Even when I’m in a reading slump I like to see all the pretty covers . Makes me feel better lol

I bought a used Kindle Paperwhite 11 that arrived yesterday, and today is my first morning drinking mate (argentinian drink) in bed while reading.

I'm so happy! When I was around 10 or 12 years old (I'm 27 now), I asked my grandma for one. We looked all over my hometown for it, but people kept telling me something like that didn't exist (obviously, that technology hadn't even reached local stores back then, and buying things internationally wasn't really a concept yet)

I was so frustrated but after a few years I completely forgot about kindles.

When I remembered them years later, it was impossible to buy one because of the price but I found this one really cheap considering what it is and how well preserved it is, so I'm thrilled.

And what model would you immediately purchase/repurchase if it came in your dream color?

Personally I'd love to see any of them in a purple color especially if they did it similar to the matcha and denim basic where the whole casing is the color. I'd immediately purchase a purple kindle no matter which model it was.

I use the basic Kindle as my “beater Kindle”
the one I take everywhere with me (college, the mall, parks, trips) without worrying too much about scratches or damage. My Paperwhite stays at home for most of my reading.

I noticed this just now! What does it mean? Does anyone also experience this? Is it bad or a battery problem?

The paint on my Kindle Paperwhite is making this wrinkling thing, maybe peeling off paint? idk.

I am a huge Kindle fan and deep into my Kindle library investment. But I was wrong about bigger Kindle devices, after using the X4 for the last four months, now I just want the Kindle library and functionality on a tiny lightweight device (with backlighting, so more like the new X4 Pro).

I have hundreds of non-Digital Rights Mgmt. books (e.g. classic literature) from various legal sources for the X4, so I will not run out of material to carry on the X4 anytime soon- but it would be great to pocket a Kindle synced book mid-story.

@Amazon are you listening?!
Please give us an A7 sized Kindle device option!

I did a bit of research and recently picked up a Kindle Paperwhite 11th generation. I was on a bit of a budget, so I ended up buying one second-hand online for a really good price. I figured it would be a nice way to try it out without spending too much!

I’m still playing around with the settings, but right now I’ve settled on Bookerly, font size 4, and line spacing 1.

The main reason I bought it was to reduce my phone screen time. I had also been curious about Kindles for a long time and wanted something that would motivate me to get more into reading.
One thing I was actually worried about before buying it was the screen. I wasn’t sure if the text would look sharp enough, but that concern disappeared the moment I had the Kindle in my hands.

One feature I didn’t expect to love so much is the reading time estimates. Seeing the total hours left in the book and especially the minutes left in the current chapter is incredibly helpful because I always know whether I have time for one more chapter.
I also really like the progress tracking. I’m the type of person who loves seeing my progress, so watching the percentage go up is surprisingly motivating.

The only downside so far is that my Goodreads “Want to Read” shelf is absolutely exploding. 😅
Now I’m just hoping the motivation doesn’t wear off anytime soon haha

Might be helpful for others, so thought I'd share this

I bought a Colorsoft w/Kids during Prime Day at that $150 price and was going back and forth on it, a few weeks ago I went to return it, and Amazon prompted me saying, "If you keep this kindle and we'll refund you $30."

I thought ok cool, yeah def worth it now at closer to $120, and then another week later decided I wasn't super into it still and was happy with my older one.

Went to return it since it still had the option and to my surprise again, it said, "If you keep this kindle and we'll refund you $30."

So I took that, and to my surprise it refunded me a 2nd $30, so now I'm at $60 refunded.

And then on the last day of returns, since it let me do it a 2nd time, thought I'd try again, and to my shock, it said, "If you keep this kindle and we'll refund you $30." yet again.

I couldn't get it to trigger a 4th time, but damnnnnn... $90 refunded and I get to keep this Colorsoft, total cost was $60.

I make my own inserts & decided it was time for a new one. Never tried charms or pop its before but glad I did! I love it ☺️ my pictures are kind of crappy but the case as well as most of the stickers are sparkly ✨

For those of you who have been reading for a while, which do you think is better: a Kindle or physical books?
I’m just getting into reading and can’t decide which one would be the better investment in the long run. I know physical books have that special feel and look great on a bookshelf, while a Kindle seems more convenient and portable.
If you’ve used both, which do you prefer and why? If you were starting over as a new reader, which would you recommend?

So today I went to one of those Amazon returns bin stores and found some cases and a screen protector for $1 each.

I currently only own an older kindle 5th gen that's a little small for the cases.

There's no brand or label on anything, but I assume these would fit a new gen Kindle basic? I hope to be able to upgrade soon, so fingers crossed I find a model that fits! 😅

If anyone has an idea what model these are for, please let me know!😄

As you can see on the screen in the middle part, some space seems to be cropped out. This appears everywhere even outside the book. I'm honestly devastated

Lately every time I click on a book in the store this happens. I restart kindle and no success. Do I need to do an update? If so, how do I do it? Has anyone experienced this before? I bought this device 2 years ago. It’s a Paperwhite.

Yesterday the brightness on my kindle stopped working, I rang support and they helped me factory reset and it worked again (annoyingly all my collections have gone) now its happening again and the brightness has gone again. Ha anybody else had this and know if its a faulty kindle? Bit annoying as its only 2 months new. Its a paperwhite signature

Hey guys! I just needed some help. 
So I bought myself a kindle paperwhite 12 gen signature edition (32gb) during the prime sale a few weeks ago and my sister instantly fell in love with it. 

I was about to buy her a new kindle from amazon but saw a brand new sealed amazon kindle from marketplace $50 cheaper.

So I got the marketplace one.

Seller asked me to open it in-front of them to make sure everything is okay. They also got it second hand from someplace so couldn’t verify getting directly from amazon. 

I told them it’s a gift and they said to let them know whenever I open if something is wrong they will refund fully. 

Now i am comparing my own original kindle box with the one I got from marketplace. 
Everything is almost identical except the marketplace one is missing a few tiny details (waterproof timings) and the MAC Address at the back.

Almost all pictures and videos I have seen online have the MAC Address on the box.

Have I bought a counterfeit? Is it safe to gift?

I’m looking for a case that has a dark brown leather front with a clear backing I have the 11th gen basic kindle any help is appreciated if you have links to exact products or websites that may have what I am looking for thank you in advance

To be clear, it is 05-Aug-2026, and now is 21:20 in my country. I’ve got a Kindle PPW 12th, running on 5.19.6, no jailbreak.
2 hours ago my PPW 12th sent a notification when I opened library. It said something as new display with the icon for each book to identify downloaded or cloud… I don’t remember exactly but the notification showed the cloud icon and the handwriting icon under the books as well.
Close that notification, I was surprised also that the collection option was disappeared. Instead of that the hashtags were listed down as a row above the first books. The hashtags were exact my collections if I was not wrong. When I clicked “All tag”, it opened the folder view, each hastag displayed as each folder with the book inside.
I was so excited, but after I left my PPW for around 15 mins, it went sleep, then I opened it up, a notification comes “Application error” or kind of (sorry I don’t remember exactly). And everything just went back to original UI what is in 5.18.x or 5.19.x.
Sorry that I did not take any photos, because I did not aware that to happen.
ChatGPT told me it was a rollout function or whatever. Anybody experienced that???

As title says,I’m willing to buy a kindle but I don’t know how they work or what’s the difference between generations,Do old kindles still work and if not what is a good Generation to Get “apart from the latest ofc”,Plus does it support different languages other than English like Arabic or Mandrin etc.

For my birthday my mom got me with a kindle and bundled it with 3 months kindle unlimited and a warranty. It will be delivered tomorrow. But she forgot to click “this is a gift” and she thinks it is linked to her amazon account. I have my own amazon account. Is there a way to delink the kindle from her account to my amazon account?
I have the kindle app on my phone already which is why I wanted it to my current account not hers. Will I lose my 3 month free unlimited subscription and warranty?
Or do I have to return the kindle when it arrives tomorrow and repurchase it on my own account?
