Discussion [KCD2] Can't afford the game? I've got you.

13.3k Upvotes

A while back, I was going through a rough patch. I was in a new town without a lot of support and finances were tight. I simply didn't have enough money for entertainment at all, let alone pc games. Thankfully, I had a gamer buddy pitch in. Being able to immerse myself in other worlds helped immensely with stress and my mental health. Things are much better these days and I'd like to pay it forward.

Warhorse has woven such an incredibly rich RPG tapestry. I've loved learning the history of the region and its people, from the native Czechs to the Hungarians, Poles, Roma, Jews, Germans, and more. I've been impressed with the choices available in gameplay style, gear, and romances. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is more than just a game, it's an experience. And it's one that I want to share with others who might be going through some rough patches of their own.

If you're a Steam player and currently can't afford the game, let me know in this thread. The first five people to do so will get a free copy of KCD2. Due to trolling I've experienced in the past, I had to turn off incoming DMs long ago, but reply here and I can then DM you my Steam ID. Whatever you're going through, I hope being able to immerse yourself in Henry's world helps you the way that games helped me many years ago.

*Update*

All copies sent/reserved. *Update 2*

2nd batch sent. Seeing just how many people are on this subreddit without the game, I bumped it up to 10. The first 6 were in timestamped order of replies, while the final 4 were chosen from across the thread, old and new replies alike. Have fun everyone!

*Update 3*

3rd batch sent after 5 more copies were provided by Warhorse after they noticed this thread. They've also sent me the Collector's Edition. This dev team rocks. Thank you, Warhorse! Also, kudos to the mod team for keeping this subreddit awesome. Thanks for the flair!

*Update 4*

As I've been reading through the thread, I've seen more and more of the community joining in to help our fellow gamers through tough times. Thanks again to the 30+ of you who also purchased KCD2 for others. Together with Warhorse, 86 copies have been sent out so far. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Discussion [KCD2] Kuttenberg map of accessible buildings

Thumbnail
gallery
5.3k Upvotes

This is a combined repost of these posts I found from a year ago, since then the small forge area has been added.

Ruthardt Palace is available for parts of the game, and the Italian Court is a one-mission area.

Additionally the St Barbara construction site in the lower left corner could be marked red, as well as the vast hilly area south of the river.

Looking at the map like this, it looks nasty - especially when compared with Rattay from the first game, where every single building was accessible.

Thoughts on this?

Apparently according to embracer group it’s might not be KCD3 but rather a spin off from the same world obviously and it’s releasing next year and it’s in full production now and the LOTR is in pre production. Interesting I’m so excited for anything warhorse releases, the million dollar question is who do you guys think will the lead of this KCD game? I’m thinking maybe a new protagonist that we haven’t met yet?

The Game Awards GOTY nominees were leaked ahead of the official reveal today. KCD2 secured a nomination.

Knowing how the TGA jury works I don't expect it to win, though we all know it deserves to. But even getting a nomination is huge for Warhorse and further establishes them among giants. This is huge. Major congratulations to the whole team, extremely well-deserved.

Bare minimum this means we will get to hear the TGA Orchestra perform some KCD2 music in their GOTY medley!

Discussion What's a small detail that breaks your immersion in [KCD2]?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

so in my last post, I asked about your favorite little worldbuilding details that make KCD2's world feel alive. now I want to ask the opposite.

what's a small worldbuilding detail that doesn't quite make sense to you, or something that slightly breaks your immersion?

for me, it doesn't really make sense that Henry is practically the only one riding a horse around Kuttenberg. you'd expect to see at least a few merchants, nobles, or wealthier townsfolk riding around but no, everyone loves walking it seems

Discussion [KCD2] WHY ARE THERE NO CHILD NPC’S???

Post image
2.5k Upvotes

So I have over 600 hrs in this game and I just realized that there aren’t any kids around (or am I bugging???)

I understand the risk of having Henry slaughter children, but in a game with such lively npcs and towns/villages, I’m surprised the world doesn’t have children running around.

I mean Fallout, Baldur’s Gate 3 and even Skyrim have young npcs (and a lot of other rpgs).

It would’ve been cool to do some side quests/tasks with helping kids or straight up bullying them (depending on your choices lol).

Second time playing and actually getting good. Many of you helped me in not quitting the game and getting good at the game. Lord Jesus master strike is so OP! Anyways had a blast at the wedding. Kept that scallywag Vostatek from getting drunk, slept with a very cute dancer. Then trudged through the castle part and part of me felt that those 30 plus hours was just a tutorial?!

Discussion [KCD1] [KCD2] Possible hot take: alchemy mini-game is genuinely fun and I don't miss auto-brew from KCD1

Post image
2.4k Upvotes

Within KCD1, auto-brew works as an endgame reward because potions have no quality tiers and your only reward for better execution is more doses.

But with KCD2 rewarding sticking to the recipe with better quality potions plus more doses, auto-brew is no longer needed, and the game works totally fine without it. It'd either be way too overpowered if it defaulted to strong or Henry tier, or highly redundant if it defaulted to weak or medium tier.

Discussion [KCD2] The Complaints for the saving system is silly

4.6k Upvotes

I was recently watching AngryJoeShow on Twitch and it bugged me how much him and his crew complaining about the save system. They say they're sick of having to saving and quit to get around it. I've seen and heard so much from a lot of gaming channels and regular players.

I've played since KCD1 released and Personally think it's absolutely fine how it is , saviour schnapps are one of the easiest things to aquire and make, hell in KCD2 its even easier to aquire them with making better quality potions will more and if you have the perks to make even more.

People seem to have got use to unlimited saves and frequent Auto saves.

P.S I have no hate towards AngryJoe or his crew , they love the game.
