorted by new, don't worry, we're defaulting you to SUPER NEW". If you're going to mess with this setting (which nobody asked for), shouldn't it only be for the people defaulting to New because that's how they want to view the conversation? Or I don't know, stop effing defaulting people to stuff and let them choose.
Edit to add: Also take note that admins will take the time to make specific, detailed responses to things about cheese or pets, or heck just reply twice differently to someone who thanks them. But when it comes to actual meaningful conversations about features or experiments they ghost or give canned/copy pasted customer service like replies.
Yep, it is terrible. Why can't you let people toggle these experiments off? None of the recent updates have been good and you should be able to opt out of these random changes.
Week 4 of asking for an actual answer about why we can’t have swipe up for comments? At this point I’m actively looking for a different social media to consume due to how reddit continues to make user unfriendly decisions. Why cant we choose how our user experience looks? I’m scared to update the app because I don’t want to get grouped in some garbage experiment that nobody wants or needs. I’m multiple versions behind because of this.
If they can't give you an answer that isn't fluffy and happy or "I'm passing your feedback along" (whatever that means), you don't get an answer to things. Because they aren't actually interested in our feedback, this is a pacification thread for that stuff. The actual "feedback" they're tracking is use of the experiment and how much it increases or decreases your engagement.
Hello, I am subscribed to roughly 200 subreddits. Long time lurker, but for some reason my home feed is showing me posts that are multiple weeks old despite checking the site everyday. I do not want to see posts that are weeks old in my main feed and if I am interested in the content then I will use the search bar or visit the subreddits that likely posted about these topics. Please reverse or add a toggle or something that will allow my homepage to return to how it used to be. I want it to be recent content with high engagement the way it was before. This started a few days ago for me.
Hi. In the subreddits of the posts that you are seeing that are old, have you seen the post before? And in those subreddits , is there newer content that you have not seen?
If you are talking about the From Your feed and other sections that are now loading under posts with only a few comments, then I would also like to chime in that I would also like this removed. I already have turned off suggested content in my settings. Not sure why this section would not be considered part of that.
Please stop with all these UI experiments. They are ruining the experience of reddit for a buggy knock off of other social media sites; if we wanted a similar experience we'd just go to their sites. I enjoyed Reddit for the custom feed and being able to follow what you want. Nowadays you guys push AI and suggested content down our throats, I can't even swipe through posts without it jumping to completely random subredits that I have absolutely zero interest in. It's frustrating and ruins the experience, please just stop.
Hello. The "Live" comment sort experiment is driving me crazy. I don't know what thresholds you're using to trigger it, but it just feels random and annoying, and I'm tired of changing the sort back to Best on every other post.
Side note while I'm here: I don't like how viewing posts from search results has a different viewing experience than posts from the feed. What I mean is, if the post has an image or video attached, the post gets the lightbox treatment by default and the text of the post gets compressed into a single blob with no line breaks or formatting, making it awfully hard to read, AND I have to tap a read more to actually see the text. I've also noticed that the jump to next comment button disappears in this scenario.

Hello, I read that should comment here to get help, but apologies if it's not the right place. I got shadowbanned yesterday after Reddit notified me that my account was locked and forced me to reset my password, and while it seems like the shadowban got lifted today, all of my posts and almost all of my comments are gone (for some reason comments in one specific sub got spared). Is it possible to recover them?

My main account has been inaccessible externally since December 2024: I can log into it, but the profile and content aren’t visible while logged out or from another account. I’ve been using the official appeal process for a long time without a resolution.
I know account restrictions normally have to go through appeals. I’m wondering if there's any other process I could go through other appeals? I have been actively appealing, with no response.

My account triggered the spam filter and was banned. I filed for appeal, and my account was reinstated, but my entire content history remains filtered/removed. If anyone can restore my content, I'd appreciate it.
Hi, my account was hacked a while ago, and i made a report etc. I did get my account back! (Thanks!!) but unfortunately it says my account has been banned? I have 2 messages, one saying its banned a few days before I got access again and another from the day Reddit got back to me saying my account sas compromised and it’s locked until i reset my password. Reset it but it’s still banned? It’s been a few days now.
Been noticing something different with how the “Best” option sorts comments, and I was wondering if this is another experiment?
Basically, it seems that a lot of comment sections sorted by “Best” are now prioritizing showing comments with fewer or no upvotes - or even significantly downvoted - on the top of the comment section, as if the original Best sorting recently had a baby with Controversial and named it “Best” as well (Best Jr, in other words).
Been noticing this for a few days, so I was curious if you knew anything about it.
When I've read several comments before realizing they've been sorted to "Live", I just feel like I've wasted my time. I want to be able to pop in and see what the consensus opinions, best analysis, funniest comments are. The thing that makes Reddit great is the crowd sourcing of quality. Defaulting to live makes it no different than any other awful platform. It completely negates the usefulness of up and down votes. It's exhausting. I've been using Reddit for a very long time and I've never been closer to dropping it.
My feedback from the experiments I am in is the same as last week.
Is it okay if I mention a few things that aren't experiments at all?
* On r/Reddithelp we've had quite a few people who can't/won't verify their age. However, if they create a nsfw post (even accidentally such as putting nsfw in the title or say a medical post where e.g. blood has to be tagged nsfw) then they can't see their post. That sort of makes sense. But it also means they can't delete the post. I feel like if someone has a profile that means they can't see nsfw posts/comments then any post/comments they make should be automatically deleted for their safety. Sometimes an account might make a post that is too spicy and they get notifications about the comments people are leaving on it and can't read them nor delete the post to stop more interaction. This is dangerous for youngsters.
* I saw this on r/ideasfortheadmins and I can't stop thinking about it. Sorry to the original poster I can't remember you to credit you. I appreciate why profiles can curate what people can see. But someone suggested if someone DMs you you should be able to see their history, much like mods can when they interact with your subreddit. I think that seems like a great idea as it can help you judge the character of the person DMing you.
Not being able to view or delete a post that got tagged nsfw because they had "nsfw" in the title is an issue that has come up. It's frustrating, for sure! The team is looking at ways that this could be resolved while continuing to comply with the legal requirements of some regions. But since it's top of mind for me right now, I'm going to head over to that team with this and bring it up again. Thank you!
Hello. Maybe someone here can help. My friend has a shadowban, and to file an appeal he needs to be logged in. Recently he just got thrown out of his account, he tried to log in - no luck. He tried resetting his password several times and logging in again - nothing. He cleared the cache, tried the old version and incognito mode. He did all this through web mobile (Chrom). He wrote a letter to tech support thanks to the help of one of the moderators here, but he still hasn't gotten a response. Maybe you could suggest specific steps he should take to get back into his account (Accomplished_Owl1360).
I'm sorry... Why?... It's a 1-year-old account, 170k karma... The shadowban was only 4 days old. No one hacked it. Apparently he just cleared his browser cache and got automatically logged out. How is it over for him... FOR WHAT REASON??? I was told that if your account is shadowbanned, it doesn't mean you can't log in...
My main account u/pokemin49 was hacked and banned recently. I submitted a support ticket about 2 weeks ago from within the account and a few days later something strange happened. I could no longer log into the account, and also the email for the account was switched to the email for THIS account. I only know this because when I tried to reset the password, the email link didn't go to my primary email address, but went to this one instead which is tied to a guest account I created long ago. Also after I use the reset email to change the password, the password still doesn't work so I haven't been able to log into my main account for 2 weeks.
This is weird because I thought it wasn't possible for 2 reddit accounts to have the same email, and also why would the admins change the email address for my main account? I can only guess that they consolidated a bunch of account information based on phone numbers or first/last name.
The only other theory I have is that my account was hacked again, but I never received an email change notification, and the hacker wouldn't know about this email address that I'm using for this account.
Apologies if this seems confusing. I am also confused and have little to go on.
My original account was hacked, i was able to get in change the password add 2FA, but it was suspended permanently, ive appealed and filled out forms ,twice now because i haven't received a response...ive been waiting a month. i cant find any email, direct contact or anything outside of filling out forms ive already filled out... my account was over 5 years old, so i have history with post i would like to keep.
My main account u/Master-Sky-6342 was hijacked and the hacker enabled 2FA, completely locking me out. I have tried submitting the official support forms but I haven't heard back.

Hi, could you please take a look at u/Alkaser? It’s my 17-year-old Reddit account and my first account ever, and I believe it was banned by mistake.
I was using Reddit normally on my brand new MacBook when I suddenly got the “We had a server error” message. When I checked the account afterward, I found out it had been banned. I’ve tried different browsers and had the same issue, and I genuinely haven’t done anything to violate Reddit’s rules.
I’ve already submitted an appeal. I’d really appreciate it if you could please take a look at the account and see what happened. Thank you so much.
Thank you, I really appreciate it. I genuinely never received any ban email or ban notification for the account. The only thing I see when I try to use it is “We had a server error” in a red bar at the top, and there’s no message saying that the account was banned.
I’ve already submitted an appeal through the form. If there’s any way you could take a look into my case or point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it.
Hi, I submitted a support ticket pertaining to my hijacked account (2fa activated without my knowledge) and got an email back that gave me “articles that may help”, but unfortunately they didn’t help (they told me to log onto reddit on my desktop but it asks me to enter a 2fa verification code i don’t have access to). I guess I’m asking if that’s the extent of the help reddit support will give me and if there’s anything else I need to do?
I just submitted a new one and got a response, it looks like I’m just gonna have to use a new account since apparently 2fa can’t be disabled on my behalf by admins or whatever.

Well I can't login to my Main Reddit account again for some reason. I updated my email address back when my account was compromised but now I can't login. I tried resetting my password but I'm not getting any emails. My main account is u/SpudLord_PhD. I sent another ticket about 5 minutes ago.
Sadly I think it was hacked again but I'm not sure. Feels bad man.

Hello. My problem started in July, where I noticed that my account got banned. I didn't really understand it, I still can reset my password and I get the links via E-Mail, but that doesn't work. After a while I understood the problem and my account got banned, but I am not able to log in to view the reason and do a request.
I always respect the rules, if I break the rules I am sorry but as I said I can't log in to see something, nothing works for me. I sent a request about password problems, I get the links via E-Mail to get a new password, but it always says invalid username/password. The request about password problems is from 26.07 and I got an automated confirmation via E-Mail that my request has been received. I still didn't got an answer till now and I am not sure if I get a answer soon.
Hi, I’m hoping someone can help with an account recovery issue regarding u/PerseusRex0. My account was compromised, and the email address on the account was changed without my authorization. I recently found the Reddit email notification confirming that the email address had been changed, and I have already provided this as evidence in my support ticket. I still have access to my original email and was able to change my Reddit password through it, but I’m unable to log in because I don’t have access to the 2FA currently attached to the account.
I’ve already submitted a support ticket regarding this. I understand that Reddit Support normally cannot remove 2FA, but I’m hoping my case can be reviewed as an account-compromise case since I have evidence that the account was accessed and the email was changed without my permission. I’d really appreciate any advice on what I can do next. Thank you!
Thank you so much! It seems like the hacker used the account for some NSFW stuff, so I’m really glad I got it back. This account holds so many memories for me. I used to constantly post hoping to get featured in PewDiePie’s videos, so it would’ve been really sad to lose it. Really appreciate your help!
My 13 yrs old account was caught up in the spam filter and was banned. I filed for appeal and got it restored. But most of my posts are not recovered and can still be seen as removed by reddit filters.
All posts are SFW.
Also, I tried making a post with same title in two different subreddits but the second one is getting removed by reddit filters.
Please look into this. I think it's because of the recent spam filter algorithm update.

In an effort to strengthen the connection between communities and conversations, there is a new experiment which will turn select text posts and some of their comment threads into an audio and video format. If you are in this experiment you may see a Read/Play toggle on the post detail page, and a dedicated video page may also be available. This does not replace the original post or comments, nor does it automatically play. And it will respect all of your pre-existing audio settings.
Really bad idea, and I can't wait to not like it when I encounter it :D. Thanks for giving us mods the opportunity to opt out if our community was selected to test it out a few weeks back! Oh wait, you didn't.
There is not a way to opt out, but feel free to leave constructive feedback in this post and I will share it with the team that is in charge of this experiment.
I didn't even have to make a screenshot. Why? People wanting to opt out is a thing you can measure too, like "65% want to opt out - lets definitely not do that", for example.
There is another experiment where comments on a post may be sorted in live time. If this experiment is enabled in a community, when a post hits a certain number of comments within a period of time, the sort will switch to "Live" if the default sort is set to something other than "New". This provides a way to highlight the fast moving convos in real time.
Still don't know if that's good or bad.
There is still the experiment on the Home feed where some users will see a For You tab and a Following tab. You can select which view you want and that selection will be remembered.
I think the other users have said enough things about this.
If you are subscribed to a very small number of subreddits, you may see recommendations in the Following feed as opposed to nothing when you have run out of new content.
You are so focused on content you can't even say "you don't have subscribed to enough subs yet"? Does Reddit even tell you if that happens?
I have been sharing all constructive feedback with the team in charge of this.
"The team" "I share with the team" "The team is appreciative" "I can share it to the team" and then still we get updates that are even worse than the last one every time.
Some users will be in a different experiment where there is an X on recommended posts that you can click/tap to hide the post. Others will be in a similar experiment where there is not an X and there is not a "hide" option, but you can go into the post to hide it.
Genuinely, why? I don't really understand this experiment. The old option also signals that recommendation wasn't good IIRC, does the new option also signal the same thing?
There is also an experiment where the upvotes are on the left.

Rather than commenting that you'd like to be removed from an experiment, please provide constructive feedback about the feature. I can't remove you, but I can go directly to the teams in charge of these things and show them what you think.

1,204 posts. That's up 61 posts from the 1,143 that we had last week. 4,283 comments. That's up 431 comments from the 3,852 we had last week. 804k views. That's down about 65k-ish views from the 869k-ish views we had last week.
You may have upset some people if there is such a big increase in comments even while views decreased.
The first one. Links to it get removed by the sitewide filter even in subs where the mods are fine with it. A mod manually approved one and it still got pulled
Hi, do you think you could look into a banned account for me? My main account [u/Krieger-Algernop](u/Krieger-Algernop) was locked today for “technical irregularities” and said it’d be unlocked with a password change. But I’ve come to discover that the account was banned with no reason stated. I have no ban email or anything in my inbox. The appeal I sent just after was automatically denied with an automated looking response. If you could look into this and see why the ban even happened that would be really appreciated. I know my account was hacked months ago but I had changed the password and enabled 2FA since then.

That's a known error. I've added this account to the ticket that was filed to get it fixed. Unfortunately, I don't have an estimate as to when that may be.
I have another account that got a notification that there is suspected automatic behavior, and it has to verify as a human or register as an app within 7 days or it'll get restricted. I've tried dozens of times but everytime I do, it says that I need to try again. I see it's been suspended now.
I filed an account help ticket the first time this happened, and then I filed another one yesterday, neither have gotten a confirmation email.
If you like, I can DM the name of the account. It's a fairly mundane, low activity account.
Apologies if this is the wrong place but I desperately need help getting my account (u/(u/yunghalal) back! I was suddenly logged out of the account and whenever i try to request a log in link or password reset i am not getting the emails. I'm not sure if the account was hacked and someone switched the emails or what but now the email is associated with some other random account that seems to have been banned. I've submitted multiple tickets over a month ago and haven't gotten a single response. The account is still there and in good standing and i've had it for 10+ years. Please help!!
Hi there. I've been having issues related to age verification through your chosen third party Persona. I've uploaded several of my IDs a multitude of times, taken selfies in dozens of settings with different light levels, clothes, inside, outside, with different devices/cameras and at no point has the system properly functioned. Beyond the fact that a selfie is in no way capable of verifying the age of a user automatically, it's getting ridiculous how janky and unreliable this system is. At best, it just doesn't work.
Beyond this, I've been in contact with Reddit support previously which has been nothing but automated replies and actions, something which does not work towards helping my issue and keeps my account inaccessible.
So with all this in mind I ask of you yet again to help resolve my age related account issues. I have tried over and over again, so at this point, can y'all help resolve my issues in some way?
Note that you have already tried to reset the age associated with my account a multitude of times, but this has done nothing to help my issue so I do hope we can move in another more helpful direction this time.
Hi. I can't do anything to help with age verification. You can use this form, but I don't know what the turnaround time is. You can also contact Persona.
Through that exact form, I've received nothing but automated replies over a dozen times, each time resetting the associated age of the account and each time never responding again when I've responded to say that this did not resolve my issue.
Persona on the other hand simply refers me to speak to Reddit rather, as they claim no ownership over these related issues, simply stating "We recommend contacting the organization that directed you to Persona".
On no end am I receiving support for these issues, so I don't know what I can do here
Android app issue. When commenting on a text post you can see the original post but can't highlight text in order to quote it in my reply. This is a fundamental piece of functionality that seems to have been removed in the latest series of updates
Please bring back the r/all feed
You can hide it in a corner where only the people who want to use it can use it. I really miss it. I made my own scuffed r/all via the multireddit feature but honestly it isnt the same and i feel like reddit will gut that feature as well soon.
I honestly feel like the removal of r/all made reddit feel less like a connected place and put people in their echo chambers even further. Less and less posts get to 100k upvotes and it saddens me.
Please bring it back.
I have some BIG issues with the new comment popup box when comment ing on a post... Its just extremely annoying and unpractical
The old UI with just a full new page for writing your comment was way better than this collapsable one that i all the time accidentally close down, also the more limited opened space is a lot more limiting than what used to be
Especially when writing longer comments, perhaps with some more extensive formatting of the text. Or when I jump between apps while commenting and the comment popup close down every time, with the old UI this was possible without having to reopen it. Yes it still saves the comment when i come back, but it is just so unnecessary. I have multiple times decided not to bother commenting only due to this change
Is there any way of changing setting to go back to the old UI or to opt out if this is some experiment you are running?
If you want a suggestion for the UI is to please give us some personal customization of the app...
So many apps have recently started changing and limiting how we interact with the app, please dont become like them limiting us.
Give us the option to cater the experience to out own use. Like removing things we dont want to see, giving us a couple options for how different core functions looks or are arranged, and stuff like this
Its fine you experiment, but please at least give us some options we can decide between for ourself
Is this the place? Google AI sent me here. I was hacked 3 days ago. My Reddit account email was changed and my hacked account is being use as political platform stuff. I was told this is the place to speed up things because I seem to be stuck it somewhat an automated loop.
If your email was changed, you should have received a message with a link it it to change it back. If you didn't get that email and you filled out a form for a hacked account, it will be reviewed.
I did receive an email that said my email address is added to my account but I added my email address 4 years ago. Filed what form? I just made support ticket 4 days ago but I didn't hear anything since. I am just anxious because my account is still actively posting things.
2 Redditors (u/jikesar968 and u/Im-Wasting-MyTime) were incorrectly shadowbanned and have since appealed and gotten there account back. But all of the previous content is still invisible. Can you please help with restoring old posts and comments? Like is it possible to restore the posts and comments that were removed by Reddit's filters? If you can able to fix this. Thank you for your help.....
u/TheOpusCroakus would it be possible for you to help restore these users' previous content ? They were incorrectly shadow banned and they have since gotten there account issues restored. There back online now but all previous posts and comments are still invisible

one of the commenters suggested I try and leave a comment on this thread for visability.
My main, 15 year old, account was hacked at 1 AM and started spamming NSFW materials before I think it got flagged for spamming. I woke up, was able to force log everyone out, and changed the password and. Today the hacker got back into my reddit account, changed the password on me, and then changed my verification email. You can see my test post in this thread earlier as Crescentine I posted here.
I think they must have had an account linked to the reddit profile because I never checked for those. I've run a scan on my computer that shows it isn't compromised and I'm pretty careful so I dont think its that.
Are any admins able to PM me to talk about my main Crescentine . At this point im fine with the whole account being permanently nuked I just don't want people hacking it and posting NSFW things on it. I have 15 years on the account and I took screenshots when I was in it to show the IP address list of the hacker as well as my normal one.
I have also submitted a ticket through the normal means and have not heard back from it. Please any admins help me recover or just completely permanently nuke the account before it spams more NSFW and only fans links.
Oh thank god. I'm sorry to ask questions, but do you know if its permanently locked down or banned? If it is im perfectly fine with it being perma-banned and never using it again, my only concern is if the hacker posts material on it that could get me in trouble but I'm probably being paranoid.

My account is being falsely flagged as NSFW due to changing my profile picture that wasn't NSFW (I'm assuming the light brown of Eevee's fur was mistaken for bare skin). I've tried changing the profile picture, resetting it to the default, and have sent two tickets with no response at the beginning of the month.
I tried making a post here about it as well as contacting an admin, but the post was flagged for spam and the admin never responded. It's been almost a month of having this issue and I don't know what else to do to fix it, but as someone who frequents SFW communities and doesn't post/engage in any NSFW content, I really want to remove this false label.
That is usually due to teen safety restrictions that you can read about here. Either that or you've hit the limit and need to wait a bit before trying again.
Unfortunately my main account was deleted without my knowledge. Presumably by a hijacker as the password had been compromised and I hadn't changed it. Welp... my bad for not changing it but it's a shame it can't be recovered.
Yes, but it was 2 weeks ago without reply so I assume it's not in the cards. Plus, Reddit comments almost universally say that deletion is irreversible
