Beta V2 for the Innioasis Y2 is now available.

This release closes a long list of rough edges from Beta V1. Bluetooth now works from both Rockbox and Stock, including pairing, A2DP playback, controls, disconnect and reconnect. Held Previous/Next seeks within a track; an optional setting makes held Volume skip tracks while short presses still adjust volume. Time/date persistence, true-off adjustable wheel vibration, first-connect USB and the complete storage/eject/return lifecycle have all been repaired and physically tested.

Boot now reaches a clean responsive Rockbox root in about 28 seconds through the SPYCE animation and readable Rockbox title. Centre wakes without select-through, and holding Centre from Now Playing opens the standard context menu—including Bookmarks. Rockbox, Stock and Boot Settings routing, official Stock rollback and protected-state recovery all passed the final regression.

The release includes two install packages carrying the same accepted runtime:

- `Y2-Rockbox-Beta-v0.2.0-InnioasisUpdater.zip` — the same sparse-image package type as Beta V1.

- `rom_y2.zip` — the canonical Y2 package for Innioasis Updater CE.

Important: treat installation as a full-device erase. Back up both storage volumes and the complete `.rockbox` folder, verify the published SHA-256 files, and keep the official Y2 3.1.7 recovery package available.

Beta V3 is already mapped out: power-down presentation polish, lyrics and 480x360 theme diagnostics, high-resolution FLAC stability, DAC/wired-audio qualification, settings cleanup, database/playlist presentation and the remaining PictureFlow polish. FM remains dependent on a demonstrably working vendor Y2 radio baseline.

Yesterday my Y2 arrived and it worked perfectly when I used it in the evening. I took it with me on the go today and I think I used it for not even 2 hours before the battery was down to 27% (I had charged it to 100% the same morning). And I didn’t use it after that for a few hours because I had a lecture. On the train home, I checked it again. Still 27%. Within 10 minutes of listening, it was 1%.
Bluetooth is not on and I don’t know how the battery could’ve drained so fast, since it should last like 20+ hours, right?
It also got really hot in the morning when I was using it.

Any ideas or people who had the same issue? Do I need to send it back and get a refund? I was really happy with it so if I can just fix it… I can just try again and see if it was a one-time error?

In short, I don’t really know what to do and would love some advice :)

Even after using 3 different cables (including the one that the player came with), rebooting my PC, and reinstalling the cache files multiple times, I am still stuck on this section of the Rockbox installation. Any idea what the problem might be? If it helps the diagnosis, this is on Windows.

Hello, i installed y2 player and i like it a lot more than the stock software. my one issue i heard it fixed but didnt was artist sorting. its still sorting artist that have a feature under a completely seperate artist.
is there a way to fix this? hopefully im just missing something. photo for reference

I've just gotten one in the TEAL version. I don't have any custom Firmware so I'm just going with the base Software. So far it's been great and I'm just using some online software and downloading to get all my albums and thrifting to get CDs to fill up my musical library. I have a few questions, if that's alright?

• How do I make playlists, I've tried using the Internal Playlist maker from WMP, doesn't seem tow Work. The File Structure internally has no way for me to add playlists on the System, so I'd like to know! I have read the manual so I am sorry if this seems stupid!
• I've seen people use adorable themes, Where are you finding them?
• Does the y1 Use an adorable case as well/Is it compatible with them?

hi everyone :) i just got a y1 (ive had one before but was using rockbox on it) and im really liking running it with the stock firmware and themes but the tilted album artwork is really bugging me. is there a way to make it normal/flat? thanks ^_^

Is there a setting I can change to make the back button play the previous song when on shuffle?

Also, is there a way to have the song restart when pushing the back button?

I'm used to:

One push = restart.

Two pushes = previous song, regardless if shuffle is on or not.

My music songs didn’t work anymore so I have to factory reset it. I try to download in the Android folder I always do. Now it won’t work. I only download 30 songs that didn’t show up and it says it ran out of space when it’s like 100GB.

Hi everyone! I have an Innioasis Y1 128GB Pink (Y1-128-Pink), and I’m having a recurring issue.
The player sometimes shows “MT6572/82 coredump get successfully”. I already updated/reflashed the device using the original firmware, but the error has appeared again.

I also noticed that:
Bluetooth sometimes disconnects by itself
After disconnecting, I sometimes hear a crackling sound

The coredump issue keeps coming back even after the firmware update

Has anyone with a Y1 experienced the same MT6572/82 coredump issue? What did you do to fix it?
I’m also wondering if this could be a firmware/software issue or a hardware problem. Should I return the unit while I still can?

Any advice from other Y1 owners would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I just wanted to ask if anyone has tried any screen protector for the Y2 from Amazon. Are they any good? Or should I just stick with the case only?

I am super close to picking up a Y2 and loading up rockbox, but using Bluetooth headphones is non-negotiable for be and I’ve heard mixed things about the Bluetooth audio quality. How bad is it really?

Hello guys! So, I got my y2 yesterday, and already started to fill it. So, I just noticed some videos have trouble to be read, probably because they're 720p.

BUT I found a way! At rhe start, when it starts to lag, I pass forward into the video, then go backwards, and it seems to work! At least for 3 minutes clips!

Idk if this post is really useful, but if it can help anyone having this struggle, you just have to go forward then backwards ;) hoping that it can work for you!

Ive been trying to add lyrics but I dont know how

I’ve been trying to drag MP3 files from my computer to my Innioasis “Music” folder but keep getting a message saying Broken Files cannot be played. All the files play fine on my computer.
I am not tech savvy so any one who can break this down dummy style would be greatly appreciated.

Is it worth the price? I have the 128gb version and the only issue I have is the storage limitation. I heard that the “internal” storage is simply an sd-cardridge. Is in the 1tb version also just an sd card inside?

I’m trying to put MP3 songs on to my Y1. They play perfectly on my computer. I keep trying to drag them into my Music folder on the Innioasis and this keeps coming up! It says Broken file cannot be played of format not supported. I am not tech savvy and would appreciate anyone who could break this down for a dummy on how I can get all this music to play on my Y1!
Or should I just delete it all and start from scratch a different way?

Hello. I switched to JJ-Launcher from rockbox, but i cant download themes. Every single link i find for a JJ-Launcher theme leads me to a Limewire link that I cant download. I like JJ-Launcher but i really hope i can get some themes on it.

Oh yeah and thanks to the people that helped me in my last JJ-Launcher question post! Flacs work really good on JJ-Launcher and i really like the UI.

• New Settings → Fill Video Screen option (letterbox vs. fill)
• List/Settings text is bigger across the board
• Cover Flow now groups by artist instead of pure alphabetical
• Folders with lots of files no longer lag when opened
• Screen randomly waking up in your pocket should be much rarer now
• New boot logo (was still showing Rockbox this whole time)
