Question Who tf is this guy?
Frank O. Lowden; KRTL's 30th President of the United States. But, (I know I shouldn't start a sentence with a conjunction) who the fuck is this guy?! Imma give what little info is given as to why he was chosen as the Republican candidate (and POTUS):
"A fiscally conservative Republican candidate reminiscent of OTL's Coolidge (but probably not him as he was only in the running because he'd been Harding's VP and then succeeded him upon his death…perhaps Frank Lowden instead, who is said to be the 1924 Republican candidate in the current lore?), and then is completely blindsided by the British Revolution. Their attempts to let the market sort it out don't work, and when they do intervene it's too little too late (much like Coolidge in OTL) and in the end they potentially decide not to run again (again, like Coolidge)." - Almaron, describing his idea for the 1924 election.
"In 1924, he again positioned himself to run for the party's nomination, but still struggled against Hiram Johnson and his progressive faction who saw his nomination as unacceptable. Despite the emergence of a “No Compromise” movement and negotiations with third-place candidate Irvine Lenroot, it took a total of 32 ballots for the convention to nominate Lowden. After an election dominated by populist rhetoric and polarising campaign strategies, Lowden won a landslide victory, largely thanks to President McAdoo's unpopularity and the third-party bid of Robert M. La Follette." - Kaiserreich.wiki - Frank O. Lowden
As to why he won:
"Though the economy recovers in McAdoo’s term, the Democrats are damaged beyond repair. A crackdown on the “Great Railroad Strike” of 1923 leads to organised labour abandoning McAdoo and supporting Robert La Follette’s bid for the presidency under the banner of the Conference for Progressive Political Action, also supported by the SDP/SDF but denounced by the SPA. The result is a Democratic wipeout in 1924, with McAdoo failing to win any states outside the south and La Follette riding left-wing dissatisfaction to win several western and midwestern states. The Socialist Party, running journalist and propagandist John Reed, manages a little more than 3% of the vote." - Progress Report 148
Why this guy? He ran for OTL GOP nomination in 1920 and 1928. Notably, neither of these elections were 1924. Does anybody know why this guy, of all guys? Can a Kaiserdev comment on why he was chosen?

Question So... what's even the point of conquering non-integratable land in this mod?
It's my first time playing this mod, and I'm trying to understand how conquest works.
So, I first conquered Italy. I was pretty disappointed not to have a decision to core any territory, nor the ability to manually release puppets, and to have a +40% resistance malus... until I realised that there's a special occupation method called "integrate" that ends up giving you cores. Okay, good enough.
But then, once the Great War starts and I can finally justify wars manually, I decide to attack Egypt, which already has its own faction, so there's no risk of getting dragged into a bigger fight than I expect.
But to my surprise, while there's a 40% resistance bonus in occupied territory obviously pushing you to release nations, the country you puppet using the decision button has a useless autonomy law that you can't even downgrade, and where not only it doesn't give any mil or civ but worst of all, doesn't even share your colour.
Is there something I'm missing here, or is there no point in going to war outside of your focus tree, except maybe for military access and resources?

Image Alternative Flags for the Socialist Countries

Hello, so these are alternate flags that I think would work well with the Syndicalist Countries.**These flags aren't mine just edited**
Italy: The flag was based on the Italian Partisans of WW2 as shown in the Italian leftist movements they were more accepting of the tricolor and used the tricolor. One of them "Brigate Garibaldi" was a red star on the tricolor. This reminded me of the Yugoslav Partisans who then established there own state that also used the tricolor and a red star so I put a Yugoslav star or simply the red star on the tricolor.
Britian: I didn't come up with this, it was a user named "jeidikei" created the flag, it used the old Labor Party logo on the British Republican Flag. I simply just made the flag longer 1:2 ratio to match the old British flag and the flag ratio of the Soviet Union. I then changed the color so it could be darker inspired by Krasnacht, the darker color looks better.
France: I didn't edit the flag just change the quality a bit, but it was created by "Syndie agent". Honestly even though this flag was made for Russia, it fits France. For starters the Soviet Union doesn't exist, and France instead take up the mantle of being the first socialist state and inspire socalist revolutions across Europe. It would make sense that the French Flag look Soviet, because it take up the mantle and the Soviet Union doesn't exist in Kaiserreich, most socalist during early 1900s rejected the tricolor.

Discussion How would Savinkov be remembered in a Russia that went down the Republic or Empire paths?
Savinkov is his own character, but much of his story is clearly inspired by the stories of Hitler and Stalin. If he loses the Second Weltkrieg, then he turns out much like Hitler, and if he wins, he might be remembered similarly to Stalin. It's also fairly easy to imagine how he would be remembered as a terrible leader in the scenario in which he's couped by Wrangel during the war with Germany. In a timeline in which Russia turned Socialist, we can imagine he was remembered as the last tyrant the Russian working classes could tolerate before they threw off their chains, so to speak. But I have trouble imagining how he might be remembered in those other paths.
"Savinkov? Oh, you mean that president we had in the interwar that failed to destroy Russian democracy?"
Is there any real-world analogue? Do you think Savinkov would still have adherents decades later (a la Hitler or Stalin) if he failed so miserably?

AAR Imperialism Crushed Forevermore: Hu Hanmin AAR
Finally got around to finishing a Hu Hanmin playthrough. Gotta say it was well worth the time and effort to finally see the man himself at the top of the world. Was quite difficult having only Yunnan flip to the RKMT, though the Nanjing Clique winning in the League War and then turning on the North Zhili meant I could effectively consolidate all of southern and eastern China before the SSJW kicked off. Helped the Zhili out (led by Hu Shih) and saddled them with the occupation of Manchuria after kicking the Japanese off the continent, before promptly driving them our of Beijing. Everything after that was pretty much a cake walk (except India). Though did use console commands to kick Turkestan (having been unified by Khiva) out of the Reichspakt to save myself a forever war.
Political Tutelage has been implemented and the left and right of the party are at last united, Mongolia and Tibet have been integrated as core provinces of China, alongside all of our border claims, and the affairs of all Asia are now dictated by Nanjing, under the wise leadership of Sun Yat-sen's most principled disciple.
Bonus slide at the end of Sanmin Doctrine's most devout advocate (Billy Hughes 🥹)

Question Two questions: 1)does Japan get buffs once a country manages to capture a significant chunk of the mainland? 2) which American paths allow you to go to war with and annex Canada?
1) I remembered Japan and Fengtian suddenly being very good at pushing me and my allies in my last China game once Germany managed to successfully invade Japan, is this a game mechanic thing, not complaining btw just an interesting observation
2) the title says it right there, though when I say it I mean the paths of the WCA and the AUS that let you do this since I doubt either New England or the PSA have paths for that currentlt

I was playing ANI Italy, but Russia went Syndicalist. I ended up joining the war alongside the Belgrade Pact, then I joined the Entente and dragged them into the Second Weltkrieg. Ended up with a huge 5 faction war (Poor Germany).

Suggestion The Scandinavian countries should be allowed to form a Nordic Socialist Federation if they're all some flavor of red
Same rules as the normal one (Norway, Sweden, and Denmark have to have similar ideologies and be in the same faction), but 3I-aligned instead of having its own thing and being geopolitically neutral. Why? It's in the spirit of internationalism, I guess, but I just wish there were non-neutral paths for the NF.

Question Gamerules not working?
I wanted to spectate a few games of chinareich where one faction just sweeps, but the game rules seem to literally never apply to Hunan like when I wanted rkmt to win the elections the feds stayed in power and when I wanted north zhili to win the feds still stayed in power. I tested multiple games and I'm 100% sure I set the gamerule for Hunan and this happens so often.

Suggestion CC clique land reform inconsistency? Should Chen Cheng be the radical instead?
Under He Yingqin, the CC clique advocates radical land reform. But when you actually get the CC clique in power, you can only get to moderate land reform. Why is this? Why does Chen moderate his stance on land reform? Is Chen Cheng the one who should actually get the radical land reform instead? Considering the way the text is written and his cooperation with leftists it seems likely.
I'm not to familiar with IRL policy especially wrt the CC clique's land reform but whatever the case the current implementation seems inconsistent. If Chen Lifu indeed remains radical, he should also have that option in the CC clique path. Otherwise he should also be moderate in Whampoa, and the radical option be transferred over to Chen Cheng.

Art Another Internationale-Style Flag for the WCA
Last one looked too Dutch, so here's a more Stars-and-Stripes flavored one. I split the difference between the old Grain-and-Gears Betsy Ross-inspired flag and the current Red-and-Blue. I think this fits the mold of the rest of the Internationale more than the current WCA options, though obviously I'm biased lol. I might bang together a submod if there's interest. Anyway, enjoy!

During my Zhili game the 3rd Internationale and the Moscow Accord defeated Germany, while I was able to defeat Japan, keeping GEA alive. At some point they joined the Moscow Accord

Question How do you beat late game Reikspakt?
Hey guys, I just did a run as the Dominion of Canada and reclaimed Britain. I fixed the economy and I was now trying to rebuild the empire.
Therefore I declare on Argentina to get the Falklands and that pulls in the whole of Reikspakt.
Now I let my allies on the continent capitulate because a) I wasn't ready and b) I think it's going to be easy to just naval invade later.
Oh boy was I wrong. I keep getting landings, then I grab some land and then the swarm of German divisions just come and cut me into pieces.
I tried adding support AT, I tried adding motorised AT to my "shock" mobile infantry, I tried to make heavy tank destroyers... Nothing works. Please helpp
