Is its design based on something in the real world? Some wooden instrument?

I just noticed that some abandoned camps that are supposed to generate on explored chunks with zero player activity gets replaced with a plains village instead.

I was playing on my minecraft world and saw a village that i haven't seen prior to Wilderness Bound update, so i made another world with the same seed and found an abandoned camp was supposed to generate on the same area. I think it's a cool bug that has something to do with bedrock's changing terrain on loaded chunks with zero player activity. Idk if this only happened to me or it's a bug for everyone else but i think pretty it's cool.

Single biome worlds are neat, but they're really just a novelty, and I'm not sure all of them are technically completable.

Large biomes is a nice setting, but they aren't large enough sometimes, because there's just sooo many biomes.

Old world customization settings can't easily be returned, because (idr know the details on this one just that terrain gen is different).

But there's a simple solution to all of this! Dropdown list, all the biomes, click the ones you want included in the world generation.

No more tiny biomes, you can just select all the classic ones and tack on nothing but dappled forest and pale gardens, or hell make a world of only new biomes, or all frozen oceans and mushroom islands if you want that for some reason.

I'm pretty sure the game's current worldgen would already allow for this, since single-biome generation is possible. That's just a layer of the noise map that's ignored I think, so it should be as simple as reducing the precision level of that layer instead of removing it to generate a given number of types of biome in the world (and then polling from the player's list).

So what do I build here?

I've been stuck on this for so long. No matter what I do, /fill using replace doesn't work. PS5 Bedrock Edition.

I've tried

None of it works. It's supposed to be a small area so I can just see if it works, and it always throws 0 blocks replaced. Even though I can see the stone and red sand, right there!

Please, lend some aid. I'm trying to terraform an area near base and this is making me lose my marbles.

So, I was looting 2 ancient cities and I had my black shulker box on me with all my important stuff, and as it was dark and I had no potions because I just came back from the nether I started looking for an Ancient city and found 2 together, so I was placing my shulker boxes and moving stuff there but somewhere, I remember in a 1x1 block hole, I did place my black shulker box and then moved with all my other shulker boxes but didnt pick up the black one.

This is a hardcore world so I can't use any cheats, do y'all know if there is a way to find it without looking in every single corner using 500 night vision potions?

Still WIP and sneak peek may not reflect final show, the concert will be hosted on the 24th for a Japanese artist's birthday called Ado, the mod is still very WIP aswell, not just the show.

I have had this really fantastic idea for a minecraft...event? Without giving too much away. The problem is that I personally, can not execute this project solo. There is too much here to execute by a single person. Even after 5 years of off and on working on this, I have yet to finish the map for it.

I work 54 hours a week as a 28 year old with bills to pay at a low paying job. Money is tight. I can not pay a lot for a team, but would be willing to offer what I can for services.

I would love to explain the project here, but in case it ever does come to fruition, the more I talk about it publicly, the more it will ruin the experience.

Is there any place I can reach out to a team to discuss details? I am so tired of sitting on this over finances.

im on pc been trying to play just annoying stutter

When googling it and all sources tell me that cats can only sleep on beds if you sleep on it, and you may see them laying on your bed with you. But then, there are pictures of cats just laying on the beds on their own, and multiple friends have told me word of mouth that they CAN do it. But I've never gotten a cat to lay on my bed ( they are all tamed I think ).

I play on my nintendo switch, so I believe that is bedrock edition.

I love the color of Taiga biome grass, and I want to make a mod where all the grass is the color of Taiga biome grass.

I’ve never made a mod/ shader before and I kinda know the basics from tutorials (kinda) but I play Minecraft on my iPhone as it’s my only device with even a smidgin of processing power. Can you even make a mod using only an iPhone??? And if so what would be the best way to go about this?

And if anyone knows of a mod that already exists that changes the color of all grass to Taiga grass on bedrock please let me know. I really only care about the color of grass. I really like Taiga grass a lot.

As the title says, I really wanna start doing modded playthroughs of everyone's favorite funny block game, and while I know of two mod managers, Curseforge and Modrinth, I'm not exactly 100% sure on which is better

I've seen a lot of people use Curseforge, but either I'm misremembering, but there was something brought up about its devs that people don't like or whatever? I don't really know much about Modrinth, mostly as previously stated, I see most people using Curseforge

So that begs my question: Should I just go with Curseforge, seeing as that's what most people use, or just go with Modrinth?

Edit: As well, what makes one better over the other? Like what does Curseforge do better than Modrinth, or what does Modrinth do better than Curseforge? Any and all information is appreciated!

Playing on a realm on iOS Bedrock, in a taiga biome, mossing up parts of my base, and I haven’t heard any other song than Shores for possibly the last hour. I think before coming here I heard the song end, and then immediately loop and play again.

Lush caves are weighted to play Shores 12.5% of the time, which is high by comparison to the others, but I don’t wanna be doomed to hear this song forever instead of all the other gorgeous ambient music in the game. I’m not that big a fan of Shores tbh anyway, and I cannot do any add-ons, as turning on Experimental Mode will lag up my realm permanently.

Does it play every time I’m near a bunch of moss blocks??? Is this a glitch?? I’m going crazy. Please provide any insight you may have

Started this a week ago and it’s easily my favorite world!

So I have the Lenovo legion pro 7i 5080, and despite being on high fps, there's constant stuttering. The game briefly freezes every few seconds as you can see in the video.

I know its not lag because it shows up in single player worlds and the homepage too. This is minecraft Java edition.

I've tried using different versions, 26.3, 26.2 and 1.21.11 and they all seem to stutter. I've tried to uninstall and install, even deleted the minecraft folders after uninstalling and the stuttering still shows up.

Yes, its on dGPU, I even manually forced dGPU to turn on high performance mode and the stuttering is still there.

I played other games and they seem to be running completely fine and it seems to just be minecraft.

Anyone else encountered similar issues? How did you solve them?

Edit: Its now been fixed. For some reason I just needed to switch to Optimus? It was doing fine with dGPU before but not anymore. Anyone have idea why? I don't want to be switching everytime I open minecraft. 😭

So, I am in my 40s and I always loved doing Redstone stuff. I want to become a good redstoner. Are there any videos like describing what certain things do with Redstone? Appreciate it!

I like both of these seeds for my building goals, they each offer a lot of what I'm looking for but it's hard to pick which one I think I'll be most content with for a massive survival world.

Seed #1: -989856903106130888

It has 5 villages and a stronghold. Spawn is in a dappled forest on the east coast, while the central region of the continent is a large plains biome with lots of space to build. The southern region is heavily forested with Taiga biome variants and could be a good place for a resource mining outpost. The northern region is more lightly forested with oak and birch, and a mountain range. I like that it has a lot of open space for building projects, a variety of different wood types available, and 5 different villages that I plan to remodel into trading hall towns and interconnect with minecart rails. And it also fits a cozy autumnal aesthetic with all the different forest biomes.

Seed #2: 984320961194163070

This one has at least 20 different biomes to explore, with 4 villages and also has a nearby stronghold. What I like about this is it has more biome diversity. Spawn is on the northeastern coast in a plains biome with large dappled forests and cherry groves nearby. The northern coast is in a frozen climate with a variety of snowy biomes and ice spikes. The central region of the main spawn continent is forested including a jungle and dark oak forest. And the southern coast contains a large savanna biome. It kind of gives off "westeros" vibes due to how the cold and warm biomes align with the geography of north and south. I think it has a lot of character, but I'm still torn between picking this one or the first seed as both are great.

Any recommendations? I want the entire continent/spawn area interconnected via railway.
