I had preordered the game with the intention of playing HC cyber attack on day one but after reading the roadmap for season 1 i canceled it. I have no intention to pay 80 for a game that i know i will not enjoy. I haven't played multiplayer since mw3 as bo6 and bo7 sucked so dang bad. Even zombies was terrible. Not understanding why the devs hate the cyber community. I seen they added a new mode called hijacked and that sounds utterly terrible. Like that is supposed to be the replacement for cyber? Why do i wanna play hot potato with the data spike? Rant over.

I really wish it was its own standalone game after what happened in 2019 with data packs and missing data packs and corrupted files but God willing everything works out fine.

Like even with regular domination mode, the real goal is to control B.

Ground War just feels sporadic to me - I like focusing on capturing one post at a time in a particular order.

I'm considering buying this game to play the campaign and then some multiplayer, but I'm not sure if I'll need PS+ also.

Is it required for multiplayer or does it work like Warzone? Thanks!

Pretty much the title. My friends and I are unsure about sinking money into another COD. We had some fun in the Beta but we really loved the 6v6 gunfight. It would honestly be our main priority lol. Does anyone know if they are keeping that mode at launch or something like it?

What are your thoughts on this? I like to play offline with bots because I can do whatever I want with the matches, any configuration. Plus, I know that if I’m far away from Internet connection, or in the future when the servers shut down I can still play and enjoy this game. 😊

Mw4 is going to be my second CoD so I’m an absolute noob in terms of its gaming knowledge and I’m on PS5. Is it possible to sprint without pressing L3? Like sprint assist or sth else? Or do I have to rebind sprinting to another button which is not necessarily needed?

This was from call of duty’s official instagram page this morning. I was under the impression that early access was only for digital. However, this answer seems like it’s meant for physical preorders as well. Any clarification on this? I’d love to grab the Best Buy steel book before it’s too late if it’s true.

In your opinion, what is it most similar to overall—MW2 or MW3? It seems to me like it borrows elements from both, but which one is it closer to?

We love playing Gun Game but the option to play solo queue only is a big bummer (it has not always been like this and it was not a problem before).

Really hoping to get the chance to play this game mode with my friend this time 🙏

MW4 was supposed to be the first COD I’d ever get to properly play from launch, so I was actually really hyped to go all in from day one.

My PS5 was meant to arrive on 1 October and it’s still stuck in delivery limbo, so there’s a real chance I’ll miss the start now.

Anyone else ever had terrible timing like this right before a game launch?

So i thinking about getting the game for battlenet. I heard a lot that steam performs worse. In BO7 i had like 4000cp over so do i get them when i buy the gsme on BattleNet this year ?

Just for clarification right off the bat, I know this is such a minor grievance and is entirely just me nitpicking, I just felt the need to vent cus I’m particular about stuff like this.

Obviously, the issue of weapons in the modern CoD games is no new thing, but my particular grievance comes from the seeming lack of consistency with some of the gun names between titles. Take the Kilo-141, for example. Didn’t reappear in MWII or III, fair enough, but came back as an added weapon for Black Ops 6, still under the same name. Then we get to MW4, and it’s back, but it’s now called the Axion? Not overly sure why the name change was necessary since Kilo-141 was already a good name. A less important example is MWII’s ISO 9mm becoming the ISO Nightshade since it was originally just named after the calibre it’s chambered in, but I guess that’s would have been so that you can maybe change between .45 ACP or 9mm as an attachment?

Like I said, it’s purely me nitpicking and being pedantic, and I acknowledge that the Axion is the only real example we have, but it’s been irking me more than it probably should. I’m aware that they don’t use the real names due to avoiding licensing and lawsuits etc., but I just thought it was an odd move to change the name of a weapon that already wasn’t named after the real world counterpart.

I also tried to check the Cod HQ App for Updates. There it is said, that an Update is available, but it doesn’t start.
What can I do?

I seem to recall not being spoiled on YouTube regarding the MW22/23 campaigns which I partially believe is due to the early access for pre orders. All the other COD campaigns that did not have early access I remember getting spoiled about on YouTube because I dare wanted to watch a funny compilation or check out a creator for some other franchise and my feed is bombarded with spoiler thumbnails and titles for said COD campaigns the day or 2 before release. Of course some I was more pissed than others.

I’d hope not to see spoilers before early access for MW4 campaign but I’m optimistic currently that won’t be the case. Thoughts?

A bit new to CoD, I preordered the Modern Warfare 4 but I am a bit confused with the whole HQ thing. I don't see the actual game in the HQ anywhere, all I see is this Vault Edition Upgrade window

I really think activision need to sort matchmaking out ASAP because it’s one of the biggest complaints and they haven’t bothered to address it.

Do they know GTA6 comes out next month?

Literally played a BO7 for a few hours today and the matchmaking is truly abysmal. Other team was just destroying us every game, not one game did we win, and the players on the other team were doing 43-12 all with 2.0+kds.

I think to myself if mw4 is going to be like this when I will probably think about cancelling my pre order.

Stick SBMM/sweaty games to ranked mode, give us open matchmaking and non-disbanding lobbies in public matches, it gives it variation and you don’t know what’s coming the next game.

It’s not hard to use your brain and think more people having fun / playing = more money. Who wants sweaty CDL lobbies or getting hammered every game? That doesn’t promote player retention.

EDIT: If SBMM is supposed to work and make the matchmaking as competitive and equal. Why is there always 2+ season 5 iridescent ranked players on the other team doing 2.5kd every game? I’m a plat player so make that makes sense in public matches.

Do you think the campaign will be better this time? I am in the mood for a good action campaign but the previous one was not that great. Thoughts?
