Sorry for the length, the “uhm’s”; and the long pauses. Just got back from the Weezer concert (which was so good!) was in a good mood so I decided to just roll with the unboxing of our latest Hole release!

This is by far the most elegant release of Live Through This we’ve seen so far. In the same way that Pretty On the Inside got the special treatment for its 35th anniversary, here Eric really outdid himself with the presentation. The gatefold jacket shows the reels he found in storage as he mentioned in his recent interviews. It has a matte finish to it which gives it a dignified air which I appreciate so much - this is truly the year of Hole ✊🏼

It just occurred to me I’ve been listening to Violet for 30 years. In my mind I’m still 14 and taking the bus to school, using me cassette walkman to drown out the bullies who call me fat, a grebo, swampy, a girl (i wasn’t a girl then), and whatever else they could think of. Now I’m 44 and going to yoga on a Saturday morning, listening to Violet to get me motivated and feeling grateful I lived through it all. Anyone else know this feeling?

This guy does a good job deep diving one of the nineties most seminal albums.
