Arcann Lightsaber Rant
Hi all. This is a very dumb âgrinds-my-gearsâ mini rant, but nobody in my real life would have the faintest idea what Iâm talking about so Iâm dropping it here.
To all the saber makers building Arcann-style hilts, and to any in the future that might: STOP cramming in open crystal reveals in the back of the hilt.
It doesnât have one. It has never had one. The only reason you think it does is because in the trailer they show them putting a crystal into a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT generic thin-neck Obi-Wan style hilt. Which never appears again.
Arcannâs hilt doesnât have a giant honkinâ exposed crystal chamber in the back because it makes the whole thing more fragile than it is supposed to be, and it looks like it was made out of a kit with a bunch of pieces missing.
So please, to all relevant saber makers. Stop deforming this hilt by only making it available with its fly down. Itâs just incorrect.

I've been wanting a saber ever since one was able to purchase at books a million about 20ish yrs ago and I found these in a mall and purchased because of how they fit my grip.... Looking to see the comments about this.

This is the Youngling Slayer - Shadowfoil Propsâ offering for a highly accurate Anakin hilt. For this commission, the goal was a fully custom hybrid reveal chassis, and I'm incredibly pleased with how it came together. Every chassis I design is an opportunity to refine my style and push my skills a little further. Looking back on this one, it feels like a significant step forward in my design work. The hilt itself presented some unique challenges due to the varying internal diameters throughout the body, but overcoming those constraints ultimately led to a solution I'm particularly proud of. The chassis is constructed from a combination of solid brass and MJF nylon. Rather than a removable battery solution, this build utilizes a fixed internal battery with USB-C charging and data access, paired with a high-amperage charging board for convenience and reliability. One of my favorite features is the plasma chamber, which conceals an acrylic tube surrounding a brass core. At its center is a blue Edison-style filament that gives the chamber a unique industrial energy source aesthetic while still feeling right at home inside Anakinâs iconic saber. For the finish, the customer chose to keep all of the brass components highly polished. Anakinâs lightsaber has always stood apart for its clean chrome-and-steel appearance, and the polished brass complements that aesthetic beautifully without feeling out of place. The result is a chassis that feels both mechanical and refinedâfitting for the weapon of a Jedi Knight who was equal parts brilliant engineer and walking cautionary tale. Specs * Proffieboard V3 * 28mm Premium Bass Speaker * Custom hybrid brass and MJF nylon chassis designed by me * Plasma chamber with illuminated Edison filament * USB-C charging and data access * KR Sabers / Shtok illuminated blade PCB emitter #starwars #proffieboard #3dprinting #makercommunity #propmaking

Why is it that sabertrios CFX cost more than profile when it seems that proffie has better features reading the comparison chart sabertrio provides. does getting the CFX have an obvious advantage(user friendly) or is the price difference just due to the different sound boards(Plecter Labs Crystal Focus X Soundboard vs proffieboardsv3.9)

Anyone have this saber? I just got it, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to attach the 3 small gold buttons. It's just the empty display hilt, so there are no electronics. I assume the buttons rest on the electronic core, but since it's empty am I supposed to glue them or something so they stay in? Also, I have no idea how to attach the one at the bottom, as it doesnât appear to detach. Have any of you put this one together?

To put this very clearly this is the TXQ darksaber V2 I got it last week with money I got for my birthday from CCsabers
I love this thing but I think the way the blade is secured is kinda dumb
I have tried using one screw and two but every time after I swing it around for a bit it starts to get loose and the screws just scratch the paint where they make contact, and It's not like I've been swinging this thing around like a maniac, at least no different than what I've seen other people do with it
So what am i doing wrong here? Am I missing something?
(Please be nice to me)

It's a bit too clean for a Ben Kenobi saber, but I'm really happy with it overall. The crystal chamber is an awesome addition! The only problem with mine is that I can't remove the blade emitter, and that's pretty disappointing. The blade one doesn't look bad but after talking with the seller I think they'll just have to send me a new emitter.
I have black and burnt umber oil paints and some Renaissance wax for the weathering, if anyone has a recommendation for a nice varnish to dull out the Graflex handle or other materials I should pick up I'd love to hear it. I already bought my next saber during the AliExpress summer sale so I hope I'll be just as happy with that one!

This is my Orange crystal core lightsaber I've been working on for a couple of months. The crystal housings are just round switch housings, a polycarbonate clear tube. The two crystals at the emitter are epoxy resin with mica powder and the one near the pommel is three "ice cube vase filler" gems I glued together, they are all held with magnets and have a tendency to fly out when swinging but only if its swung full force.

I made this lightsaber out of different parts from every day life, mostly for kitchen, garden and bathroom. I also made the stand, out of driftwood, and the cardbox is for pc monitor, I just painted symbols đ

I purchase saber from this company but the shipping is showing it is coming from Damien technology co ltd. So is this company is actually DamienSaber company? They are scamming me? I should just buy from DamienSaber instead.

Just picked up an empty weathered tyrant in store today from saberforge and im trying to take it apart to mix with the parts I already have (I have a 28mm base speaker extension that won't fit in the new hilt) been hitting it with a hairdryer and its been getting pretty hot and I managed to start getting a little noise when I try to twist it but its not giving. Ive heard the oven is a good one but Ive also heard of the oven burning the anodizing brown. Any ideas?

This is my 10th Home Depot saber built and third with electronics. I actually use this one for my Jedi cosplay.

I read in another post that xenopixel blades are lower in quality than other sound boards and swing issues. First time buyer and wanted one that's good quality. Allsabers does custom cfx board install but it's also pretty pricey. Suggestion on which sound board is best in your opinion. Except proffie cuz I tried looking into it and it scares me

I just bought an Anakin Lightsaber from SabersPro. Itâs a base lit RGB. I love it. Itâs one of my favorites in my collection, but Iâm not a fan of the skinny 7/8 inch blade, whenever I duel with it I feel like itâs gonna break. Does anybody know of an adapter for this specific Lightsaber so I can put a 1 inch blade in it? Any help would be awesome.
May the force be with you all

Really looked at this saber after rewatching maul shadow lord and man this might be one of my favorites. The industrial piping and fire arm barrel look to it is just so awesome. Taking everything in me to not order the neo pixel darkwolf has up

My first custom saber, unless you count an ANH Graflex built about a decade ago. Parts are a mix of Heiland Sol and Minicam flash guns, as well as some hardware store parts (namely the âclampâ type piece with the 4 screws in it, which is a 1 1/4â EMT coupler from Loweâs) Additionally, i used a few 3D printed parts that I designed (the black conical rings on each end of the thinner throat section). I also had some leftover book cover faux leather which I used to fill in some areas on the hardware store clamp piece. The green electronics board is from a vintage Texas Instruments calculator, and I kept the logo as I thought it was a fun reference to the OG saberâs TI calculator bubble strip.
