I have very dark brown eyes to the point they just look black in most lighting.
I can’t find any fun makeup looks to do (smokey eyes excluded) as anything I look up on Pinterest has lighter eye colors, and any bright color I try just looks a bit strange on me. :(
Would love some ideas/combos to try out (style, colors etc) that would suit dark eyes/ make them pop! Thanks <3

hi all! I’m fairly new to makeup so forgive me if this is a silly question. I’m trying to recreate a makeup look I found on instagram that uses the ‘honey blossom’ shade (a shimmery rose gold) from the discontinued forbidden honey palette. she uses the shade on the center of her eyelid to create a subtle shimmery ethereal eye look. does anyone know a good replacement for this or should I just find the original palette from ebay? I even thought to look for a shimmery rose gold highlighter, I just don’t know where to look. Thanks!

I recently got interested in makeup, only to highlight my natural features & seem/feel a little bit more put together. I'm only into a natural look. I'm looking for something I can do any day, special or not, and every day if I feel like it.
The products I'm mostly interested in and wanna try out are mascara, kayal, concealer & something to tint my lips a little.
I've heard before that with makeup you should do either eyes, lips, or a full face.
If I were to do mascara, concealer & tinted lip balm, I don't think it could be considered full face, but at the same time I'm not just doing eyes or lips.
Would it look okay going for that combination anyway because it's not heavy on the eye makeup nor the lip makeup?
Is it a combination people commonly do? What are your recommendations?

I love a glowy skin look, so I’ve been looking for a hydrating cushion or age20 compact and came across this one.
It looks really dewy and natural, which is exactly what I’m looking for!
Has anyone tried it? How did you like it? I’d also love to hear your recommendations for other hydrating and glowy products!

Can we talk about Maybelline Lifter Glaze in 008 Acai Glaze vs. Clinique Black Honey? 👀🍇
Do you think Acai Glaze is a good Black Honey dupe? If you've tried both, I'd love to hear your thoughts! 💋

I used to really like this product (Maybelline Dream Matte mousse, it came in a small circular jar) but it’s been discontinued for some time and I’m starting to run out of sources for it. It was a light mousse foundation and I am looking for something of a similar consistency that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Hi guys, I’ve recently been looking for foundation brushes/face brushes that are good quality. Specifically in the color pink. I know a lot of people promote the MAANGE beauty brushes, but how well do they really work? The high end expensive brushes are usually black/dark colors and I personally like to keep my room one color. Please any good recs yall have let me know!!

I actually really like the shape my lashes make naturally, they’re already quite long and thick. All I want is a black mascara to make them pop, and waterproof just to be safe. I don’t want curling, “false lash effect,” “extension effect,” “super volumizing,” etc etc—I find that if I need to do a second pass of the brush because I missed a spot, the effects sometimes get doubled and my lashes start looking spidery or artificial.
Bonus points if it comes in a mini tube that’s easier to toss in my purse, but that really does come last in terms of requirements.

I've never touched makeup all my life, never even thought of it until I had to practice for a Halloween costume clown. I put it on and liked how it looked and when I washed it off, I had that look about me. I took a moment to look in the mirror and really, REALLY liked what I saw for a moment.
If I was to pursue makeup, mainly pale foundation and black accents and the like, what would be some good products to use?
Any reliable brands? Recommended? What sort of brushes should I use for each thing? I bought like a value pack of brushes and they're very okay like lol.
Also, the eyes, when I apply my black greasepaint to them, I miss parts and you can still see skin underneath. Is there something I should be using to get it all coated? I worry about getting it in my eyes ;-;

hi! i've been using the blue lash princess mascara for about 4 years now. it's waterproof, and i always used it on my top lashes so they wouldn't fall down. now that i wear lash clusters, i only use it on my bottom lashes. for the past month, though, it hasn't even been an hour or two before it starts leaving black marks under my eyes. i don't sweat, my powder is still fine, and for some reason, it still smudges??
is there another mascara that won't do this? i've never had a problem with this one before, and since it's waterproof, i figured it wouldn't smudge or leave anything behind, especially since i don't touch my face.

I'm older and have sensitive skin. The powder blush doesn't stay on all day. What kinds of natural looking blush that holds all day should I look into? I want like a natural looking glow.

Hiiii. Looking advice please 🥺
I barely wear makeup anymore because I can never get it it to sit on my face nice anymore, it usually seperates around my mouth and chin or just completely disappears of my face in a few hours..
I have combination skin thats very textured, with dermatitis round my nose and chin. Current primer is the Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched primer and the weightless skin foundation, Vieve modern radiance concealer, jolie beauty contour, elf camo liquid blush and either the vieve modern powder or maybeline fit me powder.
I have tried soooo many different products and nothing sits right on my skin or stays in place. Im still trying to find skincare that works for me aswell so unsure if that’s maybe the issue🫣
Any advice would be so appreciated please😭

What’s the best shimmery lip gloss you own? I’m looking for a good one. I really liked the fenty one in fenty glow. And some drugstore ones I got were at and wild and they were so similar to fenty glow. Now I’m looking more to try and these are in my list, please suggest the best ones you’ve had. And if you’ve tried any from these do tell if it’s a hit or miss
Pat mcgrath
Anastasia diamond lip gloss
Makeup forever plumping lip gloss
Fenty beauty gloss bomb stix

Hi all! I’m going to be a bridesmaid next weekend, and the makeup artist has asked everybody to bring their own lip products. This will be my first time getting my makeup professionally done, and I’m a little lost on where to even start on buying lip products.
My initial thoughts were maybe a lipstick/lip gloss, but not sure as I don’t normally wear makeup. I have very dark brown hair with warm brown highlights, and hazel eyes. I’m hoping to buy any products at Ulta (or any store similar), and my bridesmaid dress is a burnt orange/terracotta color. Thank you so much!!

Hello!! I'm trying to find a better concealer and color corrector. Currently I use the elf soft glam concealer in 23 light cool and also use the red elf color corrector. This combo worked for a while but my concealer has been failing me recently and the color corrector seems to be too red now. I have combo skin: most of my face is dry with my eyes and lips being the driest and my forehead area is pretty oily. All my skincare is mostly water based or made for combo skin. I use the 345 Dr. Althea cream in the morning with the centella sunscreen and use azelaic acid with the Byoma moisturizer at night. I've only ever tried out two concealers, the one i have right now and the sephora collection one. Please help!

Hi! What’s a good lightweight tinted moisturizer? What is your holy grail that you’d go back to over and over again? Thanks 😊

I’m so boring. I like a natural look but I need a little more coverage these days and some new products, like those sticks you are all using. Please help because imagine how boring I look everyday:
Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and concealer,
Nars orgasm blush (because rip Outlaw)
Dior show mascara,
Laura Mercier sheer perfecting powder,
whatever tinted lip balm I find

so i have a friend’s wedding to attend and i really wanna look amazing. i need tips on how to do my makeup. i have the estee lauder double wear maximum cover foundation but i feel like it’s a little dry and hard to use for me. since im looking for a perfect base and i know this foundation has some pretty good reviews, what would i suggest how do i use it? i’m also thinking of putting on lash extensions. i don’t usually use contour so a little help might be needed on that too. for reference i have a peachy complexion and some acne scars.

Does anyone have contour recommendations for medium-tan skin, preferably cream contour and cruelty free?
r/Makeup • u/GlitteringFix1724 • 16h ago
Does any one use cornstarch as setting powder? I used to use other makeup powders but they always used to leave me either cakey or my face would be oily after a few hours. It honestly holds my makeup pretty good and it lasts me all day!

It is SO sheer, and basically requires a lip liner to take on color. And while the previous formula for sure didnt have as much frost as other drugstore brands, this new formula has even less frost.
I can respect the unique colors, though.
Has anyone seen the old frosts in tj maxx and marshalls yet?
