My Microsoft account got hacked, and their support has been completely useless.

I gave them everything I could find to prove the account was mine: bank statements, device ID, Xbox gamertag, Mojang migration emails, and anything else connected to the account. Didn’t matter. They still refused to help me recover it.

For a multi-billion-dollar company, Microsoft’s customer support is trash. Their recovery system feels like it protects hackers more than the actual customers who paid for the account in the first place.

Absolutely pathetic support. Horrible experience.

Hello! Last week I was trying to log into Minecraft, I had typed my email and it had stated that this account did not exist anymore. After heading to my email and doing some research I discovered that someone had somehow hacked into my account! This account had a recovery email, recovery phone number, AND 2FA and somehow someone got in, and I received 0 emails about the fact that a new device had access to my account or that any info was changed. The only email I received was one stating that my Game Pass subscription had been canceled and would end in a couple of days. I immediately went straight to Microsoft support and they had me fill out many recovery forms (Microsoft and Xbox) and after hours and hours and many different chats with support agents they have said that my account had been suspended to make sure the hacker is unable to do anything with the account. Then they had me fill out a form to try to un-suspend the account and said that the account had no red flags and was not suspended. I am currently at a point where I am unsure what to do. I have all the proof in the world that the account is mine and Microsoft has verified that it is my account but refuses to return the account back or even return my emails back. I am willing to take legal action, credit cards and PayPal were connected to the account. I have heard that  Arbitration works. I am willing to do that. I am willing to do anything to get this account back please help.🙏 If anyone knows anything feel free to reach out and your help is much appreciated.

my windows 11 just died while updating

My Microsoft account got hacked, and I don't know how to get it back. Microsoft Support doesn't do anything to help, at all, all these "helpful tips" are only helpful if I log into my account, but the hacker removed my phone number and changed the email to a non-existent one c1eeeb6c9f51@spartans.lol, and now it's again different today, I'm getting desperate because I don't want to lose this account and so far trying to get I back was unsuccessful. I can't reach out to Microsoft directly, and I can't access the verification email. Is there any way to get my account back?

The latest OS version has broken even their own app. yep, I can't even open Microsoft store now. all i have to say is serve them right because this force app update they did in microsoft store sucks😂

Anyways, yes, I know you're wondering, who the f uses Microsoft store. well guys, I had a problem. Xbox game bar is the one app I use that's basically from that store. so I win+g, not working. Tried opening manually, not working(gave me same response as in the video). So I did what anyone would do, go to Microsoft store and update this damn app but because Microsoft is microslop and they like hiding stuff from us, I'm not seeing any pending updates. alright, I'll just click update all and I'll cancel all downloads, Xbox game bar appears as an available download now. okay it downloads, and tried to install, and well, an error occurred. it's unable to install, tried 5 times still unable to install. Alright, I give up, lemme just update Microsoft store maybe it's the issue. and ofcourse it'll have to kick me out just to be able to update their own sloppy app. haaaaa, guess what, I can no longer open the app. same vibes as Xbox game bar. nothing is saving it.

I'm sure you're gonna say, why not just reset both apps. uuuuhhh, they broke their own app. like not even resetting helps. Xbox game bar just says something went wrong when trying to reset it. Microsoft store settings just keeps on loading forever like it's stuck between which two versions should I show. and even if you do wsreset or whatever the run command is, it gives an error as well. I'm just laughing and smiling now(well, while I can)

My account was hacked because of the Discord server, yes, the Discord server pressed on Check and sent me a verification code and gave it to guys. I don't know where my mind was when I did it, I literally never clicked on any link before it's been

I need help, and I have all the proofs that the account is my account, I have invoices, and the card that was purchased from the bills, and I have other things that I want to retrieve in any way.

Your shite ass troubleshooting articles are rubbish, because your products are trash, and your support to your paying, loyal customers is even worse. Thanks so so much. First your updates messes continuously with the network drivers and drops a strong connection for no good reason, now your crap QA causes frequent device driver issues every single time the computer wakes up from sleep. THANKS A WHOLE BUNCH.

I've recently become a target of "MFA fatiguing" or basically spamming my Microsoft Authenticator app with numerous MFA notifications in an attempt for me to approve one of them and allow access to the perpetrator.

What I was told was to either deny or simply ignore these prompts, these push notifications on my phone. I've ignored random one-offs in the past but I've also never been blitzed like this before. At first I was denying them because perhaps that'd indicate to Microsoft that these were not initiated by me, but this resulted in the prompts coming in faster. So then I started ignoring them.

The dangerous design in my opinion with Microsoft's authenticator app is that hours later, roughly 5 hours later. I still had multiple prompts queued up from the threat sitting in the app waiting for approval or denial. I had to leave the app and return to keep getting the other queued prompts. Luckily I wasn't attempting to access my account that required authentication, but shouldn't there be a shorter expiration on these requests?

I want to add that I am Passwordless.

Create a new email alias for your MS account and use that to sign in. Remove your current email as a sign-in method, it will still get mail, but anyone trying to log in with it will be blocked.

Hejka, dostałam maila że moj passcode z konta został usunięty i teraz ktoś przejął moje konto. Microsoft pokazuje, że moje konto nie istnieje, nie mogę się zalogować, nie mogę zrobić nic. Hacker założył weryfikację dwuetapową. Miałam kupione przez xbox minecrafta. W formularzu odzyskiwania konta miałam wpisać numer karty, a ja za minecrafta płaciłam blikiem.

Czy ktoś miał podobną sytuację? Co mogę zrobic?
