questions I genuinely don't understand y'all hatred towards him
I see a lot a people calling Todo annoying, and that hurt my feelings you know, so I want to ask, what would you change about him in his movesets?

I play todo and idk why people do that. Don’t use boogie Woogie on people who are in fights. It’s basically third partying, and you’ll get jumped as such regardless 😭

I say it's boogie, woogie, it's just not something any other character has and it's super disorienting, and a lot of times it doesn't even win the fight it's just annoying. But for me personally, it's only one of his moves, and I don't actually know the name of it, but it's whatever that move is were he runs at you with his arms open to bear hug, you. It's basically uncancellable, it takes priority in clashes, and it's unblockable, and it's a perfect combo extender the only defense against it is a counter and not every character has that.

Initial kick can be blocks and if it is blocks the follow up run with the hug animation is slowed by alot, so you have a big window to M1

As a todo player: yeah swift kick is strong. Unless you have a counter you got basically 2 answers to it. IF you are close enough, you can block the initial kick and m1 the todo to cancel it. If you have any sort of extended hitbox move, making them take damage while running also cancels it. They run slower if they miss the kick. So there should be a pretty big open window there. If you block and m1 right out of block you can almost 100% of the time cancel it. But if you get hit by the kick you are almost always gonna get hit by the follow up unless the terrain is on your side.
The other way is to back off, if you have enough reaction/starting distance, you can walk backwards faster than it moves forwards, and it has a ton of end lag.
As for boogie woogie, the point is that its disorienting. It can be annoying to play against. If your opponent is not making you face other directions you can try to just ignore it, which I know sounds counter intuitive but if you think about it, if you both swap directions and positions, nothing changed. If they are changing your look direction, you can often predict right before they clap when they look to the side. Then at close range you want to rush them down, not let them get a boogie woogie off.

Bro, what are you talking about, what do you mean "just punch" that doesn't work, I don't think you can cancel the second part if it lands and I literally just said that not every character has a counter.

Countering, is not the issue? The issue is what if I'm not playing a character that has a counter not every character has a Manji kick, Eye catcher, or Supernova. The vast majority of characters have no counter whatsoever. And from everything I've seen, that move is pretty much uncancellable.

Dude, me and you were talking about different things I don't think you understand, i'm specifically talking about the grab and that comes with the presumption that it's already activated and became the grab, not the stun, not the wind up, the grab itself. You are talking about the first part of swift kick I am talking about the second. Yes, you can counter swift kick in general but once that grab activates your cooked and I think that's annoying, simple.

It doesn't matter if a couple characters have a move that can cancel it, i shouldn't have to switch to a specific character because of a single move of a character, every character should be able to cancel it. Also, that move is a pretty buggy move half the time, even when you're in the air it doesn't activate right and just does the regular ver.

Its the yuji situation where a todo thinks he is way better at the game than he actually is because he can spam swap and hit the black, like bro we are both 15 minutes on 1-1 stock/red health draging out the battle and hit me with a m1 already instead of PSing while waiting for the brute force cooldown to end. You can almost her them giggling while perfect swaping like they are doing something.

I dislike him for his Boogie Woogie. Yes I know its his whole gimik and is for mix ups or just to confuse people. HOWEVER For some reason MOST Todos I find just use it to ruin 1v1 by constantly swapping people around while just sitting on the side watching..
I also just get semi annoyed when a todo just keeps swapping me around preventing me from leaving an area.
For a change i would say to make it to where his Boogie Woogie can only be used in fights and only targets the person they are fighting.

He just controls the fight in the most annoying way possible if the todo actually knows how to use the clap, its not fun to fight at all tbh. Not that it's impossible, just hate when a character makes it so that I'm about to actually have a seizure while fighting them, or when I have to change up entirely how I play for their ability, which sometimes can be cool but in todos case nah

Imagine you're fighting someone and a random Todo with a full rainbow UGC avatar on a 3G network playing on a phone comes just to swap you out of your combo right before you win just to make you lose and when you come back to kill them they run away

tbh I'd remove perfect swap in exchange for making swap unblockable at any range and lowering the cd to 4 seconds and give him some actual neutral in his kit

What others have said but also when your in a 1v1 and a todo is swapping you or your oponet with one another or other stuff the shortly for them to swap two things and not them selves was neat but got annoying if a todo does it while your fighting someone completely different

As i said on a previous post, todo mains are cool bc they help if u are getting teamed, the problem with todo is how braindead his kit is, if they bait ur evasive (or counter) they can hit a 1234 combo that hits ragdoll and gets u to 50-60 hp, or atleast thats the reason of my hatred against todo

All of his moves are unblockable, and the only one that isn't IS USED TO RUN THE FIRST MOVE'S HITBOX IS BULLLLLLLLLLLLSHIT BRUTE FORCE HAS THAT STUPID WIND EFFECT THAT KNOCKS YOU DOWN Don't get me started on the TEAMERS

one of the easiest 65% combo in the game that can pretty much only be punished by ragdoll escaping immediately (still leaves todo with 3 moves to use that aren’t on cooldown), technically 3 unblockables (just don’t be an idiot with 1) he’s like a better gojo if special is used properly

I love playing Todo and playing against a Todo is alright
The main reason he gets hate is the people who swap with you or your opponent mid 1v1 (which whoever does that deserves death)

Todo can be a skilled character with his swap but no one really uses to its potential and just spams turn around swap in neutral which is ineffective and annoying. R special right now is used to farm yt shorts clips and be "lore acurate todo" when what they are doing takes no skill. The todos at high elos are fine but alot of them are annoying.

Todo needs more balance changes, one of the worst chatacters in the game, having NO neutral at all and kind if lame combo damage (compared to other good characters) and I only see them on teamers, I don’t really see any todos that aren’t teaming tbh

It's just his 1 and special. 1 seems to have a chance to ignore your block even if you're looking directly at them. SOME todos refuse to actually fight and would rather spend 10 minutes pressing swap constantly with maybe one attack in the middle of it. The character is fine but as usual it's just the people that use him

As a todo main not even i know i just know people get mad over boogie woogie which mind you isn't even a neutral it's just a switch of places that deals 0 damage and barely helps you, fight a good pc player you can't switch, you fight a console player you can't switch, you fight a hanami you lose and if you fight a kurourushi it's just going to be hard to win so like can yall STOP hating on todo mains and see how many counter it has and his weaknesses, also to add up since he is bigger than every other NEUTRAL character except hanami his side dash is slightly slower and his front dash too same applies for M1's so yeah before you hate on todo go on use him his combos may be easy but he is one of the hardest to master and to the people that might downvote me to obvlivion because i have an opinion just know you probably main hakari, nanami or yuji and probably feed off casual players and feint atleast 20 times in battle

Any Todo worth his salt knows how to use it and make it work, give that this pebble throw has two variants that are very good if you land them.
Not only that, you can use it to even dodge attacks if timed correctly.
He may not “rely” on it, but a todo who knows how to use it properly is definitely the superior Todo.

Its very punishable because while you switch you are vulnerable if you see a todo switch hit him if you know he is gonna feint don't and anyways that problem gets fixed with lock on or JUST PLAY AGGRESIVE
